Sharp Introduces the 7-Inch Galapagos Android Tablet With WiMAX

Looks like Sharp is bringing another Android tablet to the market. They have just introduced a 7-inch tablet that features a 1,024 x 600 resolution. This tablet also packs WiMAX, a 5MP camera, a front-facing 2MP camera, a Tegra 2 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and WiFi support. This tablet will have access to the company's Galapagos Store which has 40,000 newspapers, books, and comic books which is great if you like to rear. If you want to pick one up then you should keep in mind that it hits Japan on December 9th although the price is unknown right now.

HTC has just made another Android handset official. This one's the EVO Design 4G which is set to hit Sprint in the US on October 23rd for $99.99 on a 2-year contract. The handset itself features a 4-inch qHD display, a single-core 1.2GHz CPU, a 5MP camera, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth 3.0 / WiFi b/g/n support, a microSD card slot (8GB card included), DLNA, WiMAX (4G) connectivity, and Android "Gingerbread" with the Sense UI. HTC EVO Design 4G Leaks In Press Shot

If you're still interested in the oft-leaked HTC EVO Design 4G aka the Hero S for US Cellular or the HTC Kingdom then here it is again. PocketNow has managed to get their hands on the press photos for the smartphone and it's looking pretty darn good. Obviously, it's running Android "Gingerbread" with the Sense UI and it should also feature WiMAX. Other specs include a 4-inch qHD display, a 1.2GHz CPU, 768MB of RAM, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and a 5MP camera with 720p video recording.

So, you've been waiting for the Motorola Photon 4G. Well, you'll only have to wait a few more weeks but Sprint has just announced that it'll be available later this month. The smartphone will be available on July 31st for $199.99 on a 2-year contract and if you're a Premier customer then you'll be able to get it on the 28th - three days early.

Specs for this one are: a 4.3-inch qHD display, a Tegra 2 CPU, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash, a front-facing camera, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, WiMAX, WiFi / Bluetooth support, and Android 2.3.

The latest leak tells up that Sprint plans to launch two more Android smartphones and they could be available this month. The leak above tells us that the carrier could launch the Samsung Conquer and also the Motorola Photon 4G. The Conquer is the cheaper of the two and it'll apparently launch on July 24th. It features a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, a 1GHz CPU, a 3.2MP camera, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Photon is said to feature a 4.3-inch display, a Tegra 2 CPU, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP camera, a front-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage, and Android 2.3 "Gingerbread".

Sprint in the US has just made another one of their upcoming Android phones official. What you see above is the Samsung Conquer 4G which, obviously, has WiMAX connectivity as well as a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone features a 3.5-inch display with a 320 x 480 resolution, a 1GHz CPU, a 3.2MP camera, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, Sprint ID, and Android 2.3 "Gingerbread". The price is unknown right now but it's a mid-end handset since mobile phones are evolving so fast with dual-core CPUs with bigger and crisper displays. The release date is also unknown so we'll all have to wait for that one.

Sprint and Motorola's Upcoming XPRT Successor Gets Pictured

There was a rumour going around yesterday about Sprint and Motorola working on an upgraded XPRT smartphone and the price about could be it. Pop Herald snagged the photo of said smartphone and it's rumoured to feature "Gingerbread" as well as WiMAX support. Of course, it also has the QWERTY keyboard which some people love. An official name is unknown right now so maybe we'll hear more about it soon.

Android and Me is hearing that Sprint and Motorola may already be planning to release an upgraded XPRT smartphone. Apparently, the handset will sport a QWERTY keyboard, WiMAX, and even Android "Gingerbread". People must love their QWERTY keyboards if this is the case but I'll stick with something like the DROID Bionic or the Galaxy S II instead.

Sprint's Q3 Roadmap Leaks; Galaxy S II, Epic 4G Successor; BlackBerrys Too

Q3 starts in a week (July) and there's a leaked roadmap for the occasion - coming from This Is My Next. The roadmap includes Sprint's upcoming Epic 2 along with the Galaxy Within aka the Galaxy S II. Apparently, the Epic 2 which is the Epic 4G successor will feature a 4-inch display, a 1.2GHz single-core CPU, an 8MP camera, Android, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Galaxy S II, on the other hand, will be exactly what we've been waiting for and will also feature WiMAX connectivity which is great.

In Q3 of this year you can also expect the BlackBerry Bold Touch as well as another touchscreen BlackBerry (Monaco). Apparently, there'll also be a new push-to-talk BlackBerry that should be launching soon. You can also expect some Kyocera / Sanyo phones in Q3.

Today is June 24 and Sprint in the US has just released the HTC EVO 3D as well as the HTC EVO View 4G. The former is a high-end smartphone with 3D capabilities while the latter is the Flyer with WiMAX connectivity. They're now available for $199.99 and $399.99 on a 2-year contract, respectively. Thankfully, the tablet comes with the stylus and features a 1.5GHz Qualcomm CPU. If you're looking to pick either one of these up then you might want to read a few reviews first.

Motorola Announces the TITANIUM and the PHOTON 4G For Sprint, Triumph Hitting Virgin

Sprint held a press event today and they announced a few new devices that you can feast your eyes on. The first one is the Motorola TITANIUM which runs the Android OS along with a QWERTY keyboard. The handset itself features a 5MP camera, WiFi b/g / Bluetooth 2.1 support, a microSD card slot (2GB card included), and even Military Spec 810G ruggedness. It's definitely not packing a great spec sheet but it'll be pretty good as a quick messaging phone.

That's not all though. They also announced the PHOTON 4G which may be a better choice for you if you're into great specs. The smartphone features a 4.3-inch qHD display, a Tegra 2 dual-core CPU, an 8MP camera, a front-facing camera, an HDMI output, a kickstand, and Android 2.3 with the Blur UI. Yes, it's sporting the 4G tag so it'll have WiMAX capabilities if that's your thing.

One more device. Virgin Mobile announced that they'll be launching the Motorola Triumph in the near future as well. This one features a 4.1-inch display, 512MB of RAM, aGPS, 2GB of storage, a Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU, WiFi support, an HDMI output, and Android 2.2. The price and release date for this one is still unknown for now.

HTC EVO View 4G and EVO 3D Officially Hitting Sprint On June 24th

If you're not interested in the Motorola XPRT then Sprint may have just announced what you were waiting for. They have made the HTC EVO View 4G and the EVO 3D official and they're both going to be launching on June 24th. They'll cost you $399 and $199, respectively, on a 2-year contract if you're interested. If you're a premier customer then you'll be able to order the EVO View 4G a couple of days early with the estimated shipping date of June 21 which is a few days earlier than the regular people out there.

The EVO View 4G is just the HTC Flyer with WiMAX capabilities while the EVO 3D packs a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, a 4.3-inch qHD display, dual cameras, and Android 2.3 with the new Sense UI. Mark the date on your calendars if you want to.

The latest leak from Sprint's internal website has just told us that the HTC EVO View 4G will be available on June 24th. The "Gingerbread" tablet has been up for pre-order on the carrier for over a week now and it looks like you'll have to wait three more to get your own. Seems to me like it's bad timing for HTC since the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available shortly and then the Toshiba Thrive will be available in July. The choice is yours though.
