HP Unveils the Envy 14 Sceptre, Feb 8th Release Date For $1,400

Labels: , ,

HP has just unveiled what they've been teasing for the past week. It's the Envy 14 Sceptre notebook and it's being touted as a "premium Ultrabook". This notebook will be hitting the US starting on February 8th with a base price of $1,400 which is more expensive than other ultrabooks on the market - even the MacBook Air. The notebook itself will be hitting a bunch of other places afterwards which isn't surprising.

For your money you'll be getting a 14-inch display with a 1,600 x 900 resolution, an Intel Core i5-2476M CPU, 4GB of RAM, a backlit keyboard, NFC, Beats Audio, full copies of Photoshop and Premiere Elements, and a 9-hour battery life. This notebook weighs 3.79 pounds and is 20mm thick so it's definitely not the lightest or thinnest around. Look out for this one soon!

HP Refreshes Envy 15, 17, and 17 3D; Unveil the Folio 13

Labels: , , , , ,

HP has just refreshed their Envy line-up and that includes the 15, 17, and 17 3D. They'll be available starting on December 7th for $1,100, $1,250, and $1,600, respectively, so you better have some moolah ready. The notebooks all look better this time around and hopefully that trackpad's been improved a bit.

The Envy 15 and 17 feature a Core i5-2430M CPU along with 6GB of RAM, Bluetooth, a DVD burner, AMD graphics, and WiDi support. The Envy 15 comes with a standard 15.6-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution (with a 500GB HDD), while the Envy 17 steps it up with a 17.3-inch display with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. The Envy 17 and 17 3D both pack a 750GB HDD and the 3D model also has 8GB of RAM along with a Blu-ray player which is great if you need it.

HP didn't stop there though. They've also unveiled the Folio 13 which we got a peek of yesterday. This ultrabook packs a 13.3-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, a Core i5-2467M CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD, a 6-cell battery (that should last 9 hours), HDMI / USB 2.0 / 3.0 ports, a memory card slot, a backlit keyboard, and the company's CoolSense tech. The notebook weighs 3.3 pounds and it's 0.7-inches thick. This one will be available on December 7th starting at $900 if you're interested.

Labels: , , , , , ,

Here's some interesting news coming from This Is My Next. Apparently, the HP Pre 3 won't be hitting Sprint which is surprising since the first two did so. Looks like HP has decided to switch it up from what Palm was doing for some unknown reason. HP could now plan to launch the Pre 3 on both Verizon and AT&T since they're the two biggest carriers in the US. It'll be easy for them to give AT&T models since it's the same ones that they'd use for Canada's carriers.
