Toshiba Portege Z830 Hitting the UK This Month For £899

Labels: ,

We first saw the Toshiba Portege Z830 in September and now the company has just announced three different configurations of the ultrabook. The cheapest model will be £899 in the UK and it features an Intel Core i3-2367M 1.4GHz CPU, a 128GB SSD, 4GB of RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium, and integrated Intel graphics which isn't surprising. If you want to step up to the £969 model you'll get Windows 7 Professional and the £1,099 model features an Intel Core i5-2557M 1.7GHz CPU. The US price and release date for this is still unknown right now, and Toshiba should have a Core i7 model of this notebook. Looks like we'll be hearing more about this one in the next few days or weeks.

Toshiba's Next Android Tablet Looks Thin

Labels: , , , ,

Notebook Italia has just snagged the first photos of the upcoming thin Android "Honeycomb" tablet from Toshiba. It looks like the tablet will be quite thin when you compare it to the fat Toshiba Thrive that's currently on the market. The tablet looks like it has taken a few design cues from the iPad 2 with its silver side. It does have more connectivity than the iPad 2 though with HDMI, USB, and microSD ports. The back of the design is said to sport a brushed metal finish so this one could look quite good.
