Samsung Galaxy S II Pictured In White, Hitting Europe August 15th

Labels: , , , , ,

Like your devices in white? Well, today the white Samsung Galaxy S II has leaked and it's reportedly headed to Europe on August 15th. Specs for this one remain beastly so there's no new surprises in this one. I know a lot of folks in the US are still waiting for this one but I doubt that white model will launch alongside the black one.

Leaked Photos Point To 10-Inch HTC Tablet and Holiday, Rider, Glacier Smartphones

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

PocketNow got a hold of new photos regarding upcoming HTC devices and there's 4 of them. The first device is pictured above which is a tablet being called the "Puccini", while the other three are below and should be looking quite familiar. First of all, the tablet above is said to be sporting a 10-inch display so it should be sporting Android 3.0 "Honeycomb" along with 4G connectivity - possibly HSPA+ but they're saying it'll be for AT&T's future LTE network.

Moving along we have the smartphones: Holiday, Rider, and Glacier. The Holiday's specs are unknown right now but it looks like very other HTC phone that has been announced / released. To me, this looks like the Inspire 4G but that can't be it since they already released that smartphone a few months ago. This one sports a front-facing camera and could have 4G support.

Next up is the Rider which is reportedly the EVO 3D for carriers overseas - without the ugly circle around the four capacitive buttons. This one should feature a 4.3-inch qHD 3D display, 1GB of RAM, a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, and 1080p Full HD video recording. This one's reportedly headed to Korea via KT.

Last, but not least, there's the HTC Glacier which is reportedly the myTouch 4G scheduled for a launch in Europe. In case you forgot, this one features a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 1GHz CPU, 768MB of RAM, and a 5MP camera.

7-Inch HTC Flyer Hitting Europe On May 9th

Labels: , , , , , , ,

The title really says it all. In February, we heard that HTC planned to release their 7-inch Flyer tablet globally sometime in Q2 and at their event today they announced that Europe will be getting it on May 9th. Not much left to tell you but before you pick one up you should remember that HTC has "Honeycomb" tablets in the works. Just saying.

HTC Sensation Officially Announced; Packs 4.3-Inch qHD, Dual-Core 1.2GHz, and Gingerbread With Sense 3.0

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , ,

HTC has made their new flagship phone official today and I was totally wrong about this being a Nexus device. The "Pyramid" has been officially announced as the HTC Sensation and after Vodafone and Qualcomm gave us hints as to what the smartphone would offer we now know everything. The Sensation packs a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 resolution) Gorilla Glass (Super LCD) display, a dual-core Qualcomm MSM 8260 1.2GHz CPU, 1GB of internal storage, an 8MP AF camera with a dual-LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording, a front-facing camera, a microSD card slot (8GB in the box), 768MB of ROM, an aluminum unibody, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, DLNA, a 1,520mAh battery, an HDMI output, and Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" with the Sense 3.0 UI.

Yeah, that's quite the spec sheet and it's sounding like one of the best smartphones on the market right now. This smartphone will be hitting the UK, Germany, and other European markets in mid-May and, of course, Vodafone will be getting a short exclusive for the device. The company also announced the 4G model which will have HSPA+ and will hit T-Mobile USA later this Summer. If you're interested then there's a promo video below.

Four Android Tablets Get Priced For Europe; Acer A100, Transformer, XOOM, and Optimus Pad

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

A bunch of upcoming tablets for Europe has just been priced. It's everything you see above so that includes the €349 Acer Iconia A100, €399 Asus Eee Pad, €699 Motorola XOOM, and €849 LG Optimus Pad. It's actually pretty surprising that the A100 will be so inexpensive since it's running Android "Honeycomb" which means that the price could actually be right. The one that surprised me the most is that the 3D-capable Optimus Pad will cost so much money so I doubt that'll be flying off of the shelves. The unknown Eee Pad could actually be the Transformer so that's a decent price for a Tegra 2 tablet.

Of course, what we're missing here is the release dates which are still unknown right now. Some of these were supposed to be available in March but that's looking doubtful. Expect a Q2 launch; yes, I'm being vague.

This handset will actually be available in late March in Germany followed by other regions in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Who knows when it'll hit North America. The price hasn't been announced yet but it should be quite cheap.

Motorola XOOM Headed To Europe In Q2; WiFi-Only and Silver Models Now Official As Well

Labels: , , , , , ,

The title really says it all. The Motorola XOOM was already made official at CES so they didn't need to announce the spec sheet. Motorola briefly stated that the XOOM will be hitting Europe sometime in Q2 and they even made their WiFi-only along with the silver model official. It might not sound exciting but it is; trust me. This tablet is going to be sweet!

Motorola Pro Gets Announced For Europe, the Android Based BlackBerry

Labels: , , , , ,

At MWC, Motorola announced a new handset for Europe but people in America know it as the DROID Pro. The European model will be called the Motorola Pro and it features pretty much the same spec sheet so it features a 3.1-inch touchscreen display, a QWERTY keyboard, a 1GHz CPU, 2GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, WiFi / Bluetooth support, a 5MP AF camera with a dual-LED flash, and Android 2.2 with the Blur UI. This is the BlackBerry of Android phones in case that's what you've been looking for. It's pretty awesome.

Motorola Gleam Flip Phone Will Be Introduced At MWC

Labels: , , , ,

Motorola will probably be announced some high-end Android phones at MWC in a few days but it looks like they still have some feature phones in the pipe. The one you see above is reportedly the Motorola Gleam which is expected to be unveiled at the event. This flip phone is said to sport a 2.-inch QVGA display, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 2MP camera. This should be available in Europe in the first half of this year and it should have a cheap price tag as well.

White Google Nexus S Leaks, Likely Destined For Europe

Labels: , , , ,

BestBoyz has just got a picture of Google's latest. Well, not really. It's just the Samsung-made Google Nexus S with a white back. Unlike the white iPhone 4 that still has to the market, this one only has a white back and stays with the traiditional black front. We don't know if the US will get this one but it should be hitting certain places of Europe.

Nintendo 3DS Hitting USA On March 27 for $249.99, Europe On March 25th

Labels: , , , , ,

Nintendo held their conference this morning and they've unveiled a few good details regarding their 3DS launch. The Nintendo 3DS will be available in the US on March 27th for $249.99 - I don't know if this includes Canada as well. Also, the European release wasn't announced so that's really the only new date and price that the company mentioned. At launch, Nintendo says that 30+ games will be available including: Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Madden, and Kid Icarus. Of course, the 3DS will also have a Virtual Console so they're working on remaking classic GameBoy and GameBoy Color titles as well so Nintendo's working pretty hard. Will you picking one up on launch day?

Update: According to Kotaku, the 3DS will be available in Europe starting on March 25th. The price is unknown for them right now but it could be £249.99 (almost $400 USD) which is way more expensive than the US model. Remember that this gaming handheld will be region-locked.
