Everything that you really need to know is in the slide above. Unveiled at WPC 2010 (which started yesterday), Microsoft has just announced that a bunch of Windows 7 tablets (Slates) and Windows Phone 7 handsets are coming within the next year. This includes big names like: Asus, Dell, Fujitsu, Lenovo, Samsung, MSI, Onkyo, Panasonic, Pegatron, Sony, and Toshiba. Of course, you'll see HP on the list as well so the official HP Slate could be coming as well. These tablets are going to come in various shapes and sizes, you'll also be seeing different displays as well; some tablets will feature dockable keyboards, full touch, and even digital ink. I still can't help myself by saying that Microsoft is looking to go for quantity over quality right now, just slapping the Windows 7 OS on tablets - that won't work.

Of course, on the other side you have the list of manufacturers on board for Windows Phone 7. This includes: Dell, HTC, Garmin-Asus, LG, Sony Ericsson, and Toshiba. Surprisingly enough, HP isn't on the list so maybe theirs will be coming next year - or maybe they're sticking to WebOS now that they've bought Palm.

Another phone from Garmin-Asus has just been spotted at the FCC. We actually don't know what kind of handset this will be, except for the name E600 "PDA Phone" so we'll really just have to wait for the official word. What we do know is that it has 850 / 1900MHz 3G bands and it's likely headed to AT&T with the nuvifone branding. This could be running Android but it's unconfirmed right now. Check it out at the FCC here.

As expected, T-Mobile USA has just released the Android-based Garminfone for a whopping $199.99 on a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate. In case you're interested, this handset features a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, a 3MP AF camera, a microSD card slot, and WiFi support. Check it out on T-Mobile here.

Two new Windows Mobile handsets have just hit the FCC. Above is the Sony Ericsson Aspen (filing here) and below is the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10 (filing here). We know both of these handsets already so I might as well just go through the known specs quickly. The Aspen has a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 3.2MP camera, GPS / WiFi / Bluetooth support, and a microSD card slot; the M10 has a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 5MP camera, a microSD card slot, and a Qualcomm 600MHz CPU.

The FCC reveals that both of these handsets have WinMo 6.5.3 and are destined for Europe with their 900/2100MHz bands.

We already know that T-Mobile is set to launch the Garminfone in the Spring time. Apparently, it's looking like Spring time will be sometime next month (June). As you can see in the photo above it's running a custom Garmin UI over top of Android. It'll be available for $199 on a 2-year contract, which is overpriced. Telus is said to be getting a new phone in the next couple of weeks. It's said to be the Garmin Nuvifone and it's said to be packing a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 3MP AF camera with geotagging, WiFi support, a microSD card slot, and a non-standard 2.5mm headphone. It's looking like this will be the Nuvifone G60 which is the phone that's infamously known for being delayed a whole lot. Telus honestly could've chose a better phone than this one, but I guess they didn't. It's expected in the first week of June.

Garmin-Asus have just announced their latest phone and it's what you see above, named the Nuvifone A10. This is another Android-based handset and it features a 3.2-inch WVGA (480 x 800 resolution) multitouch display. This is expected to launch in the middle of this year in Europe and to those in the Asia-Pacific area. It also packs a 1,500 mAh battery, the same old WebKit browser, and a 5MP AF camera with automatic geotagging. Of course, it has a bunch of pre-loaded apps like Garmin Navigation maps and software along with some turn-by-turn navigation.

T-Mobile has just announced a Garmin Android phone, dubbed the Garminfone. This handset packs a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, WiFi support, a 3MP AF camera, a microSD card slot, HSPA connectivity, and vanilla Android (possibly 1.6). Thankfully, it ships with the dash mount which doubles as a charging station. This handset will be launching later this Spring, so it should be available over the next couple of weeks / months.

Garmin-Asus is infamously known for their very, very delayed Nuvifone G60 handset. They're looking to put that all behind them though since they are planning to unveil some of their upcoming smartphones at MWC this year. At MWC they'll be showing off the M10 which is essentially a Windows Mobile 6.5.3 handset that will feature a 3.5-inch resistive touchscreen display and a 5MP camera. This handset will retail for around $400.

Along with that though they're looking to launch a couple of Android handsets as well. We don't know what this handset will feature but Garmin-Asus is hoping to sell 1 million handsets this year, which might be a bit of a stretch for them. We'll see what happens.

