According to Boy Genius' "close sources" AT&T will be making a big push with Android this year since they seem to have scooped up the launch for the HTC Desire. This handset is basically the Nexus One with the Sense UI and Flash 10.1 support. Apparently, the look of the Desire will be altered slightly, but we don't know much about that right now. This handset is expected to launch in May / June of this year!
Sprint already has the HTC Hero and it looks like they're getting the successor, the HTC Legend, as well. Like the Hero, the Legend will get a different look and let's hope they remove that chin - just like they did with the Hero. We'll have to see what happens, but don't expect the specs of the handset to change. We don't know when this handset will launch yet.

It looks like the HTC Desire has just been spotted on Amazon Germany for €419 which comes out to around $572 USD. This handset runs Android 2.1 with the Sense UI; the specs are similar to the Nexus One. Of course, that's unlocked and we also don't know when it'll be available. Check it out here.
Update: Well, it looks like Amazon has increased the price of the Desire to €499.97 ($678 USD) and they also have the HTC Legend up as well. the Legend is slightly cheaper at €459 ($623 USD). Check out the Desire here and the Legend here.

The HTC Desire has just been made official at HTC's conference this morning. The specs are all here (from yesterday's post), but there's a bit more information today. Of course, it'll be packing all the specs of the Nexus One (with an optical mouse instead of the trackball), but it'll also bring the Sense UI and Flash support when it launches in early Q2. There's a video below if you're interested.
Update: According to Phandroid, T-Mobile UK will be launching the HTC Desire on March 26th! Check out the tweet here!
Update: According to Phandroid, this handset will also be available on Orange UK starting this April, of course, for free.

First HTC Incredible Photos Leak Out, Not-So-Incredible Back Cover

If this picture is to be believed then this is the HTC Incredible. It looks slightly different from the Bravo so they're definitely not the same handset. The look may be a bit different, but the rumoured specs seem to be on par with the Bravo. They could be a variant of each other. It [supposedly] features a 3.5 to 3.7-inch touchscreen (possibly AMOLED and WVGA) display, 256MB of RAM, a dual-LED flash on the camera (probably 5MP), a Snapdragon CPU, and HTC Sense over top of Android 2.1. What's up with the back cover though... let's hope they changed that when they release it.
Update: Check out Engadget for a video. They've also mentioned that this handset will likely be headed to Verizon with an optical mouse - similar to the Bravo.

Thank you! Here's a better picture of the upcoming HTC Bravo that should be hitting the market soon. This phone is expected to be extremely similar to the Google Nexus One but it's sporting an optical mouse instead of the trackball. It should also bring on HTC's Sense UI over top of Android which will give it a nice and slick look.

T-Mobile UK looks like they're set to launch a couple of amazing phones, including the likes of the HTC Bravo (above on the left), the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 (above on the right), the Sony Ericsson Vivaz (formerly known as the Kurara - bottom left), the Samsung Galaxy Spica (below on the right), and the BB Storm 2. They're all running Android except for the Vivaz and, of course, the Storm 2 which will be running S60 and BB OS 5.0, respectively, so you can see all the hype here. They're all amazing phones so it could be pretty tough to pick any one of these phones. Of course my favourite is the XPERIA X10.

HTC Bravo Pictured In the Wild, Sense UI Over Top Of Android
Wondering what the HTC Bravo will look like in real life? Well, today the first picture has been spotted of it and it's clearly got the Sense UI. What you can't see is that is features HSDPA / HSUPA connectivity, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, and Android. The display is measured at 3.7-inches and it should be launching in Sweden this March. This one will likely sell more than the Nexus One which reportedly clocked in terrible sales. On the back is a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash.

Another Android handset from HTC looks like it'll be here in a couple of weeks. 3 Sweden has just mentioned that they're planning to launch the HTC Bravo in March. The specs for the Bravo look pretty identical to the Nexus One, that's a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, a 5MP camera, and Android 2.1. The good news here is that HTC plans to overlay Android 2.1 with their own Sense UI.

HTC Bravo's User Agent Profile Spotted, Let's Hope It Shows Up At MWC
Cell Passion has just spotted the User Agent Profile for the HTC Bravo. We're hoping that it'll make an appearance at MWC 2010 this year, but we're not sure. The Bravo will evidently sport a 480 x 800 resolution with no physical QWERTY keyboard. Check out the User Agent Profile here.

Android HTC Incredible (Possibly the Bravo) Headed To Verizon In 2010
We don't know any details on the HTC Incredible but it will reportedly be headed to Verizon in the US. This is from a trusted source, but he didn't spill any other details - it's running Android. A couple of people out there are assuming that this handset will be the HTC Bravo from the leaked roadmap a couple of weeks ago. If it's the Bravo then 2010 will be a great year for Verizon.

T-Mobile To Offer the Google Nexus One / HTC Passion Starting On January 5th?
Picture the Google Nexus One with T-Mobile branding and that could be what will be happening in early 2010. According to Reuters (still a rumour), T-Mobile could be offering to sell what we know as the Nexus One as something else. We already know that this handset is the HTC Passion / Dragon from a while ago, but it could be hitting the carrier subsidized as early as January 5th. This handset will also be sold unsubsidized by Google, possibly on the same day, but we'll have to wait for pricing details.
Update: According to Lifehacker, it could be available for $99.99 USD on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate. This would likely see competition from the iPhone since it is priced $100 cheaper than the latest model.

Google Nexus One Passes FCC With T-Mobile 3G Bands, Not AT&T's
Bam! It's been only 4 days and this news is to keep the Google Nexus one streak alive. This time it has been spotted at the FCC with T-Mobile 3G capable bands. This would make perfect sense seeing how Google decided to launch their first Android phone (made by HTC), the T-Mobile G1 / HTC Dream, on their network as well. The FCC testing has also revealed that it will solely be capable of running on T-Mobile's 3G network. "Sorry AT&T, but that's how the cookie crumbles." Check out the FCC filing here, here, and here.

Two Unofficial Pictures Of the Google Phone In the Wild, We've Seen It Before.
Clearly, this is the HTC Passion / Bravo / Dragon we've been seeing a bit about lately. This is the Google Phone. Not exactly as "beautiful" as I thought it would be, but it's bearable. I do think the iPhone looks better to be honest, but it's alright. It's the software that counts. So we know that this handset will be launched exclusively by Google at the start of next year if everything goes according to plan. This is the Google Nexus One folks.
Update: Boy Genius has found the second photo (below) of the Nexus One in the wild. This one doesn't look as "brown" as the first photo, which is good because I was hoping that it would be more silver.

Until it's official I'm saying that this handset has a 3.5-inch or a 3.7-inch OLED multitouch display. There are a couple of reports that state the former, and a couple that state the latter - they can't make up their minds. The HTC Bravo (above) will reportedly be the HTC Dragon / Passion that we've been hearing about. Yes, you'll find a Snapdragon inside of this bad boy, and there'll be a 5MP AF camera that will record 720p video. Everything else is standard: WiFi / Bluetooth support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, an FM radio, a digital compass, and a 1,400 mAh battery.
This is something to look forward to you Android nerds.
