LG Unveil the P430 and P530 Ultraportable Notebooks With Thin Bezels

We already know that LG's awesome Shuriken displays will be hitting some notebooks in the future and they've unveiled their own notebook that will be using it. They've introduced the 14-inch P430 and 15.6-inch P530 notebooks which sports a thin bezel. These can be classified as ultraportable notebooks because they're definitely thin-and-light at 1.94kg and 2.2kg, respectively.

Inside these notebooks you'll find that it's quite powerful as well. You'll be cruising away with an Intel Core i7 CPU along with a Nvidia GeForce GT 520M GPU and Windows 7. The P430 will be available in Asia, Europe, South America, and the Middle East in May while the P530 will be available in June.

Samsung Announces the Rugged Series 6 Notebook With Core i7 CPU

Samsung has just announced their latest notebook and it's the new Series 6 which is quite rugged. It has been tested extensively and reached the MIL-STD-810G standard to withstand quite a bit of shock. The notebook is built out of Duracase ProMG magnesium which can withstand 1 ton of pressure and it packs a spill-resistant keyboard and anti-shock HDD tech. Internals include: a Core i7 CPU, a Nvidia GPU, USB 3.0 ports, an integrated webcam, and an anti-reflective LCD display.

24-Inch Acer Aspire Z5761 All In One PC Packs Intel Core i5 / i7 CPUs and Nvidia GPUs

Acer has just announced their latest and greatest all-in-one PC, the Aspire Z5761. This one's fairly capable of running Windows 7. Beneath the 24-inch touchscreen display (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) you'll find an Intel Core i5 / i7 CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, Nvidia GPU options, up to 1.5TB of HDD storage, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR / WiFi b/g/n support, a 2MP webcam, hybrid analog / digital TV tuners, and even a Blu-ray reader / DVD burner.

It's quite a powerhouse so this could be a desktop replacement if you need it. It also has eight USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port, and a memory card reader. This will be available in early May (next month) starting at £799 ($1,300 USD).

15.6-Inch Gigabyte P2532 Is the World's Thinnest Notebook With 2nd-Gen Core i7

Gigabyte has just unveiled the P2532 which you actually might be interested in. This notebook is said to be the world's thinnest notebook sporting a second-gen Intel Core i7 CPU. Beneath the 15.6-inch display (Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 resolution) you'll find a GeForce GT550M GPU, Optimus tech, a 500GB HDD, a DVD burner, two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, and Windows 7. The notebook also has interchangeable lids if you just can't stick to one colour. This is definitely a powerful laptop but who knows when it will go on sale and for how much. European E-Tailer Details the Sony Vaio SA and SB Notebooks A Bit Early

Looks like a European e-tailer has just let Sony's latest notebooks slip. It's going to reportedly be the Vaio SA and SB. They're both sporting 13.3-inch displays along with Intel's new "Sandy Bridge" Core 2011 CPUs. The former will be packing Intel's new Core i7-2620M CPU, while the latter will have the new Core i5 CPU as a standard. There's a model, the SA1X9E/XI, which will actually feature a 1,600 x 900 resolution, the aforementioned CPU, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 128GB SSD, and AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics. According to the e-tailer, you'll be able to get this one for £1,571 (almost $2,000 USD). The release dates are still unknown right now but it could be available within the next month or so.

15.6-Inch Samsung RC512 and RV511 Notebooks Get Unveiled At CES

Samsung has just revealed two new notebooks at their CES press conference. The first one is pictured above and it's the 15-inch RC512. This notebook features the new Intel Core i7-2630M CPU, 6GB of DDR3 RAM, discrete Nvidia GeForce 430 graphics, a Blu-ray drive, and a 750GB HDD. This notebook will reportedly be available in a few weeks for $1,150, which actually doesn't seem that bad. The other notebook is the 15.6-inch RV511 which is pictured below; this features a Core i3-380M CPU, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB HDD. We don't know when or for how much this will be available but we should know soon.

MSI Updates Sixteen Of Their Laptops, Make Way For Intel Core 2011 CPUs

Every manufacturer should be unveiling their whole new line-up of notebooks with Intel's new Core 2011 CPUs at CES by the end of this week and MSI is following up on Lenovo's onslaught. The company has just updated sixteen of their current notebooks to make room for the new CPUs along with some graphical upgrades as well. The larger G Series notebooks (17.3-inch GT780 and 15.6-inch GT680) will feature the new quad-core Core i7 CPU along with Nvidia GeForce GTX 400 / 500 graphics and dual SSDs. The GT680 will be available later this month for $1,499 while the GT780 will be available in Q2 of this year.

