Bang & Olufsen Shows Off Their $5,500 32-Inch BeoVision 10-32 TV

Labels: ,

Bang & Olufsen has just unveiled their latest TV and this one's one of their cheapest to date. Sadly, it'll still cost you a gut-wrenching €4,000 (or $5,500 USD). Dubbed the BeoVision 10-32, this TV sports a 32-inch LED edge-lit display, a DVB-HD module, and two built-in speakers that you should blast the audio. I hope you've saved enough money for it at this point.

Labels: , , , , ,

Asus is just about to launch a few notebooks in the US and the first one is the monstrous 18.4-inch NX90J notebook. This one will be available for $999 and will feature a 15-inch display, an Intel Core i5 CPU, GeForce GT425 graphics, and some Bang & Olufsen inspiration. Last, but not least, there's the Asus ROG G73Jw which is a gaming notebook. This will be available later this month for $1,799.

Asus Show Off Bang & Olufsen Infused Notebooks Again; Eee Keyboard PC Delayed Until April

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

Asus looks like they've shown off their Bang & Olufsen notebooks again. The one above is the N73, but they've also unveiled the N43 and the N63 (below). The N73 is said to feature USB 3.0 ports, Intel Core ix Series CPU options, and Bang & Olufsen ICEpower audio support. Asus didn't stop there though, since they're also demoing their VG236H and PG276H Full HD 3D displays. Those haven't been pictured right now and the details on them are still being kept on the down-low. Before CeBIT ends we should know more about them.

And yes, the Eee Keyboard PC from Asus looks like it's getting delayed again. The new target date is said to be April... These delays remind me of Blizzard and StarCraft II.

Asus Unveil Eee PC 1008P Netbook and Concept (Bang & Olufsen Designed) NX90Jq Notebook

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

Asus is having a party unveiling netbooks and notebooks at CES this year. This one (above) is the Eee PC 1008P, which will be available in [coffee] brown and [hot] pink. This netbook will be outed with a 10.1-inch display, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 250GB HDD, an Intel Atom 1.66GHz N450 CPU, WiFi n / Bluetooth 2.1 support, an integrated 1.3MP webcam, gigabit Ethernet, a 3-cell battery, and Windows 7 Home Premium. The whole netbook costs 2.5 pounds. Unfortunately, the price and release date hasn't been mentioned yet.

Asus has unveiled another notebook (the NX90Jq), which is pretty unique. This one has reportedly been designed by Bang & Olufsen and can be a desktop replacement for you. This concept laptop features dual touchpads and has an aluminum body as you can see.

It's sporting an 18.4-inch display, an Intel Core i7 CPU, Nvidia GeForce GT 334M graphics, up to 1,280GB of internal storage (via dual-drives), a Blu-ray drive, and USB 3.0 ports (yes, 3.0). The concept price is pegged at $2,500 USD, which I guess isn't too bad.

Update: Engadget has already got their hands on this notebook, so I guess it's more of a prototype than a concept.

Bang & Olufsen Make the 40-Inch BeoVision 10 LCD HDTV Official and Expensive

Labels: ,

You may not remember the Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 10 but it looks like it has just been made official. This LCD HDTV has a 40-inch display and features an aluminum body. Unfortunately, it costs £43,495 ($71,323 USD) overseas and I'm sure that's enough to make a couple of people to cry - it's making me tear up as I type.

Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 4 103-Inch Plasma Hits America For $93,050

Labels: , ,

That's right folks. For those of you willing to spend a year's salary on a TV, this is the one you've been waiting for. On a side note, I'm definitely sure my mom doesn't make this kind of money in 1.5 years. Anyways, the BeoVision 4 (talked about it a while back) has just hit American soil for a retail price of $93,050 on a wall mount and $111,805 on a "motorized" floor stand. The price is already high enough, but it's actually cheaper than when Bang & Olufsen launched it in Europe, for $136,220 USD. So, you Americans get it for around $43,000 USD cheaper - just in case you couldn't do the math yourself. This TV is a 103-inch plasma HDTV and it also comes in a couple of colours: black, silver, red, blue, and dark grey. Engadget points out that "there is a three to four month lead time for each set" - but I have no clue what that means. Anyways, go out and grab one if you like - if you have money.

Verizon Launches the Samsung Trance Today

Labels: , , ,

Don't forget that the Samsung Trance is now available from Verizon. The Trance costs $49.99 USD after a $50 mail-in rebate on a 2-year contract. It's a low-range phone (according to me), so don't expect too much out of it. The Trance has: a 2.1-inch display with a 220 x 176 resolution, a 1.3MP camera, 1GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth, a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, and Back & Olufsen ICEpower sound technology. It's fairly underwhelming, so it's up to you whether you want to hang onto this phone for 2 years.

The Samsung U490 Trance is in my low-level handset category. It has a 2.1-inch display with a 220 x 176 resolution, a 1.3MP camera, 1GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth, a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, and it will have Bang & Olufsen ICEpower sound technology. The Trance will be available through Verizon Wireless on April 24 for $49.99 (after $50 mail-in rebate) on a 2-year contract, $119.99 (after $50 mail-in rebate) on a 1-year contract, and $219.99 USD for no-contract.

Bang & Olufsen's 103-Inch Plasma TV

Labels: , , , ,

If you're a couple thousand dollars short of purchasing Sharp's 108-inch TV, then you can always opt for something just a little bit smaller and a little bit less pricey. Sharp's 108-inch TV is retailing for £100,000 ($143,000 USD); meanwhile, Bang & Olufsen's new 103-inch BeoVision 4-103 plasma TV is retailing for €100,000 ($136,220 USD) this July. It is a small price to pay to complete your ultimate entertainment system. For this plasma TV they used the exact same panel as Panasonic's 103-inch monster which was released a couple of years ago. But, B & O did tune it up a little bit. They included: an automatic rising stand, the BeoSystem 3 with VisionClear technology and, of course, the Bang & Olufsen logo to top it all off. It's definitely out of my price range.

Bang & Olufsen's BeoVision 8 LCD HDTV

Labels: , , ,

Since I'm fairly new to this technology and blogging world I've actually never heard of this Bang & Olufsen company before (until the Samsung M7600 came out). Anyways, looks like they're trying to make a move in the TV industry with their BeoVision 8. The 40-inch LCD HDTV has a fair 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, "500 nits of brightness", 3,000:1 contrast ratio, 6ms response time, a digital TV tuner, and they even included their nifty audio into their also nifty internal speakers. There is no word on the price, but the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) is said to be "attractive" whatever that means. More details on the price when it's released.
