Labels: , , , , , , ,

This one doesn't look like a joke. Mobile Syrup's latest scoop is that Rogers plans to launch the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc and the XPERIA Play in late April for $99.99 on a 3-year contract. It doesn't look like the handset's contract-free prices have been determined yet. The Arc looks like it could land on April 30th, while the Play could hit the carrier sometime between April 19th to the 21st. Interesting stuff!

DROID-Life has managed to get their hands on some upcoming prices for future Verizon devices. The most important two are on here are, without a doubt, the Samsung DROID Charge (i510) and the HTC Incredible 2. According to the chart, they'll be available for $299.99 and $199.99, respectively. Yes, it's the Monaco / Monza which could be launching as the Storm 3, Curve Touch, or the BlackBerry Touch - it's all too confusing at this point. The name doesn't really matter because it's all about the software.

This smartphone is going to be running on BB OS 6.1 and there'll be a global GSM model for it. Specs are still unknown right now but you'll need a BlackBerry ID to login to the system. If you want to know more then just check out BGR for all of the details.

Samsung Galaxy S Plus (i9001) Gets Official With 1.4GHz CPU and "Gingerbread"

Labels: , , , , ,

Yet another variant of the Samsung Galaxy S is initially headed to Russia in late April. That's a pretty good upgrade, but the rest of the spec sheet stays the same.

This new smartphone will be hitting Russia for 23,990 rubies ($844 USD) which is actually a bit expensive. There's no word if it'll be hitting other places right now so we'll have to wait for that.

HTC Holding An Event On April 12th; Pyramid, "Honeycomb" Tablets, Or European EVO 3D?

Labels: , , , ,

HTC wants us to join them "to see what's next" on April 12th which is in two weeks. The event starts at 1:30PM GMT which is 8:30AM ET - that's early. Okay, so now it's time to speculate what'll be announced. It could be a number of things: the HTC Pyramid or some "Honeycomb" based tablets. To be honest, it doesn't really which one they announce because I'm looking forward to both. Engadget is guessing that it could be something mediocre like a European EVO 3D launch which would be upsetting.
