HTC Officially Announces the White Desire and the Black Legend, Froyo With Sense Pre-Installed

Labels: , , , , , ,

HTC has just announced that they're going to have two new Android-based handsets available, but they're not entirely new. We've seen the white HTC Desire already so that shouldn't be too surprising. The handset that caught me off guard here is the black HTC Legend which looks sexy - especially with the aluminum unibody. Specs stay the exact same as the old ones except both of these models come with Android 2.2 pre-installed along with the Sense UI which is great news if you've held off on buying one.

Canada's Bell To Exclusively Launch the HTC Legend?

Mobile Syrup has been hearing a couple of whispers that Canada's Bell will be exclusively launching the HTC Legend. AT&T Launching the HTC Desire In May / June, Sprint Getting the HTC Legend

Labels: , , , , , , ,

According to Boy Genius' "close sources" AT&T will be making a big push with Android this year since they seem to have scooped up the launch for the HTC Desire. This handset is basically the Nexus One with the Sense UI and Flash 10.1 support. Apparently, the look of the Desire will be altered slightly, but we don't know much about that right now. This handset is expected to launch in May / June of this year!

Sprint already has the HTC Hero and it looks like they're getting the successor, the HTC Legend, as well. Like the Hero, the Legend will get a different look and let's hope they remove that chin - just like they did with the Hero. We'll have to see what happens, but don't expect the specs of the handset to change. We don't know when this handset will launch yet.
