Microsoft's ZuneHD "Confirmed" Specs

Labels: , , ,

Yes, these are "confirmed" (double-check the quotes) specifications. The "confirmed" spec sheet says that the ZuneHD will have a 3.6-inch OLED display, a Nvidia Tegra chipset, an HDMI output, WiFi, HD radio, and it could have a limited edition "sexy" dock. Last but not least is that the ZuneHD will come in a number of different flavours ranging from 4GB to 120GB of flash / HDD storage. While the spec sheet does look somewhat promising it is clear that these specs are just speculations - at least that's what I think. While the ZuneHD looks good physically, we're waiting for a real spec sheet to be confirmed. This is all you get for now though.

Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH Tocco Gets Unboxed

Labels: , ,

Slash Gear got their hands on a Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH Tocco straight from Korea. The phone is not available here in North America, so it's good to get an early look from Slash Gear. The S8300 is a slider that has: an AMOLED touchscreen with Samsung's TouchWiz UI, an 8MP camera, Bluetooth 2.1, and a microSD card slot - just to name a few features. Just watch the video below to see exactly what the S8300 Tocco is all about.

Mercedes SplitView Display In The 2010 S-Class

Labels:

This is interesting and it's finally been implemented. The splitview display will be available in the new Mercedes-Benz 2010 S-Class Series. Just like the name suggests it will display one image / video from the driver's perspective and then another image / video from the passenger's perspective. Instead of having 2 different screens on the dashboard, this technology will leave you with one monitor on the dashboard for a cleaner look. Take a look at the video display for a more in-depth look.

Final Fantasy XIII 20-Minute Gameplay Footage

Labels: , ,

This is something I'm definitely interested in, Final Fantasy XIII. It's expected to be available early next year for North America and I simply can't wait. This footage isn't all that clear and it isn't in English, so just watch it already!! Keep in mind that this is only the first part of the footage. You can watch the second part here.

New Tekken 6 Screenshots

Labels: ,

I'm not a fan of Tekken 6, but maybe some of you are. I much prefer Street Fighter over Tekken, but the screenshots don't look too bad. I haven't played much Tekken in my life, so maybe that's why I'm not a fan. Anyways, if you want to take a look at a whole bunch of Tekken 6 screenshots, click on the Kotaku link below.

Dell Working On Cheaper Adamo Models?

Labels: , , , , , ,

According to Digitimes (the go-to rumour source), we could see cheaper Dell Adamo models in the near future. The current Dell Adamo is all looks and no performance (for its price), kind of like how I view most of Apple's products. Apparently, Dell is working on a cheaper Adamo model. If these rumours are true, then it could be the Adamo 9 that was accidentally leaked about a month ago. This new model is expected to be cheaper and will utilize Intel's new CULV (ultra-low voltage) processor. This new Adamo model is expected to ship by this August.

Digitimes also mentioned that Toshiba and Lenovo may also be using the Intel CULV CPUs in some of their future laptops.

Twitter Visitors Double In March; 9.3 Million Unique Visitors In The U.S.

Labels:

Twitter's growth is really, really picking up. After growing 33% in January and 55% in February, Twitter managed to skyrocket in March to a 131% growth. On the stat sheet, that's 9.3 million U.S. users in March. Although Canada is not involved in this statistic I can tell you that it is also growing here too. A month ago, I knew about 3 friends with Twitter, and now that number could be around 25 people and even my girlfriend - who's not a huge fan of Twitter right now - is considering on making her own account tomorrow. I've become a regular Twitter user and I'm glad. My blog has really picked up in traffic and I'm really happy that I can socialize with random people anywhere in the world - mainly U.S. though.

Acer Aspire 3935 and 18.4-Inch Aspire 8935G Expected This June

Labels: , , ,

Acer has a bunch of Aspire's and maybe you'll like one of these 2 laptops. The first one is the Acer Aspire 3935 which has a 13.3-inch display with a 16:9 CineCrystal LED backlit display and a 1,366 x 768 resolution. The 3935 weighs 4.18 pounds and is only 1-inch thick. The Aspire 3935 comes packed with a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7350 with a 4500MHD graphics card, 3GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, an 8x DVD writer, a full-sized keyboard, a "multi-gesture touchpad," an integrated webcam, 3 USB 2.0 ports, a fingerprint reader, a 4-cell battery and will run on Windows Vista Home Premium. That's a lot of specs, but it doesn't even come close to the 8935G. The Aspire 8935G Gemstone has an 18.4-inch full HD 1080p display, an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 graphics card, a 500GB HDD (up to 1TB), a 4x Blu-ray writer, an integrated webcam, a 5-in-1 card reader, 4 USB 2.0 ports, an 8-cell battery, and a bunch of essentials pulled from the 3935 as well. Sadly, it doesn't look like the Aspire 8935G has an HDMI port. As of right now, there's no word on the price tag, but it is expected to be released this June.

Mozilla has just called for a code freeze on their latest beta. Firefox 3.5 Beta 4 is expected to go through a code freeze soon (Friday) and this means that we could see it released to the public as early as next Wednesday. I'm excited to see how Firefox plans to take on Chrome because I expect Chrome to boost their share when their extension platform gets released.

Is This A Fake Or Real Zune HD Picture?

Labels: , , , ,

It looks fake to me. This screenshot was accompanied with a small spec sheet, including: HDMI, HD radio and "integration with Xbox Live Arcade games in '3D.'" I think it looks like a photoshop, but what do you think? I'm calling fake here.

LG GC900 Viewty II Gets A Name Change; Looking Sexy

Labels: , , ,

The LG Smart aka GC900 aka Viewty II has been a bit more leaked and is now officially official. This information was found on LG's official blog, but it has been pulled off the site for now. The Viewty II really looks amazing, but I'm hoping that the touchscreen doesn't fail and that the phone doesn't come with a hefty amount of lag. Anyways, the 3-inch touchscreen you see here has a 720 x 480 (or 800 x 480 judging from Boy Genius) resolution. It also comes packed with an 8MP camera with a xenon flash and is also capable of 480p video, geotagging, aGPS, Wifi, HSDPA and you'll find this in a nice, slim 12.4mm thin body. Keep in mind that it will also have LG's new S-Class 3D UI and a whopping 32GB of storage. If you want to view more sexy Viewty II pictures then hit up the Boy Genius link below.
