Samsung YP-MB2 PMP / MID To Feature 4-Inch AMOLED Display?

Labels: , , , , , , ,

We heard about it over a week ago and some spec details have just been leaked out regarding the Samsung YP-MB2 PMP from Samsung. Apparently, this PMP will feature a 4-inch (Super?) AMOLED touchscreen display, Bluetooth 2.1 / GPS / WiFi support, a touchpad, and Android with their own Touchwiz 3.0 UI. This MID / PMP will be a part of their Yepp line-up and that large display is giving me hot flashes of the Samsung Galaxy S. It seems a bit over the top for a PMP / MID, but hopefully it packs an HDMI output as well. This should have access to the Android Market and could be a strong competitor to the iPod Touch, but it won't be outselling it.

Google Chrome OS Set To Launch In Late Fall

Labels: , , , , ,

There are a bunch of people out there who are waiting for Google's Chrome OS to see if it'll really be worth it - one of those people being me. Sadly, we'll all have to wait a couple more months because Google said that their OS won't be shipping until late Fall aka Q4 of this year. We should expect some Asus and Acer netbooks to be one of the first few with the OS on them. If it's good enough maybe it'll be suitable for tablets as well.
