HTC Ville Pictured, 8mm Thin and Android 4.0 At Launch

Labels: , , , ,

PocketNow has managed to scoop up the first photo of the upcoming HTC Ville which should be announced in early 2012 - possibly MWC in February. The smartphone is said to be sporting a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display, an 8MP camera, a dual-core 1.5GHz CPU, and should launch with Android "Ice Cream Sandwich" since it doesn't look like there's room for buttons here. Sadly, the company might ruin it with their Sense UI. Keep in mind that this smartphone should also be their thinnest yet at somewhere in the ballpark of 8mm. Shipping is rumoured for April 2012.

HTC Ville Rumour Says That Sense UI Will Destroy Android "Ice Cream Sandwich" In April

Labels: , , , ,

BGR has just picked up quite the exclusive scoop on an HTC phone that you should see sometime in 2012. The HTC "Ville" is rumoured to be launching in April 2012. This smartphone is said to pack a mediocre 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display but it makes up for it with the rest of the spec sheet. Apparently, it'll house a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon CPU, an 8mm thin body, HSPA+ support, Beats Audio, a 1,650mAh battery, and Android "Ice Cream Sandwich" with the Sense 4.0 UI.

That spec sheet seems pretty good right now but it'll be a hard sell with HD displays and quad-core CPUs taking over mobile phones in 2012. Furthermore, HTC is putting their Sense skin over top of the sexy "Ice Cream Sandwich" so you might want to pick up a Galaxy Nexus is you don't want to get slowed down.
