Nokia Never Ever Releasing An Android Handset

Labels: , , , , , ,

Still waiting for that Nokia Android device that has never been mentioned ever before? Well, that's probably because Nokia is not planning on ever jumping onto the Android bandwagon. It's not 100% confirmed, but a phone conference was reportedly overheard and they specifically stated that Nokia "will never release an Android handset." Okay, well, maybe it is 100% confirmed. Looks like they're going to try to dig themselves out of their own grave with Maemo and / or the future of Symbian.

Redesigned Samsung Omnia II Headed For Verizon In the Flesh, Still Running WinMo 6.1

Labels: , , ,

Yes, Verizon is launching the Samsung Omnia II. Yes, it will be redesigned and we've known that for a while already. Well, what you see above is a photo of the redesigned Omnia II. Unfortunately, it looks like it will be outed with the old school WinMo 6.1, which is pointless. I'm hoping that it magically gets released as a WinMo 6.5 device or that it gets a free upgrade to WinMo 6.5 right away because what's the point?
