HTC "Saga" aka the Desire 2 Leaks Again, Running Android 2.2.1 and Unibody Design

Labels: , , , , , ,

Coming from Mobile01 is the photo you see above. It's finally a photo of the back (and the front, but we've seen that already) that's being codenamed the "Saga" and what could be announced at MWC as the Desire 2. Clearly, it's sporting a unibody design and sports an LED flash with a camera. The lucky guy mentioned that this handset belongs to a "client" of his and mentions that it's running Android 2.2.1 (with the Sense UI); it's also reportedly about as thick as the 7 Mozart (11.9mm) and the Legend (11.5mm) - the Desire is 11.9mm so that's sounds just about right. Well, now we play the waiting game.

A new handset for Samsung has just hit the FCC and it's the SCH-R910 which may or may not be the Forte. This handset will be hitting MetroPCS in the US and will be sporting a WVGA display, WiFi / Bluetooth support, a 5MP camera, and a 1GHz CPU. Hopefully, Samsung clears the air and makes this official at MWC in less than two weeks. Check it out at the FCC.

HTC Merge Hits the FCC, Eventually On Its Way To Alltel -- And Verizon

Labels: , , , , , ,

The handset we've seen leaked over and over again has finally hit the FCC. Yes, it's the Android powered HTC Merge which is sporting the model number PG32100 if you're interested. This handset might have been axed by Verizon at this point but we do know that it's still headed to Alltel in the USA - at least that's what the leaks say. Check it out at the FCC.

Update: It looks like Verizon will be getting this one in the future as well. Phandroid has just pointed out that the FCC has just posted the Verizon User Manual for this handset.

Fone Arena got some nice inventory screenshot photos and they're all upcoming Android devices which is great news. You take a look at the photo above and you see the HTC "Pyramid" which we heard of just a few days ago and it's said to be sporting some amazing specs for a smartphone. Moving along there's also photos below confirming the existence of the HTC "Flyer", said to be the company's 7-inch Android tablet, the LG Optimus 3D smartphone, and the LG Star Tab - which could be a variant of the G-Slate / Optimus Tab. You can bet on these all making an MWC appearance in less than two weeks.

Fone Arena also got another photo of the HTC Desire 2 in the systems but we already know about that one.
