Motorola has just announced that they'll be launching the Motoroi in Europe as the Milestone XT720. The specs are pretty much untouched, and that's a good thing except for the fact that it'll be running the same ol' 550MHz CPU along with Android 2.1 instead of "Froyo" - that update should come later though. The other specs should be mouth-watering though: a 3.7-inch WVGA (480 x 854) multitouch capacitive display, an 8MP AF camera with 720p HD video recording and a xenon flash, WiFi / GPS support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, an 8GB card in the box, and an HDMI output. It probably isn't a coincidence that this was announced today - with
WWDC later.

Unwired View has just pointed out that
Expansys [in the UK] is now taking pre-orders for this handset if you're willing to spend £449.99 ($657 USD). This is expected to be available starting on July 2nd.
Update: According to
Engadget, the Milestone XT720 got a light spec boost. The CPU inside (TI OMAP3440) is clocked at 720MHz and the RAM got a slight bump to 512MB. That's all.
