T-Mobile USA Sells Out Of the HTC HD2 In Four Hours

Labels: , , ,

Sadly, T-Mobile USA didn't stock enough HTC HD2's to make everyone happy. The latest report states that all T-Mobile locations sold out of the smartphone in under 4 hours, which is pretty impressive. Considering that every store only had a limited amount of them, it's no surprise really. Looks like a lot of people will spend a lot more time waiting for their very own HD2.

Update: According to Electronista, the current estimate is that the HD2 sold only around ,000 units in the first day even though they sold out rather quickly. The smartphone is "surprisingly" popular and clearly T-Mobile didn't get as many HD2's as they should have.

T-Mobile HTC HD2 Just $99.99 On Amazon Already

Labels: , , , , ,

Say what!? T-Mobile's HTC HD2 was only released yesterday and Amazon (here) is already offering it for just a flat-out $99.99 on a new 2-year contract. This is definitely a sweet deal since it is one of the best smartphones (at least on paper) to ever hit the market. You'll be stuck with Windows Mobile 6.5 on this bad boy with no native upgrade to Windows Phone 7. I think it's definitely worth the price.

HTC HD2 Is Not Upgradeable To Windows Phone 7 Series, Finally Confirmed

Labels: , , , ,

Thank God, it's finally confirmed and now everyone can stop asking. Microsoft has just mentioned that the HTC HD2 is "not compliant with the Windows Phone 7 Series hardware specifications." Yes, this means that it will not be upgradeable to Windows Phone 7. Oh well. Looks like you'll have to wait until someone manually does it for ya, start begging some devs.

Microsoft has just confirmed that their first batch of Windows Phone 7 Series phones will be sporting a WVGA (480 x 800) resolution. At a later date, they'll have phones with a smaller HVGA (320 x 480) resolution. Of course, word has it that the HTC HD2 won't be upgradeable to WinPho 7 so that's bad news for those owners.

T-Mobile USA looks like they're holding an event to "come experience the HTC HD2" on March 16th. Maybe this is when they'll finally reveal when the launch date for the handset will be. Earlier rumours pointed that date to be March 24th. Everyone's really confident in 24th being HD2 day, so it's only 2 weeks away.

T-Mobile Branded HTC HD2 and the Nokia 5230 Nuron Pictured In the Wild

Labels: , , , , , ,

We already know that T-Mobile USA is planning to launch the HTC HD2 and the Nokia Nuron. Today pictures have popped up of both handsets rocking the T-Mobile branding. For the HD2's sake it just shows us the pre-installed Blockbuster app, but we already know that this means it's a T-Mobile bound handset - updated to have a T-Mobile branded one. The Nokia Nuron is the 5230 and it's clearly got the T-Mobile badge on there. Both handsets will be launching really soon.

T-Mobile Launching the CLIQ XT On March 10th, HTC HD2 and Dell Mini 10 On the 24th?

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

According to the latest leak, the Motorola CLIQ XT is scheduled to launch on March 10th and the HTC HD2 is set to launch on March 24th if this leak is to be believed - we're talking about T-Mobile USA here. Apparently, March 24 will be a pretty big day because they could be launching the Dell Mini 10 netbook on that day as well. Sometime in March we could also see more T-Mobile plans, more specifically Even More 1.5. We don't have any details on this so we'll have to wait around for that.

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Thanks to this T-Mobile USA leak it looks like the HTC HD2's pricing was just revealed. If the screen show above is to be believed then the HTC HD2 will be available for $199.99 on a 2-year contract and $449.99 contract-free which isn't as bad as I expected. This handset should be launching sometime this month, so you don't have to wait much longer!

Update: I forgot to mention that the picture above also mentions that the Motorola Cliq XT could launch on T-Mobile USA for $129.99 on a 2-year contract and $329.99 contract-free.

T-Mobile USA Launching HTC HD2 and HSPA+ USB Modem In March

Labels: , , ,

It should be no surprise that T-Mobile USA will be launching the HTC HD2 and we now know that it will be in March (next month) - officially. We don't know the exact launch details so we'll have to wait for that. This HTC HD2 will be launching with Blockbuster On Demand, a Barnes & Noble eReader app, and Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on a microSD card for you. You can check out T-Mobile for the HD2 teaser site (here).

