Apparently, Apple is planning to launch a Radio app that will unlock the hidden power of this FM tuner. It's just a rumour right now, but ehh.

Plastic Logic Not Launching Coloured E-Book Reader In Spring 2010 -- Probably Later

Labels: , ,

Remember that coloured e-book reader that's supposed to get launched in Spring 2010? Well, the makers of the said e-book reader, Plastic Logic, has just mentioned that they are working on a coloured e-book reader, but whoever mentioned the Spring 2010 launch date was "misinformed." Looks like we'll probably have to wait a bit longer, possibly Summer 2010 - or even Winter 2009 / 2010... but I doubt that.

Next-Gen Nintendo DS To Rock Nvidia's Tegra II?

Labels: , , , ,

Well, this is definitely unexpected. It looks like the latest rumour is stating that the next Nintendo DS will sport a Nvidia Tegra chipset inside. The next-gen DS is expected to launch in late 2010, but if that's true then we could see the Tegra II inside the next DS. A couple of sources are backing up this rumour, so it could very well be true - and it would be pretty awesome even if I'm not a Nintendo fan.

Samsung Pixon12 M8910 and A886 Both Pass the FCC

Labels: , , , ,

It looks like two Samsung handsets have just been spotted at the FCC, the Pixon12 M8910 and the A886. The M8910 will likely be the more interesting handset of the two, since it sports a 12MP camera and a 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display - but it looks like it doesn't have US 3G support which is a huge let down. Check out the M8910 at the FCC here and the Samsung SGH-A886 at the FCC here.

AT&T Launching Nokia's Booklet 3G For $299 On October 22nd At Best Buy

Labels: , , , ,

Nokia has just announced that their netbook, the Booklet 3G, will be launching on October 22nd for $299.99 on a 2-year contract for as low as $60 USD monthly. You'll also be able to get it contract-free for $599.99. This netbook is definitely not on the cheap side, but we're willing to wait and see if people hop onto the wagon simply based on the looks - and maybe even brand name, which is unlikely because Nokia isn't all that popular in the States.

Anyways, this netbook will be locked on AT&T and will be sold exclusively at your local Best Buy. Below is a hands-on video by Engadget. The video below is actually a demo of the UK unit, which doesn't have integrated 3G. On a side note, this netbook will also be launching on O2's network on October 22nd as well.
