It looks like T-Mobile is starting to send out BlackBerry event handouts for what appears to be the BlackBerry 9700 aka the Bold 2. According to the rumours, this launch event will start on November 3rd in LA and will move to NYC on November 5th. Attendees may be getting free BlackBerry 9700's, but that's just a rumour.

According to the latest unconfirmed news, T-Mobile will be launching the BlackBerry Bold 2 (essentially the BB 9700 / Onyx) on November 11th. Like I said, it's unconfirmed, but we're hearing that AT&T and T-Mobile will announce both of their dates on the 21st of this month. Just wait for it...

It looks like we've just heard that the BlackBerry Bold 2 (BlackBerry 9700 / Onyx) will be officially announced on October 21st for both AT&T and T-Mobile. We're not sure when they'll be announced for Canada yet though. Anyways, optical trackpad sweetness for everyone.

Gizmodo just got their hands on a couple more photos of the upcoming BlackBerry 9700 (essentially the Bold 2). This smartphone should launch on T-Mobile and it will be their first 3G BlackBerry. As you can see, this smartphone will be rocking the optical trackpad and the rumoured specs are as follows: a 480 x 360 resolution display, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE / dual-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a 3.2MP AF camera, Bluetooth support, and BlackBerry OS 5.0.

Even though I won't be scooping one up, it's a really nice looking handset. It's also rumoured to be launching on November 11th.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700's launch is imminent and we're getting more and more news about it everyday. This video below is 7 minutes of the BlackBerry 9700 in semi-action. You can take a look at here. For us Canadians, it looks like it's headed to Rogers. Other carriers that could get it is T-Mobile (the Onyx) and AT&T in the US and Vodafone overseas.

This picture above looks to be the T-Mobile BlackBerry Onyx / Bold 9700. Thankfully, it has the optical trackpad and it'll also have 3G / WiFi support. This handset is expected to be launching in early Novemeber, but nothing's confirmed at the time. This BlackBerry is also going to reportedly have bands capable of running on AT&T, Rogers, and Vodafone.

This new video has just been found and it's the BlackBerry 9700 with its optical trackpad. The BlackBerry 9700, codenamed Onyx, will be the direct successor to the original Bold.

Here's a pre-launch list of phones that are "coming soon" to AT&T. We don't know when they will launch, but they all should be available by the end of the year. The most important four on this list are below, courtesy of Boy Genius.

• BlackBerry 9700 in charcoal
• Garmin Nuvifone G60
• HTC Tilt 2, HTC Tilt 2 without camera
• HTC Pure (believe it’s the HTC Snap)

The BlackBerry 9700 is supposedly the BlackBerry Onyx; the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone G60 is the handset that has long been delayed and no one should care about it at this point. Like it says, the HTC Pure could be the HTC Snap with its unique and special AT&T name; the HTC Tilt 2 is supposedly AT&T's HTC Touch Pro 2, so that's definitely good news. When the release dates are announced, I'll have them all for you.

The BlackBerry 9020 "Onyx" is probably one of the best BlackBerry's to-date with its 3G / WiFi / GPS support, and faster processor. We haven't seen much of the device, but this model here sports a trackball and a leather battery cover. You can check out more pictures of this device over at FeedBerry, go check it out now!

According to this photo of the long-awaited BlackBerry Onyx aka BlackBerry 9020, it's got an optical trackpad. Clearly, they've subbed out last year's trackball for optical goodness. A good move for BlackBerry, they'll probably push more optical trackpad BlackBerries in the future. The release date for this BlackBerry is still not available.

More BlackBerry news for all of the lovers out there!! According to the latest news, here are 4 more BlackBerries set to hit AT&T this year. Besides the Onyx (pictured above), there is the BlackBerry Magnum. It has: the same processor as the Bold, a touchscreen, QWERTY keypad, quad-band GSM / GRS / EDGE, GPS, and WiFi. Looks like the Magnum will be that touchscreen BlackBerry Bold that everyone has been talking about.

Up next is the new non-flip Blackberry Pearl that has 3G, 3.6Mbps HSDPA support, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a trackball, a SureType QWERTY keypad, and aGPS.

Last, but not least, it's the BlackBerry Gemini. It has: a QVGA display, a 512MHz processor, 256MB of flash memory with a microSD slot, 128MB of RAM, Bluetooth, a 2MP camera with a flash, a trackball, a QWERTY keyboard, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and also has the possibility of GPS. The sad thing is that the Gemini looks like it may not have 3G - and there's been no report of WiFi in today's news.

There are no release dates for any of these devices, but I'm pretty sure we can expect them by the end of the year.

This is the real BlackBerry Onyx and it is in competition with the Tour for the sexiest-looking BlackBerry. The specs are definitely sexier though, so we can all give it that. The BlackBerry Tour 9630 doesn't have WiFi and that is a disappointment, but this device has everything that every BlackBerry owner should love. 3G, WiFi, GPS, and a 3.2MP camera packed all into this one BlackBerry - the Onyx. It doesn't have a touchscreen, so that could also be favourable to some users, including me, for a BlackBerry. Take a look at CrackBerry's review at the link below!

This is the BlackBerry Driftwood and it is said to be part of the BlackBerry 96xx-Series. Apparently, one of the sources called this the Onyx, but the Onyx is set for an AT&T release and doesn't have UMA support. The Driftwood's specs have also surfaced a bit, so that's some good news. The Driftwood will have a 3.2MP camera with autofocus, GPS, WiFi (supposedly with UMA support), a 480 x 360 resolution, an optical trackpad, and a carbon-fiber back. The BlackBerry Driftwood is also expected to hit T-Mobile this September, so we're just looking for confirmation. It looks quite sexy, but I still favour the Niagara / Tour.

Keep in mind that these are all just codenames. They all: are a part of the 9000-series, have 3G support, have a QWERTY keyboard / keypad, have GPS and a camera - megapixels are still unknown. The Onyx (9300?) has WiFi (no UMA), a 480 x 360 resolution, and will be released through AT&T. The Driftwood will have WiFi (with UMA), but the carrier is still unknown. The Magnum will have WiFi (no UMA), a 480 x 360 resolution, and will also be released through AT&T (very similar to the Onyx). Yes, they have roughly the same spec sheets, but that Magnum could be the touchscreen Blackberry Bold - wait, maybe not. The touchscreen Blackberry Bold is said to be codenamed Pluto, so we'll just have to see when everything gets official.