Oh yeah, T-Mobile will also be launching a 21Mbps HSPA+ USB model next month as well. This isn't a big deal right now since there aren't a lot of markets with the capabilities right now.

T-Mobile's Future Handset Launches Leak Out? HTC HD2, Nokia Nuron (5230), and Motorola CLIQ XT (Zeppelin)

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

Could this be for real? Has T-Mobile USA's upcoming handset line-up just leaked out? They clearly don't know how to spell Sony Ericsson and they refer to Motorola as Mot, so those could signal that this is a fake. But anyways, let's move away from the negative.

The HTC HD2, Motorola CLIQ XT, and Nokia Nuron are the highlights on here. The HD2 will supposedly be released on March 24th, similar to what we heard before. The Motorola CLIQ XT will supposedly launch on March 10th and it's looking like the Zeppelin to us. The Nokia Nuron will supposedly launch on March 17th and this one's looking like the Nokia 5230 that should've been released last year.

Other launches include the blue Samsung Gravity 2 on February 24th.

Labels: , , ,

Could Orange UK be planning to launch the HTC HD2 in the near future? This handset is already available on a couple of different carriers, but it would be great if Orange got it as well. This is signaled by a help page that was just spotted on Orange UK's own website. The only thing we can do right now is wait and see. Anyways, the help page is here.

HTC HD2 Gets Another Look, A Price Drop and a Delay

Labels: ,

If the HTC HD2's battery life isn't long enough for you then you could be looking at your future extended battery. This is a slightly better photo then we saw a couple of weeks ago and they've also cut the price down to just £35 ($55 USD). Unfortunately, it won't be launching this month since it's been pushed to a March launch. It's only one month, calm down.

We've heard whispers about a T-Mobile Dark Project lately, so what could this be? Well, there's some new rumours going around that it'll be the launch of the HTC HD2 and the Motorola Zeppelin. The employees for T-Mobile are expected to start their training calendars on February 17th for the HD2. Labels: , , ,

T-Mobile is going to launch the HTC HD2 and everyone knows this already. There's even better news though. It'll be coming to the US with more ROM and RAM, 1GB and 576MB, respectively. There's also going to be a 16GB microSD card in the box which is great news. Maybe the HD2 could be getting that Windows Mobile 7 upgrade after all.

It'll be available for around £53 ($86 USD), which could be worth it if you're looking to double your battery life.

T-Mobile Launch Dates Leaked? HTC HD2, myTouch Slide, Motorola Zeppelin, and More!

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Big T-Mobile rumours today. First up is that the HTC HD2 will be launching in March. Along with that launch on May 17th they may also be launching the myTouch Slide which will essentially be the HTC Espresso - we saw the UA Profile for it a couple of days ago. The Motorola Zeppelin should be launching, but we don't know when yet. On March 17th, they should be launching the Nokia 5230 and that unknown Garmin handset could be set for a May 5th launch date.

T-Mobile will also be launching something from Dell but we don't know what it is right now. It's not a cell phone though so it's not the Dell Mini 3. It could be the Dell Mini 5 / Streak MID, but it could also be a netbook as well.

On February 10th, you can also expect the myTouch 3G v1.2 which will be the myTouch 3G with the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack. Don't forget that starting right now you can get the myTouch 3G Fender Edition.

Telstra Australia Launches the HTC HD2 For Free On $80 Monthly Contract

Labels: , , ,

It looks like the HTC HD2 has just hit Australia, via Telstra. It's available right now online (here) or in-stores for free on a 2-year contract where you'll have to pay $80 monthly. This is definitely good news, but that's a lot to fork over every month. Up to you if you're willing to buy it.

HTC HD2 Capacitive Stylus Now Available!

Labels: ,

Don't feel like getting fingerprints all over your new HTC HD2? Well, you can now get the official HTC HD2 capacitive stylus for around $28 USD. I'd still prefer using your fingers over anything since you can really multitouch with a single stylus. You can always buy two though...

Update: You can actually get it on their website here for £11.99 ($20 USD).
