Toshiba Unveils Three New Notebooks, 18.4-Inch Qosmio and 11.6 / 13.3-Inch Dynabooks

Labels: , , , , ,

Toshiba has just unveiled three new laptops, the Qosmio G60/97J, the Dynabook MX/43, and the Dynabook MX/33. First up, the Qosmio G60 comes packed with: an 18.4-inch display with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB HDD, Nvidia GeForce GT 230M graphics, an Ethernet port, WiFi 802.11 n, an HDMI output, two built-in TV tuners, a Blu-ray drive, integrated speakers, and Windows 7. This notebook will be available in Japan starting next month for Y220,000 ($2,457 USD) - no word on a US release date, if there is one.

Even though Toshiba is calling these 13.3-inch laptops, netbooks, they are clearly far from it. The Dynabook MX/43 has: a 13.1-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo ULV SU9400 1.4GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, three USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, an HDMI output, an SD / memory card slot, Windows 7, and an expected battery life of 10.5 hours. Toshiba also plans on launching the lower-end MX/33 which will be outed with: an Intel Celeron 743 1.3GHz CPU, an 11.6-inch display, and a battery long enough to last 9.5 hours. The Dynabook MX/43 and MX/33 will be available for around $1,330 USD and $1,000 USD, respectively, in Japan.

Toshiba Releasing 18.4-Inch Qosmio Notebook With Core i7 and 1GB Nvidia Graphics In October

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Toshiba has just announced their monstrous desktop replacement, the Qosmio X500. This notebook will be outed with: an 18.4-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) display, an Intel Core i7 2.8GHz CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 250MNV 1GB graphics, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a Blu-ray optical drive, twin 500GB HDDs, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, three USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output, and an USB 2.0/eSATA port, just in case. These specs are pretty high, so the price tag will be as well. Unfortunately, we don't know exactly how much this will launch for, but it will be available by the end of next month (October).

Toshiba Updates Qosmio and Dynabook SS RX2 and Announces the Mini NB200 Netbook

Labels: , , , , , ,

Like the Dell Studio 15 laptop yesterday, Toshiba has decided to update their Qosmio and Dynabook laptops. The Qosmio and Dynabook laptops will now come with Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs and the Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT graphics card. The Qosmio will come in 2 flavours: an 18.4-inch G50 ($3,421 USD) and a 15.4-inch FX ($2,119 USD). The Dynabook SS RX2, on the other hand, will come with a 128GB SSD and will cost an expensive $2,840 USD. They're now available in Japan, so unless you're willing to get it shipped over here, then your luck has run out.

The Toshiba Mini NB200 was just announced by Toshiba UK and it is the European version of the Dynabook UX that I talked about 2 days ago. The NB200 will have your choice of either a 1.6GHz N270 Atom CPU or a 1.66 GHz N280 Atom CPU, a 10.1-inch display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, Intel's integrated 945GSE graphics, a 160GB HDD, WiFi, optional 3G, Bluetooth, an integrated VGA webcam, and 3 USB 2.0 ports. This netbook will be available in the UK next month and will have a base price of £319 ($465 USD). Almost forgot to mention the best part, which is a 9-cell battery that is expected to last 9 hours.
