Motorola Announces the XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition Tablets

Motorola has just announced two new tablets that leaked a few months ago. Yes, it's the XOOM 2 and the XOOM 2 Media Edition. First off, the XOOM 2 packs a 10.1-inch display while the Media Edition features a smaller 8.2-incher. Inside they both have a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, 16GB of storage, and Android 3.2 "Honeycomb". They're both under 9mm thin (8.8mm for the XOOM 2 and 8.9mm for the Media Edition) and will be hitting the UK and Ireland in mid-November. The US release date is unknown right now and they didn't announce the price but the XOOM 2 should be €399.

HTC Announces the Sensation XL Smartphone, Hitting Vodafone UK

HTC has just announced their latest gargantuan smartphone, the Sensation XL. The display is a 4.7-inch Super LCD display with an upsetting 480 x 800 resolution. The rest of the specs are good though: a single-core 1.5GHz CPU, an 8MP camera with only 720p video recording, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, 768MB of RAM, 16GB of storage (only 12.6GB available), Beats Audio, an aluminum 9.9mm thin body, and Android with the Sense UI. This one's not coming to the US though so you're going to have to get your Android cure elsewhere. This will be hitting the market this November and Vodafone UK will deliver it in the UK.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Duo Superphone Specs Leak; XPERIA Pro Delayed Until September

There are new details about two upcoming Sony Ericsson Android smartphones. The first one is above which is the XPERIA Duo. This one is said to feature a 1.4GHz dual-core CPU, 1.5GB of RAM, a 4.5-inch qHD display, a 12MP camera, a front-facing camera, and Android 2.3. This one is definitely not a slacker and it's actually one of the best smartphones that have been announced thus far - even topping the Galaxy S II and the HTC Sensation. This one's reportedly on pace for September so you might want to wait around for it.

That's not all though. Remember the XPERIA Pro that was announced a few weeks ago? Well, the handset is said to be hitting the UK in late September. According to the company it should be priced at £349.99 unlocked which is about $558 USD. It's a bit delayed and it's a bit expensive as well.

BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 To Come In White, Says Amazon UK

If you love your devices in white then you might want to know that Amazon UK has just confirmed that RIM's upcoming BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 will be available in white. Apparently though, the launch for that region might not be available until October 15th which is later than expected. In the meantime, check it out on Amazon UK.

New LG Handset Leaks With Two Displays, US Exclusive?

Coming from Pocket-Lint is the interesting device from LG that you see above. This handset just surfaced at an event in the UK and apparently it'll be a US exclusive. A confirmed name for this one is unknown right now but it could be the LG Q, Optimus Slider, Maxx Q, or even the Flip II. This smartphone features a touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a secondary display in a unique position.

Specs are unknown right now but the secondary display that's in the middle of the hardware keyboard has eight shortcuts to Android apps. Right now the customization of the secondary display is still unknown. It seems like an interesting concept though.

Huawei Set To Launch a "Gingerbread" Smartphone Soon, Upgradeable To "Ice Cream Sandwich"?

Apparently, Huawei is going to be releasing a "high-end" smartphone in the future - at least in the UK. The smartphone kind of looks like a Google Nexus S since it's supposedly the one pictured above. This smartphone is said to feature a 3.7-inch WVGA display, a 1GHz CPU, a 5MP camera, a front-facing camera, and Android "Gingerbread" upgradeable to "Ice Cream Sandwich". The handset is said to be available in the second half of this year for £250 to £400.

HTC ChaCha and Salsa Pop Up On Amazon UK, Shipping June 26

If you live in the UK then you might want to head over the Amazon if you're obsessed with Facebook. HTC's two Facebook phones, the ChaCha and the Salsa have just popped up online for £250 ($409 USD) and £320 ($524 USD), respectively. The ChaCha only has a 2.6-inch display along with a QWERTY keyboard while the Salsa has a 3.4-inch display that you'll have to type on. Sadly, they're both powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm CPU which could be too slow for you. Check them out here and here, respectively, now if you want to, but they'll be delivered on June 26th.

Amazon UK Lists the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Ultraportable At £1,292

I already knew it'd be expensive but this is just pushing it. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 ultra-thin notebook has just been spotted on Amazon UK where it's chilling at £1,292.52, which is right around $2,120 USD. It definitely isn't cheap. If you still have your heart set on this notebook then you might want to know that it features a 13.3-inch display, an Intel Core i5-2520M 2.5GHz CPU, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 320GB HDD.

Rounding out the specs it also has a backlit keyboard, 8 hours of battery life, and Windows 7 Professional. Sadly, it looks like the base model only features integrated Intel HD graphics, which is a let down considering the price - not surprising considering how thin it is. If you're into powerful smartphones then listen up. The Samsung Galaxy S II which is now packing a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU will be available in the UK starting on May 1st. You can bet that the prices will be extremely expensive if you're looking to get this one unlocked because it's one of the best that you'll find out there. Us North Americans will likely have to wait a bit longer - especially Canadians.