The F Series will also have room for Core i7 CPUs but the new base model of the 14-inch FX420 notebook has a Core i5 CPU and will launch at a $699 price point which seems like it's worth it at this point. Next up is their C Series of notebooks which is going for a whopping eight hours of battery life so you can expect Core i3 CPUs in there because they'll need to save all the power they can. Price and release dates for a bunch of these notebooks are unknown right now but that's typical for MSI.

Lenovo Updates IdeaPad Z Series With New Intel Core 2011 CPUs

Lenovo has pretty much updated their whole notebook line-up and this time it's their IdeaPad Z Series which includes the 13.3-inch Z370, 14-inch Z470, and the 15.6-inch Z570. These notebooks, of course, will now be sporting new Intel Core 2011 CPUs (i3 / i5 / i7 options), up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to a 1TB HDD, DVD / Blu-ray drives, optional Bluetooth support, WiFi b/g/n, an HDMI output, USB 2.0 ports, audio jacks, an eSATA, and Windows 7. The smallest model features Nvidia's GeForce 410M GPU, while the larger two pack the more powerful GeForce 525M GPU. These notebooks will be available in the next few months for an undisclosed price.

Intel's upcoming Sandy Bridge CPUs have just started leaking out and it has just been spotted on the spec sheet of an HP dv7 notebook. This new quad-core Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU has a clock speed of 2GHz and will be one of the most powerful mobile CPUs to date (if not the fastest). Intel and HP should be making this one official at CES 2011 in early January. Check it out on HP.

Dell XPS 14, 15, and 17 Introduced; Sporting Core i5 / i7 Options, Optimus, and an HD Webcam

Dell has just announced a refresh in their XPS notebook line-up. These new notebooks are available in 14, 15.6, and 17-inch models and they're all sporting some pretty multimedia-focused specs. They feature Intel Core i5 / i7 CPU options, Nvidia GeForce 400M GPU, Optimus technology, an HD webcam, and JBL speakers. The entry level models will cost you $899, $849, and $949, respectively, and they're sporting an Intel Core i5-460M CPU, Nvidia 420M graphics, a 500GB HDD, 4GB of RAM, and Intel's WiDi technology which seems like a pretty good deal actually. Of course, they're highly customizable so you should be able to pack everything you really want inside (Blu-ray).

Asus NX90Jq Notebook Available Online For $2,500, Packing Dual-Touchpads

If you're interested in the Asus NX90Jq notebook then you better have quite a bit of money lying around. This notebook - in case you somehow forgot - was being showcased at CES earlier this year and it sports an 18.4-inch display, dual-touchpads, B&O ICEpower speakers, an Intel Core i7 CPU, Nvidia GeForce GT 334M graphics, and up to 1,280GB of HDD storage. This Bang & Olufsen designed notebook is now available online (here) for right around $2,500. I hope you have the money.

Dell Zino HD 410 To Get Updated With AMD Quad-Core CPU Soon, Studio XPS 9100 Desktop With Intel Core i7 Six-Core CPU

The first Dell product looks like it could be getting an update in the near future thanks to the latest leak (on Dell Support here). Apparently, the small Zino HD (410) desktop could be outfitted with AMD Phenom II quad-core CPU options along with ATI Radeon HD 4250 / Radeon HD 5450 graphics options, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, Blu-ray support, and WiFi 802.11n. We'll see when Dell actually decides to release this new model.

Dell has just quietly updated their Studio XPS 9100 desktop PC. This desktop can now take a six-core Intel Core i7-980X 3.33GHz CPU, an ATI Radeon HD 5970 GPU, and up to 24GB of DDR3 RAM if you're interested in burning a hole in your wallet. Apple's Next Mac Pro Desktop To Have USB 3.0 and Firewire 1600 or 3200 Support?

There's a rumour going around that Apple will be updating their Mac Pro desktop at the end of this Summer. The new Mac Pro will have a brand new CPU inside of it, of course, but it'll also come equipped with USB 3.0 support along with FireWire 1600 or 3200. This update will be just in time for back-to-school sales, so you can expect an announcement in the next month or two.

Update: According to Slash Gear, the iMac will be updated as well. This update will be taking place about a month later than the Mac Pro's and neither refresh will have Light Peak technology or possible Blu-ray drives. You can also expect the Mac Pro to sport 6-core Intel Core i7 CPUs.

