HP Zeen C510 Android Tablet Gets Leaked In Photos, Specs Still Unknown

Labels: , , , ,

Another Engadget exclusive has just been posted, this time it's dealing with HP's Android tablet. Dubbed the Zeen C510, this tablet unfortunately doesn't have access to the App Market. Of course, there are a bunch of pre-loaded apps including Facebook, 60 Minutes, MSNBC, Dreamworks, and a Barnes & Noble one as well. The specs aren't known right now but the software and the touchscreen is said to be improved in this prototype. This should be launching in September but you never know what will happen. This should cost you $399 and it will come with the Zeus printer so don't expect any Galaxy Tab like specs.

HTC Holding An Event On September 15th, Could Be Unveiling the HTC HD3 (HD7), Desire HD (or Z), and Their Android Tablet

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

In London, HTC will be holding an event on September 15th but no one knows what it's for. The latest rumour states that they'll be unveiling three big devices. The first of which will be the Windows Phone 7 based HTC HD3 or HD7. The rumoured specs for this smartphone - dating back to March - are a 4.5-inch AMOLED multitouch display (1,280 x 800 resolution), a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, an 8MP camera with a dual-LED and 720p HD video recording, an HDMI output, 1080p HD video playback, 1GB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, 32GB of internal storage, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi / Bluetooth / 3G / 4G support, a 10mm thin body, and a 1,800 mAh battery. These specs are clearly taking the smartphone to the next level but I doubt that it's true.

The rumour also states that we could see the announcement of the European HTC Desire HD or the Desire Z as well as the company's own Android tablet.

It would be unlikely that we'll see the unveiling of the Verizon HTC dual-mode CDMA/GSM Android smartphone at this event - since it is taking place in Europe.

Samsung Announces the Dual-Core ARM Cortex A9 CPU, Calls It the Orion - Coming In H1 2011

Labels: , ,

Samsung has just announced something great for the tech-saavy audience. They have just announced the Samsung Orion which isn't a smartphone. The Orion is actually a 1GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 CPU, which will be a speedy chip when it hits the market in the first half of 2011. This CPU packs 1080p video encoding and decoding at 30fps, embedded GPS support, a native triple display controller, and on-chip HDMI 1.3a support. That's a lot of power that you'll have in one device - three displays at once, you can sign me up. In case you're interested, this CPU has 5 times the 3D graphics performance over the previous processor generation from Samsung (the Hummingbird). Wow.
