"HP Touchpad" Trademark Filed By HP, "HP Touchpad" Trademark Filed By HP, Their Magic Trackpad?

Labels: , , ,

HP has just filed for a new trademark, "HP Touchpad". Right now we have no clue what it is, but as usual everyone's hoping that it's for their webOS tablet. It sounds to me like it could be, well, a touchpad so maybe HP is planning to go head-to-head against Apple's Magic Trackpad. Sounds like a dumb thing to do because I'd rather use a mouse. Maybe this will be getting unveiled at their February 9th event as well; if it's a touchpad, then I hope it's not.

BlackBerry Website Hints That Alltel May Be Getting the Style 9670 Too

Labels: , , , ,

It looks like another carrier in the US may be planning to launch the BlackBerry Style 9670 in the future. If you take a look at the image above taken from BlackBerry's site you'll see that you're actually able to download the software for said handset. Nothing else is signalling the launch of this device, but I have a feeling that it'll eventually hit the carrier soon.

Nokia C5-03 Now Available In the UK For £189 Unlocked

Labels: , ,

Nokia has just released their latest S60 5th Edition device in the UK and it's the C5-03. This one, unfortunately, features a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen display so it might not respond the way you want it to. Thankfully, it's going for just £189 ($303 USD) so if you can put up with the display - and the mediocre OS - then it's a pretty good phone for the price. Specs for this one include: a 5MP camera, WiFi b/g / Bluetooth 2.0 support, a microSD card slot (2GB card included), a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 600MHz CPU, Stereo FM radio, and aGPS.

"Sirocco" Gets Announced As the Asus Eee PC 1015PW, Another Boring Netbook

Labels: , , , , , , ,

As expected, Asus announced yet another Eee PC netbook today and it's the 1015PW. Asus hyped up the launch for this one a bit too much, mentioning that this would make waves in the industry but all it made was a ripple in the water. The best part about this netbook is the textured paint job on the lid, which is likely what the company was talking about because it's quite unique. This netbook will be available in gold, pink, and purple models.

On the specifications front you get: a 10.1-inch 1,024 x 600 resolution display, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB / 320GB HDD, and a dual-core Intel Atom N550 1.5GHz CPU. Price and release date is unknown right now, but I can't imagine a bunch of people picking this one up. Netbooks are just about dead at this point.

Nintendo 3DS Hitting USA On March 27 for $249.99, Europe On March 25th

Labels: , , , , ,

Nintendo held their conference this morning and they've unveiled a few good details regarding their 3DS launch. The Nintendo 3DS will be available in the US on March 27th for $249.99 - I don't know if this includes Canada as well. Also, the European release wasn't announced so that's really the only new date and price that the company mentioned. At launch, Nintendo says that 30+ games will be available including: Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Madden, and Kid Icarus. Of course, the 3DS will also have a Virtual Console so they're working on remaking classic GameBoy and GameBoy Color titles as well so Nintendo's working pretty hard. Will you picking one up on launch day?

Update: According to Kotaku, the 3DS will be available in Europe starting on March 25th. The price is unknown for them right now but it could be £249.99 (almost $400 USD) which is way more expensive than the US model. Remember that this gaming handheld will be region-locked.