Velocity Micro Release T30 Italia Thin-and-Light Notebook and Vector Campus Edition Desktop PC

Velocity Micro has decided to announce and release two new back to school PCs. First up is the one you see above which is the 13.3-inch T30 Italia which is a thin-and-light notebook. Inside you'll find a 1.3GHz Intel Pentium CPU, 3GB of RAM, a 120GB HDD, WiFi, a fingerprint scanner, an HDMI output, an optional external DVD burner, and Windows 7. You get all of that for a whopping $999 (here), which is definitely overpriced.

Velocity Micro didn't stop there though, they also have a new Vector Campus Edition desktop PC. Inside of this desktop you'll find Intel Core i5 2.66GHz / Core i7 2.8GHz CPU options, 4GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce GT 220 graphics (optional GTX 260 GPU), a 1TB HDD, and Windows 7. The base model for the desktop PC is $899 but you'll spend more than that if you want to upgrade the RAM, include a second 1TB HDD, a Blu-ray reader, and a TV tuner. Check it out here.

Gateway Unveils Four New Notebooks In Their NS Series

Four new notebooks as a part of Gateway's new NS Series has just been unveiled. The first one we'll talk about is the 11.6-inch NS10 notebook which features Intel Core i3 / i5 CPU options along with integrated Intel HD graphics. The larger three models are better, there's the 13.3-inch NS30, 14-inch NS41, and the 15.6-inch NS51. All three of these notebooks pack Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 CPU options, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, Nvidia GeForce 310M graphics, an LED-backlit display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, and up to a 640GB HDD / 160GB SSD. Of course, there are essentials like WiFi / 3G / Bluetooth 3.0 support, a multi-card reader, an optical drive, a multitouch trackpad, up to an 8-hour battery life, and the choice of OS is Windows 7 Home Professional (32 or 64-bit). All of these notebooks will be available in the next week or so since it's pegged for a mid-July launch.

Sony Updates 13-Inch Vaio Z Notebook With a Core i7 CPU and Full HD Display!

Sony has decided to update their Vaio Z notebook a little bit. You can now get said notebook with an Intel Core i7 CPU if you'd like. They've also jammed a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) display on there and it's free from now until July 1st. This is definitely a pretty sweet deal seeing how this could be the first 13-inch notebook out there with a Full HD display. If I had $2,000 just lying around, I would definitely bite. HP Updates Majority Of Their Desktop PCs, Introduce the New 200xt All In One

A new all in one PC from HP has just been introduced and it's the 200xt. This is like their 200t all in one PC but it's sporting this year's Intel Core CPUs so that's definitely a welcomed upgrade. This is just about the only new PC they released today but they did update almost their whole desktop line-up. They've updated their Pavilion and Slimline Series to bring AMD Sempron / Phenom / Core i5 CPU options, while the Pavilion Elite has been upgraded for Core i7 options. Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14 Notebook Now Available With Core i7 Option

Okay, so you've held out until now on a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14 because it doesn't have the model you're looking for. Well, Lenovo has decided to update said notebook so that you can now get that Core i7-620M 2.66GHz that you've been waiting for. Check it out here if you want to shell out the extra $350. The larger Edge 15 notebook should be getting an upgrade as well and it should be sooner rather than later.

Lenovo Now Selling Their 11.6-Inch IdeaPad U160 Notebook For $1,049 With Core i5 / i7 Options

Lenovo is now offering their IdeaPad U160 notebook for just over $1,000. This notebook is actually pretty small but packs Core i5 / i7 CPU options, which is pretty good. The lower-end $1,049 model will get you an 11.6-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Core i5-520UM 1.06GHz CPU, integrated Intel GMA HM55 graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB HDD, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, WiFi b/g, a 6-cell battery, a multitouch trackpad, and Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit).

The slightly higher-end model will run you $1,149 and it packs a Core i7-640UM 1.2GHz CPU along with a 500GB HDD and Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit). Check it out on their official site here.

Alienware M11x Gaming Notebook Updated With Core i3 / i5 / i7 Options and Nvidia's Optimus

Well, people in Malaysia can now get the updated Alienware M11x notebook. This iteration comes complete with Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 CPU options along with Nvidia's Optimus technology. They're starting at RM 3,699 ($1,110 USD) right now (here), but maybe the US site will get it tomorrow - seeing how it's already Tuesday, June 8th in Malaysia already. We'll have to wait and see.

Update: Engadget has just updated their post and they've mentioned that the US has got the upgrade as well. You can now get this notebook with some better CPU options. For $949 you can get this notebook with a Core i5-520UM.
