Canada's Bell Mobility Discontinues the BlackBerry Storm, What Could Replace It?

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

Bell looks like they have just discontinued the BlackBerry Storm. The Canadian carrier could be looking to launch it's direct successor or they could be thinking about launching a BlackBerry that hasn't become official yet. Could Bell be preparing to launch an HSPA model of the BlackBerry Storm 2? Maybe they're looking to launch the BlackBerry Bold / Storm Slider.

Nokia N8-00 Leaks Out; 12MP Camera, HDMI Out, and Symbian^3?

Labels: , , , ,

Another leak of a Nokia phone has just surfaced. Apparently, this is the Nokia N8-00 which will be their new flagship phone and could be running Symbian^3. On the back, there looks to be a 12MP snapper (with a Carl Zeiss lens and a xenon flash), which is truly impressive. There also appears to be a front-facing camera, a microSD card slot, and an HDMI port on this handset so it's packing a pretty good spec sheet so far. The display is rumoured to be WVGA (480 x 800) capacitive and the battery could be 1,200mAh. Let's just hope that this handset is also packing a 1GHz Snapdragon! Maybe Nokia will announce this in the next couple of days.

Update: According to Slash Gear, this handset will be officially announced in April 2010 with a release following later in the year - around September.

Update: According to Engadget, Nokia (here) seems to have unofficially confirmed the existence of this handset. The confirmed specs seem to be that it'll feature Symbian^3 along with a nHD display with a 360 x 640 resolution. There'll also be Bluetooth 2.0, GPRS/EGPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSDPA connectivity, and WiFi on-board.

Want USB Ports and SD Card Slots On Your iPad? Get The Camera Connection Kit

Labels: , , , , ,

If you're like me you've been complaining about the iPad ever since Apple's conference ended. Okay, so there are no USB ports or SD card slots on this thing, but wait, there is a solution. Thanks to Apple ripping everyone off here, they actually have SD card and USB adapters!! Unfortunately, you can only use one of these at a time since it [the iPad] only has one of these awkward connectors. The prices aren't mentioned, but it's being called the "iPad Camera Connection Kit." Awesome!

Update: According to 9 to 5 Mac as of March 27th, you can now order this for $29. It's set to ship in late April if you decide to scoop one up. Check it out here.