Acer Iconia Tab A100 Hits Amazon UK For £300, Available April 20th

Amazon UK has listed a new tablet on their own website. It's the 7-inch Acer Iconia A100 tablet that runs Android "Honeycomb" and it looks like it'll be available on April 20th for £300 ($483 USD) which is a pretty good price. The A100 features a dual-core Tegra 2 chipset, 8GB of internal storage, WiFi / Bluetooth support, and dual cameras so it's actually a capable tablet. Check it out on Amazon UK.

Apple iPad 2 To Launch In 25 Countries This Friday; Including Canada, Starting At $519

There may not have been enough iPad 2's for the US but that's not stopping the international launch. Apple has just announced that the iPad 2 is launching in 25 more countries this Friday, March 25th and that includes: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

Update: Mobile Syrup has mentioned that the iPad 2 prices in Canada will actually be $20 more than the US. On the Apple website the 16GB iPad 2 is listed at $519.

Windows 7 Powered Asus EP121 Tablet Set For April 10th Release Date

If you're actually one of the people who want to run Windows 7 Home Premium on a tablet then Asus might have the one for you. The expensive Eee Slate EP121 tablet is scheduled for an April 10th release in the UK with Amazon listing the tablet for a whopping £999.99 ($1,627 USD). If you want to pay that extreme price tag then you'll be getting a 12.1-inch display (1,280 x 800 resolution), an Intel Core i5-470UM CPU, a 64GB SSD, Intel HD graphics, Bluetooth support, a 2MP webcam, and a desktop OS. Definitely sounds powerful.

Orange has just released their latest handset in the UK. The carrier has just released the Optimus Me (P350) handset. This one features a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, WiFi / Bluetooth support, 3G, aGPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 3.2MP camera, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.2. Of course, this one's available for free on a bunch of different contracts. Whenever you're ready head over to Orange. Don't forget that this will also be hitting T-Mobile UK as well.

Samsung Announces the Galaxy Pro, Candybar QWERTY Handset; Hitting 3 UK

Samsung has just unveiled a new handset today in Singapore. What you see above is a candybar QWERTY handset which is going to be launching as the Samsung Galaxy Pro. It's going to be running Android 2.2 with, of course, the Touchwiz UI which looks like it'll work. Specs for this one include a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, a 3MP camera, WiFi support, an 800MHz CPU, and Social Hub Premium. The first carrier to announce that they're launching this handset is 3 UK. Launch and price details are still unknown.

HTC Incredible S Now Up For Pre-Orders On O2 and Vodafone UK

You can choose between O2 and Vodafone and you can get it for free on a contract if you choose the right one. The website also mentions that it'll be shipping on March 3rd if you order one now. O2 has tweeted something great. They have just mentioned that they're going to be launching the white XPERIA Play exclusively in the UK which is great for them. The gaming Android handheld actually looks pretty darn sexy. Price and release date is still unknown right now but at least we have the pictures!

Update: According to Phone Arena, it looks like O2 UK plans to launch this gaming handheld on April 1st. Hopefully, it's not a joke.

32 and 37-Inch Panasonic 3D LED TVs Hitting the UK This May

Panasonic has just announced something pretty good for the UK if you're into the whole 3D hype. The company has announced that they're going to be releasing the 32-inch (TX-L32DT30) and 37-inch (TX-L37DT30) 3D LED TVs in May of this year. Both of these TVs are packing IPS displays so you'll be able to watch them at pretty much any viewing angle you want to. Both of the TVs also come with Viera Connect Internet access as well as social networking apps and WiFi / DLNA support. Of course, they all pack their own share of HDMI ports, three USB ports, and even a VGA. Price hasn't been mentioned yet.

The company also plans to launch their new VT30 3D plasma TVs in 42, 50, 55, and 65-inch models. They also plan to launch a whole bunch of new LCD HDTVs as well.

Acer's 10-Inch Iconia A500 Tablet Prototype Gets Demoed Briefly On Video

Acer showed off a fairly new tablet at MWC that we've heard about before. This is Acer's 10.1-inch tablet which will be called the Iconia A500 when it hits the market later this year. This one's expected to be running Android "Honeycomb" when it launches but the prototype at the event was running just version 2.2 "Froyo". Inside of this tablet you'll find a dual-core Tegra 2 chipset so you know that it'll definitely be powerful enough to run some games on. The full spec sheet wasn't able to be confirmed but it has dual-cameras of course. This tablet will reportedly be hitting the UK this April.
