This is likely because of the iPhone 4 that was announced three days ago and because seven people went to go buy one. Either way, check it out here if you really want to.

3M Unveils USB 3.0-Powered 18.5-Inch Monitor

Labels: , ,

It looks like 3M has just shown off something pretty good today. What you see above is their 18.5-inch LCD monitor that is powered by a USB 3.0 port. The sad part about this is that it'll take up two ports - not one - but hopefully they'll cut that to just one port whenever they launch it. This monitor sports a 1,366 x 768 resolution and uses just 8W of power which is about half of what normal LCD displays use.

Motorola XT720 Headed To Europe With Milestone Moniker and 8MP Camera, Arriving July 2nd?

Labels: , , , , ,

Motorola has just announced that they'll be launching the Motoroi in Europe as the Milestone XT720. The specs are pretty much untouched, and that's a good thing except for the fact that it'll be running the same ol' 550MHz CPU along with Android 2.1 instead of "Froyo" - that update should come later though. The other specs should be mouth-watering though: a 3.7-inch WVGA (480 x 854) multitouch capacitive display, an 8MP AF camera with 720p HD video recording and a xenon flash, WiFi / GPS support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, an 8GB card in the box, and an HDMI output. It probably isn't a coincidence that this was announced today - with WWDC later.

Update: If you're interested, Unwired View has just pointed out that Expansys [in the UK] is now taking pre-orders for this handset if you're willing to spend £449.99 ($657 USD). This is expected to be available starting on July 2nd.

Update: According to Engadget, the Milestone XT720 got a light spec boost. The CPU inside (TI OMAP3440) is clocked at 720MHz and the RAM got a slight bump to 512MB. That's all.
