Another model of the Nokia C6 has popped up with the model number C6-01. Of course, the C6-01 is above and the C6 is below so you should see the one and only difference. The C6-01 sports an 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash. Amazon Shipping Sony's 46-Inch HX909 and 60-Inch LX900 3DTVs

Labels: , , , , ,

If you're into the 3D hype then you should probably want to know that Sony is now shipping their HX909 and LX900 Series 3DTVs in the US. The HX909 3DTV sports a 46-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) display and will cost you $3,149.98 on Amazon. Sadly, this price doesn't come with the 3D transmitter or the 3D glasses so you'll need to buy them separately (they're not that cheap). If you want to go hardcore you can step into Sony's LX900 Series of 3DTVs. This includes the gigantic 60-inch XBR60LX900 model which, of course, sports Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 resolution), 240Hz technology, and internet connectivity. Thankfully, you'll get a pair of glasses in the box, but unfortunately this will cost you $4,997 on Amazon.

Telus Accidentally Leaks HTC Desire's Prices In their Source Code?

Labels: , , , , , ,

In Telus' own source code, they may have just tipped off what the pricing for their upcoming HTC Desire will be. Apparently, the smartphone will be hitting the carrier for $299.95 on a 3-year contract, $399.95 on a 2-year contract, and $499.95 on a 1-year contract. Of course, these price could be a bit off seeing how Telus' prices don't end with .95 and they seem a bit high. I'm going to assume that if these price stick that it'll be available for $199.99 on a 3-year contract after rebates.

HP (Possibly) Scraps the Android Tablet, Fully Committed To Windows 7 and WebOS

Labels: , , , , , , ,

A report from All Things Digital has just mentioned that HP actually may not release an Android-based tablet anymore. Instead they're going to focus on them running Windows 7 (terrible idea) and, thankfully, WebOS. Of course, if HP does have an Android tablet up their sleeve it won't be coming this year - sometime in 2011, if anything. This all doesn't really matter as long as HP can pull through with a WebOS tablet that will be amazing, but no pressure HP.

Samsung Captivate Hits One Lucky Owner A Bit Early

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Originally set to launch on July 18th, it seems like at least one lucky person already got their AT&T Samsung Captivate. This handset is now being pictured in the wild and that's really it to be honest. Right now the person who got their lucky Captivate hasn't snapped a video of it doing anything. Of course, this smartphone will be available starting on Sunday, July 18th.

Some Possible HTC Ace Specs Leak Out, Unibody Aluminum Design and Froyo?

Labels: , , , , , ,

Okay, so there are some rumours going around about the specs of the HTC Ace, which some people are calling the HTC Desire HD or a European EVO 4G for some unknown reason. The specs of the Ace are said to feature a 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, an 8MP camera, and European 3G connectivity (no 4G support). Of course, these are fairly standard specs for the "superphones" out there, but the big thing that it may have out-of-the-box is Android 2.2 "Froyo". It seems that the one thing holding up the launch is the Sense UI skinning that HTC still has to work on. The body of the Ace is also tipped to be unibody aluminum.

Apple Rumoured To Launch 11.6-Inch MacBook Air In H2, iPod Touch With Camera In September

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

DigiTimes is back at it again, two days in a row, with another Apple rumour. This time we're talking about their thin-and-light notebook and their PMP; I'm, of course, talking about the MacBook Air and the iPod Touch. The rumour states that Apple will be launching a new MacBook Air with an Intel Core 2010 ULV CPU built by Quanta in the second half of this year. This update to the MacBook Air will be the smallest notebook that Apple has since the rumour states that the display with be 11.6-inches.

The other rumour is that the iPod Touch with a 3MP camera will be available in August or September of this year. I'm expecting September, since that's when Apple usually updates their iPod line-up. Also expected is that the iPod Touch will be using the A4 CPU - who knows what it'll be clocked at though.

This includes the one you see above, the Sony Ericsson Spiro and the Nokia N8 which is below. The Spiro is the lower-end of the two, sporting a 2.2-inch QVGA display, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, and a 2MP camera. This slider will be available sometime in August. The Nokia N8 is one of the better smartphones out there - hindered by Symbian^3 if that's not your style - and it sports a 12MP camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, a 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display (360 x 640 resolution), a 3.5mm headphone jack, 16GB of internal storage, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 3.0 / WiFi b/g/n, and a 680MHz CPU. Sadly, for the N8 you'll have to wait until October which is three months away.

Check them all out on T-Mobile UK's website here - along with the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini Pro and the BlackBerry Pearl 3G (9105).
