Interested in the RAmos W7 tablet / MID? Well, a new photo has just popped up of this device and this time comparing it with some popular device. Specifically, the iPhone and the T-Mobile G1 / HTC Dream. Now you know how big it is IRL, if you were to buy it.

Three Apple Patents Surface; Magical Dock, Semi-Removable Cover, and Touchless Menu Navigation

Labels: , ,

Three new Apple patents have just been unearthed. The first one is above and it's actually a universal dock for both the iPhone and the iPod Touch. This dock actually doesn't have any cables which is pretty sweet. "The secret to the dock, such as it is, is that the base would be made of an elastic, sponge-like substance that could conform to any device and hold it in place." Fortunately, if that is the case, you'll be able to dock any device on this thing, but Engadget points out that it might not hold up a certain tablet though. Check out the patent here - it's a PDF.

What you see above is the second Apple patent that has been spotted today. It's just a patent that has a strip that'll prevent you from playing with the innards. If this patent holds true maybe the next iPhone will have swappable batteries. Finally.

The last patent that has been surfaced is below. There's not much to make out from it other than the fact that their non-iPod Touch line could be affected by it. Using an accelerometer inside the iPod Nano - or whatever other iPod - you may actually be able to change the song or browse through the menu by just flicking your wrist. Apple really hates buttons.

Dell Adamo XPS Exclusive To John Lewis In the UK For the Holidays; Starts Shipping in the US

Labels: , , , ,

If you live in the UK, you won't find the Dell Adamo XPS on their website this year. That's because it will actually be an exclusive to John Lewis department stores for this holiday season. It'll likely be available on their website next year, but for now you'll have to fork over £1,750 ($2,850 USD) to get one of these. That's the base model too.

Update: According to Engadget, the Adamo XPS is actually starting to ship and arrive at their destinations. It might not be hitting absolutely everyone who pre-ordered but just know that Dell is starting to ship them out as we speak. It's an early Christmas present for you.

Onkyo To Sell Rebranded Kohjinsha Dual-Screen Netbook, Bumped Up the Specs

Labels: , , ,

If you love netbooks, you should love this one as well. Onkyo plans to sell a rebranded Kohjinsha dual-screen netbook in the future. This netbook will be a bit more expensive than the original, but gets a couple of bumps in specs. The improvements are that it'll come with 2GB of RAM (up from 1GB), a 320GB HDD (up from 160GB), and displays with a 1,366 x 768 resolution (up from 1,024 x 600). Of course, this netbook will feature the same dual-screen (and sliding) 10.1-inch LED-backlit displays, but Onkyo decided to remove the 1-Seg digital TV tuner. They also changed the colour of the netbook to white. All the other specs stay the same.

This model will be available in Japan by the end of the month, but Geek Stuff 4 U could have it on their website later this month as well. This netbook will cost you $950 in Japan, which is around $55 more than the original model.

Asus Reportedly Working On 4 to 7-Inch Eee Pad, a Tablet PC With MID Functions Too!

Labels: , , , ,

According to Digitimes, Asus is planning to launch a new Eee Pad device, which will be a small tablet with a 4 to 7-inch display. Apple likely sparked the idea for Asus to make one of these tablets and I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case - I also wouldn't be surprised if they denied those claims. As we can tell right now, this tablet will be smaller than the Apple tablet which is expected to have around a 10-inch display. This tablet will also feature MID functions as well as tablet PC functions. Thanks Asus.

Apple Already Ordering the Parts For the Next iPhone From Foxconn?

Labels: , , ,

According to the latest rumour (thanks to a tweet from someone at Mobile-Review), Apple is already starting to purchase parts for the next iPhone (not a real photo above) from Foxconn. This is quite early for them to start production, so we just might see the iPhone a bit earlier than expected (which is in June). I think the June date will stick though, unless they're going to completely go after the XPERIA X10.

Maybe the next iPhone will be coming earlier next year to make room for their tablet. Ever thought of that?

Dell Streak MID To Be Unveiled At CES 2010

Labels: , , , , , ,

This isn't exactly the most shocking news out there, but word is that the Dell Streak MID (that could be headed to AT&T) will be completely unveiled at CES 2010 which is in January. This MID isn't new news and we know that it should feature a 5-inch touchscreen display, 3G connectivity, and Android. It's not confirmed if it's the Dell Streak, but come on now. It probably is.

Sony Ericsson "Susan" To Launch as the J10, Part of the Greenheart Line-Up

Labels: , , ,

What you see above is yet another dumbphone from Sony Ericsson. The Sony Ericsson "Susan" will be launched as the J10 and it'll feature a QVGA display, WiFi, and a 5MP camera with a flash. It's obviously not as entertaining as the XPERIA X10 will be, but it should be good for your kids. This handset will be a part of Sony Ericsson's Greenheart line-up, so it'll be quite eco-friendly. This picture popped up last night, but we don't know what the price will be like or when it gets released.

Update: Back in October, we heard that this will be a rugged handset. We'll have to wait and see if it will be one.

This customer above was probably really happy when he got his in the mail yesterday. Let's hope most of you that pre-ordered get yours as well.