Garmin - the same company behind the long-delayed Nuvifone G60 handset - looks like they're working on an Android-based handset in 2010. There is absolutely no information on this handset, but GSM Arena points out that we could see something about it in February 2010 which is when MWC 2010 will take place.

It looks like overpriced and long-delayed Garmin-Asus Nuvifone G60 handset has just been spotted on Amazon. This may not seem like big news, but it definitely is since it's available on Amazon (here) for just $99.99 on AT&T. Go get one now... if you really want to.

We just heard about the price of the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone G60 handset, which is set to be $300 on a 2-year contract on AT&T. Now we're hearing that it'll launch on October 4th. It looks like you should be expecting to fork over $299.99 on a 2-year contract after a $100 MIR, and you'll also have to get a $30 data plan for this long-delayed GPS-equipped handset. Talk about overpriced.

AT&T is planning on launching a couple of big phones over the next month or so. This includes the HTC Tilt 2 (Touch Pro 2), the HTC Pure (Touch Diamond 2), and the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone G60. According to the latest unconfirmed news, the HTC Tilt 2 will be launching for $299.99 USD on a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate and $499.99 contract-free. The HTC Pure will be launching for $149.99 USD on a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate and $349.99 contract-free. Lastly, the long-delayed Garmin-Asus Nuvifone G60 will be launching for $299.99 USD on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate and $549.99 USD contract-free. All three of these handsets are expected to launch by the end of the next month, but don't be surprised if the G60 gets delayed again... and again.

I think the Tilt 2 and G60 are fairly overpriced, but the HTC Pure seems reasonable. What do you think?

After many delays it looks like AT&T will be releasing Garmin-Asus' Nuvifone G60 and Nuvifone M20 handsets. These rumours actually line-up with what we've been hearing before, so it should be no surprise. The Nuvifone M20 did just hit Taiwan two days ago, so it's not like it's been around forever. As of right now, we don't have an exact release date for either handset, but we're going to go with Q4.

We knew that the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M20 was hitting Taiwan in August, but we didn't have an exact release date. Well, now we do. It'll be hitting Taiwan on August 19th - and will also be spreading to the Asia-Pacific market "over the next few months, as well as Europe in the second half of 2009." In case you forgot the Nuvifone M20 has: a 2.8-inch resistive touchscreen display, a 3MP AF camera, dual-band HSDPA support, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth, and GPS support. However, this WinMo handset's price is still unknown. It's launching in two days so just be patient - if you want it that badly.

Update on August 19th: I didn't feel like writing another blog post about it, but this handset is now available as expected.

Here's a pre-launch list of phones that are "coming soon" to AT&T. We don't know when they will launch, but they all should be available by the end of the year. The most important four on this list are below, courtesy of Boy Genius.

• HTC Pure (believe it’s the HTC Snap)

The BlackBerry 9700 is supposedly the BlackBerry Onyx; the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone G60 is the handset that has long been delayed and no one should care about it at this point. Like it says, the HTC Pure could be the HTC Snap with its unique and special AT&T name; the HTC Tilt 2 is supposedly AT&T's HTC Touch Pro 2, so that's definitely good news. When the release dates are announced, I'll have them all for you.

Last week, Garmin-Asus finally launched the Nuvifone G60... but only in Taiwan. In case you're somehow still interested in their handset, they have announced that it will be available in the US in Q4 of this year. Mobile Crunch actually made an interesting article about this. Since the phone was announced way back in January 2008, this is what has happened since then - 1 year, 6 months, and 6 days later.

Apple announced and released the iPhone 3G. Then they developed, announced, and released the iPhone 3GS.

Samsung has released the T119, Memoir, Trance, T349, T239, A657, A167, Propel Pro, Pixon, Magnet, Jack, Instinct S30, Impression, Exclaim, Alias 2, Solstice, Highlight, Gravity 2, and Comeback.

Two CTIA conferences, Two Mobile World Congresses, Two E3s, and CES 2009.

Competitor TeleNav has released software-based GPS solutions for the iPhone, Android OS, and Sidekick LX.

Impressive isn't it? Well, not so much for Garmin and Asus. Sorry guys, maybe next time.
