Packard Bell To Launch 11.6-Inch Tablet Notebook and Coloured E-Book Reader In 2010

Labels: , , ,

Everybody seems to be jumping on to this e-book reader bandwagon and Packard Bell is another company to add to the list. Before that though they have mentioned that they will be launching an 11.6-inch tablet notebook in February of next year. Along with that news they have mentioned that they will be launching a coloured e-book reader "later in the year." This isn't specific, but I guess you should keep your eyes open.

Nokia 5235 Coming Cheap In Q1 2010, Another 5800 Look Alike

Labels: ,

Here's another attempt at a touchscreen phone from Nokia. This time it's the Nokia 5235 that will be quite cheap when it launches in Q1 2010. This looks like the 5800 XpressMusic and the Nokia 5230, since it's got the same styling. This handset does feature: a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 2MP camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, and S60 5th Edition. There's no GPS on this handset, but it'll be available for €145 ($214 USD) at the start of next year.

Acer A1 Liquid Gets FCC Treatment, AT&T's First Android Device?

Labels: , , , , , ,

Well, well, well, what do we have here. It looks like the Acer (A1) Liquid has just passed the FCC (filing here) with 850 / 1900MHz bands. We already know all about this Android-based handset, since it's been available in the UK for a couple of days now. Unfortunately, it'll have the same specs and that would be great if the Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU wasn't underclocked to 768MHz. There's rumours going around that AT&T will launch this, but we'll just wait and see. AT&T still doesn't have an Android device.

Maybe Canada will get it...

HP Mini 210 Netbook Spotted, Could Be the Mini 110 With Pine Trail

Labels: , , , ,

Netbooked is back at it again, this time they've discovered a new HP Mini 210 listing on HP's own website (actually it was MyHPMini). Clearly, this netbook could be seen as the successor their Mini 110 netbook, which is definitely a good thing. We're looking at a netbook with an Intel Atom N450 and - if it is the Mini 110 successor - it could also have Nvidia Ion graphics inside. This is something to look forward to.

Update: For some unknown reason I confused the HP Mini 110 for the Mini 311. The Mini 110 doesn't have Ion graphics, it's actually the Mini 311. So, this is a regular netbook with integrated graphics - unfortunately.

Acer Aspire One 532 Netbook To Feature Atom N450 CPU, Count On It Being At CES 2010

Labels: , , , ,

The folks over at Netbooked have found a new netbook on Acer's website. This appears to be the Aspire One 532 netbook and it's a bit different from the rest. That's simply because they also found that this netbook will feature Intel's upcoming Pine Trail line-up of Atoms, more specifically the N450 CPU. It'll also feature a 10.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 720 resolution and integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics. This netbook will reportedly retail for €299 ($441 USD), but we won't know for sure until next year.
