After months of waiting, AT&T has finally decided that today was a good day to release the Android-based Motorola Flipout. This handset features a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a 3MP fixed-focus camera, a flipout QWERTY keyboard, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 512MB of RAM / ROM, a microSD card slot, a 600MHz CPU, an FM radio with RDS support, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 support, and version 2.1 of the OS. Check it out on AT&T where it's available for $79.99 on a 2-year contract.

Well, well, well, yes, that's three "well's" for ya. That's because AT&T has just announced that they'll be launching, you guessed it, three Android-based smartphones from Motorola in the future (before the end of the year). The first one we know about already and it's the Flipout which has been available in Canada via Rogers for a while now. The Flipout features a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, a 3.1MP camera, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.1 with the Blur UI. Next up is the Motorola Bravo (pictured above on the right) which sports a 3.7-inch touchscreen WVGA display, an 800MHz CPU, a 3MP camera, and DLNA support. You may notice this handset looks familiar that's because it was spotted on the Chicago bus last week by someone from Android Guys - I'm also pretty sure this is the MB520 Kobe / Diablo. Last, but not least, there's the Motorola Flipside (above on the left). This one features a 3.1-inch HVGA touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a trackpad, and GPS support. This one should also look familiar because it has also surfaced before as the MB508 (Sage).

The Flipout will be available starting on October 17th for $79.99 on a 2-year contract while the Bravo and the Flipside will be available for the holiday season for $129.99 and $99.99, respectively, on a 2-year contract.

It's available in Canada via Rogers but it surprisingly hasn't hit a carrier (AT&T) in the US yet. Today Motorola has confirmed that their Android-based Flipout will be hitting the US before the holidays which means it'll be available in the next month or two. No rumoured launch dates are being tossed around right now so all we can really do is wait.

We first heard about the smartphone you see above way back in April. The smartphone is said to be codenamed the Motorola Chindi and it will reportedly be hitting AT&T sometime in the future. The rumoured specs for this handset are said to be a 3.1MP camera and Android with MOTOBLUR but that's just about all we know. Below is a shot of the back of the smartphone and it's looking gold-orange or something like that.

Update: Apparently, the smartphone is just the Motorola Flipout that AT&T will be getting.

Rogers may have released the BlackBerry Curve 9300 today but that's not the only new smartphone that's available on the carrier. They have also decided to release the Motorola Flipout for $29.99 on a 3-year contract. Other price points are: $274.99 on a 2-year contract, $324.99 on a 1-year contract, and $374.99 contract-free. This handset packs a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, a 3.1MP camera, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.1 with MOTOBLUR which is a custom UI that syncs all of your social networking. Thanks to Best Buy we now know how much the Rogers Motorola Flipout will cost. The Android handset will be the hitting the carrier soon and it'll be available for $29.99 on a 3-year contract and $374.99 contract-free. If you don't believe me then you can check it out for yourself on Best Buy's website. By the way if what we heard last week was true then this smartphone should be available before the end of the week.

In Canada all the buzz may be about the iPhone 4 launch this morning but Rogers has another Android phone that it will reportedly be launching next week. Yes, it's the Motorola Flipout which is sporting a 2.8-inch display, a QWERTY keyboard, a 3MP camera, and Android 2.1 with MOTOBLUR. This smartphone will be available for $29.99 on a 3-year contract.

According to the picture above courtesy of Android Central, which is all we have to base this rumour on, AT&T in the US could be planning to launch the Motorola FLIPOUT in the future. Of course, the handset will be packing Android 2.1 with MOTOBLUR along with the same old spec sheet. That's a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a 3MP camera, WiFi / GPS support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 3G connectivity, and the QWERTY keyboard.

If you live in Europe you'll be able to get the Motorola Flipout for €349 ($428 USD) unlocked. In Germany, O2 and Vodafone has just announced that they'll be releasing this handset as well - starting sometime in July which is next month. The handset sports a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a unique slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3G connectivity, WiFi / GPS support, a 3MP camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android 2.1 along with MOTOBLUR. Look out for it soon.

Update: According to Unwired View, Orange UK could be the first carrier to launch this handset. It's coming in the near future.

Motorola has finally announced their next Android handset, the FLIPOUT. It's got a weird and unique way to flip out the QWERTY keyboard, even more so than their Backflip. Anyways, this handset will be sporting an enhanced MOTOBLUR UI over top of Android 2.1 along with the rest of the spec sheet. That's a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, a 700MHz CPU, 512MB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, WiFi / GPS / Bluetooth support. This smartphone should be available in Europe sometime soon - before the end of this month.

Way back in January we heard about the Motorola Ruth but apparently it's actually just the Motorola Flipout. We already have most of the spec sheet down pat and the above picture just confirms that it'll have a microSD card slot along with WiFi / GPS support. Look out for it next month - June.

Back in April, we heard about a boxy Motorola handset that was sporting MOTOBLUR over top of Android 2.1. Named the Motorola Flipout, this packs a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, 512MB of ROM, 256MB of RAM, a 3.1MP camera, GPS support, and a 700MHz CPU. The Flipout will be sporting a weird way to slide out the QWERTY keyboard and Motorola has the knack for doing this sort of thing. They do have the Backflip as proof.

This handset will reportedly be available sometime in June, but we don't know the price or which carriers will get them.
