And The Construction Continues

After quite a lengthy investigation on my part, I figured out that the problem with my blog layout is that one of the background pictures no longer exist. Coincidentally, that picture was the most important part of my whole layout. Now that I can't use "Langit" anymore, I've decided to change my layout. The transition hasn't really been all that great so far. Some of my ads aren't working and there's a random advertisement at the top that I can't seem to delete.

I'm currently trying to get my blog up and running as fast as I can, but it doesn't help that I have a test to study for. Exams are also coming up early next week, so I'm trying my best to get it done today because I miss writing about technology - that's basically what my life revolves around.

For all my readers - though not many - I apologize.

Under Major Construction!

My blog hasn't been rendering properly as of late, so I'm going to have to take some time to fix it. It's really frustrating for me.

Sony Releasing WiMAX Option For The Vaio Z and P By The End of the Month

Labels: , , , , , ,

Sony has just announced that it plans to launch a WiMAX option to both their Vaio Z and Vaio P laptops.
These WiMAX-enabled models are expected to be available in Japan by the end of the month. The Vaio Z and P already have 3G connectivity, so having WiMAX as another option would be a great addition. Nothing else is known, so I'll tell you all about it when it gets released.

Samsung's 17.3-Inch R720 Is a Multimedia Laptop

Labels: ,

Samsung has just unveiled its latest 17.3-inch laptop, the R720. It's the successor to the R710 laptop from last year, if anyone cares. This laptop has: a 17.3-inch LED-backlit display, ATI's Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics, stereo speakers with a "subwoofer", a full QWERTY keyboard with a numeric keypad on the side, 4 USB 2.0 slots, and will run on Windows Vista Home Premium. Other spec details have not been outlined yet, so I'll get those to you when I can. Availability and price date have not been mentioned yet, so the details - so far - are pretty scarce.

Samsung M8920 Gets Q3 Release Date, Omnia2 In October; S8000 To Be Unveiled At Samsung Unpacked?

Labels: , , , ,

This is a pretty good day for release dates for Samsung's handsets. The Samsung M8920 - that has a 12MP camera with 3x optical zoom - will be available by the end of Q3, which is pretty far away, but I'm sure we won't mind the wait. Another handset that will be available by the end of the year is the Samsung I8000 Omnia2. This WinMo-packing handset  - that has a 3.7-inch AMOLED resistive touchscreen WVGA display - will be available in October of this year.

According to the latest rumours, the phone that will be unveiled at Samsung Unpacked could be the Samsung S8000 Jet. We'll just have to see on June 15th. I really hope it's running Android, similar to earlier rumours.

Philips Unveils the Xenium X830 With a 5MP Camera

Labels: ,

Philips has just unveiled their latest handset, the Xenium X830. It's more impressive than I thought it would be with its: 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, 5MP AF camera with an LED flash, quad-band GSM/EDGE, WiFi, and GPS. The battery life is said to be quite lengthy, but that could be why the phone is weighing in at 120 grams, which is "a bit much" according to GSM Arena. The phone also caps it off with offering: Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, USB connectivity, and an FM radio. The Philips Xenium X830 should be available in about a month, but the price has not been disclosed yet.

Nokia N86 Now Available Everywhere!

Labels: ,

The Nokia N86 is now shipping everywhere! The best feature of this phone is definitely its 8MP camera with a Carl Zeiss lens / xenon flash, and a mechanical shutter. This phone also has 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 2.6-inch OLED display. The price hasn't been mentioned yet, but Espoo announced that it's now shipping globally. I'll update this when I find the price.
