CDMA Palm Pixi Spotted at the FCC With WiFi, Possibly Headed To Verizon

Labels: , , ,

The Palm Pixi is already available on Sprint, but if the FCC is to be believed it could also be headed to Verizon as well. A CDMA variant of the Pixi has just been approved by them. To make Sprint - and current Pixi fans - even sadder, this model has support for WiFi b/g. The Pixi on Sprint does not. Check out the FCC filing here.

It looks like a small little California company, HDI, has just announced the price tag for their laser 100-inch 3D HDTV. It'll be available starting in May 2010 for $10,000 to $15,000 USD and should be in full production by Christmas of 2010. Labels: , , , , , ,

There's not much to say here but Polyphony Digital and Sony are aiming for a March release date for Gran Turismo 5 in Japan. The more important news though is that North America could be getting the game as early as Summer 2010. This game has been in production for over 3 years, but they are willing to take their sweet time.

LG X30 Netbook Passes FCC, Likely With Pine Trail Atom... and Windows XP?

Labels: , , , , , , ,

These last couple of days have been pretty big for netbooks passing the FCC. Here's another one and this time it's from LG, the X30. This netbook will feature: an 11.6-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel "Pine Trail" Atom CPU, an SSD, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth support, a multitouch trackpad, and a 3-cell battery. Surprisingly enough, this netbook will be running Windows XP (or at least was tested with it) even though the user manual photo (above) is running Windows 7. Check out the FCC filing here.

Two Unofficial Pictures Of the Google Phone In the Wild, We've Seen It Before.

Labels: , , , , ,

Clearly, this is the HTC Passion / BravoDragon we've been seeing a bit about lately. This is the Google Phone. Not exactly as "beautiful" as I thought it would be, but it's bearable. I do think the iPhone looks better to be honest, but it's alright. It's the software that counts. So we know that this handset will be launched exclusively by Google at the start of next year if everything goes according to plan. This is the Google Nexus One folks.

Update: Boy Genius has found the second photo (below) of the Nexus One in the wild. This one doesn't look as "brown" as the first photo, which is good because I was hoping that it would be more silver.
