MTS In Canada Releases the Motorola Milestone

Labels: , , , , ,

That's right! A year late, MTS in Canada has released the Motorola Milestone (A854). I wouldn't be surprised if these models are the last shipments or something like that because I doubt that they actually produce these in factories anymore. Anyways, the Milestone is available for $179.99 on a 3-year contract, $279.99 on a 2-year contract, and $504.99 on a 1-year contract. Check it out on MTS.

Over a year late, it looks like the Motorola Milestone (A854) will be hitting MTS in Canada. In case you forgot, this smartphone features a 3.7-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5MP AF camera with a dual-LED flash, a microSD card slot, an ARM A8 600MHz CPU, and Android 2.1. In addition to this news Mobile Syrup has confirmed that this smartphone will be hitting the carrier for $179.99 on a 3-year contract, $279.99 on a 2-year, and $504.99 on a 1-year which is definitely expensive.

Cellular South Releases the Motorola Milestone For $150

Labels: , , , , ,

Fresh off the heels of Verizon's Motorola DROID going out of stock, Cellular South in the USA has picked up and released the Motorola Milestone for $149.99 on a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate (here). This handset sports the exact same spec sheet - it just has a different name. You'll get a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot (8GB card in the box), and Android 2.1. This is definitely a bit late to the party considering that Verizon has already released the Motorola DROID 2. Oh well.

Cellular South Launching the Motorola Milestone In the Near Future

Labels: , , , , ,

Cellular South will be releasing the Motorola Milestone and they've just officially announced it - after hinting it at us back in mid-May. This handset is "coming soon" but the price is still unknown. This is pretty good but I'm assuming that it'll be launched with Android 2.1.

Future Shop Now Selling the XPERIA X10 and the Motorola Milestone For $99.99 On a 3-Year

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

If you head over to a Future Shop right now they're reportedly selling the Rogers Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and the Telus Motorola Milestone for just $99.99. These are both pretty great deals and the price drop is likely due to the new iPhone that's coming in the next couple of weeks (as soon as next week). Of course, since this is Canada you'll be locked up for 3-years. If you bite on the deal you'll also be getting a $75 gift card with your purchase so you'll be able to buy some accessories as well.

Labels: , , , , ,

Cellular South just showed off a unique way to announce their latest handset. They have unofficially announced that they'll be launching the Motorola Milestone. As you can see in the Facebook message below, the first letter of every line spells out "MILESTONE." This is good pick up for them, so look out for it in the future.

Canada's Future Shop Now Offering the Telus Motorola Milestone For $149.99

Labels: , , , , , ,

In Canada it now looks like you have an option for the Telus Motorola Milestone. Future Shop should now be offering the handset for $149.99 on a 3-year contract, which is $50 cheaper than what Telus is making you pay up. That's not all though. As usual, Future Shop will also throw in a $50 gift card with your purchase so it's really $100 off when you add that in. This one is an in-store only deal.

Canada's Telus Now Offering the Motorola Milestone For $149.99

Labels: , , , , , ,

It looks Telus is either being generous or isn't getting as much sales on the Motorola Milestone as they thought they would. It's now available on Telus (here) for just $149.99 on a 3-year contract. The handset hasn't even been available for a whole month yet and it has already dropped $50 in price.

Canada's Telus Releases the Motorola Milestone For $199!

Labels: , , , , , ,

It's Telus Tuesday, okay, well, not really, but they've launched a new handset for Canada to go out and get (most of Canada at least). It's the Motorola Milestone! It's now available for $199.99 on a 3-year contract, $499.99 on a 2-year contract, $549.99 on a 1-year contract, and $599.99 contract-free. This Android handset launched as the DROID on Verizon in the US and is rocking a 3.7-inch touchscreen display with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It's a pretty amazing phone so pick one up (here on Telus) whenever you can.

Update: According to Mobile Syrup, the Motorola Milestone is now available in Canada thanks to Telus and it looks like Best Buy is already offering a slight price drop in the contract-free price. Best Buy is offering Telus' Milestone for $549.99 CAD contract-free which is $50 lower than what Telus is offering.

Best Buy Confirms That Telus Is Launching the Motorola Milestone On February 18th

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Before today it was just a rumour, but it looks like Best Buy (Canada) has just leaked out when the Motorola Milestone will be launching on Telus. The February 18th date is just under two weeks away. Like the ad says, "Pre-order the Motorola Milestone in-store today. Simply put a $50 deposit down in-store and on February 18th you will be the first to own the Smartphone without limits."

Motorola Milestone Possibly Launching On Telus On February 18th -- Not In Manitoba Or Saskatchewan

Labels: , , , , , ,

Yesterday it was rumoured that Telus would be launching the Motorola Milestone on February 15th and now an internal memo has stated that they'll actually be launching it three days later - on February 18th. In two days, Telus will reportedly "start taking deposits" for the phone, kind of like a pre-order. The rumoured price is $199.99 on a 3-year contract and $549 contract-free.

Update: According to Mobile Syrup there's some bad news regarding the upcoming Motorola Milestone on Telus. Since their HSPA network isn't available everywhere yet, Manitoba and Saskatchewan will not be getting their shot at the Milestone. Incredibly bad news for those folks.

Telus Rumoured To Be Launching the Motorola Milestone On February 15th

Labels: , , , , , ,

It's unconfirmed at this time, but if you believe Mobile Magazine's tipster then February 15th is the date to mark on your calendar. The latest rumour has is that the 15th of this month will be when Telus releases the Motorola Milestone. It'll be running Android 2.0 so that's great news since all of the Android handsets in Canada still run 1.5 and 1.6. The price is said to be $199.99 CAD on a 3-year contract and $549 contract-free.

Motorola Milestone "Coming Soon" To Canada's Telus! Spotted Twice

Labels: , , , , , ,

Telus has just confirmed that the Motorola Milestone is coming soon seeing how they've just plastered it on the home page. The upcoming Milestone looks like it's now "Coming Soon." Of course, we don't know exactly when so we'll have to wait and see. Let's hope it's in a couple of days / weeks.

Update: Phandroid has just spotted the Milestone also "Coming Soon" in a recent Best Buy Mobile buyer's guide. The launch should be very soon, like I said.

Motorola (A853) Milestone Gets Bluetooth SIG Certificate, Likely Headed To Canada's Telus

Labels: , , , , , ,

It looks like something pretty juicy has just been spotted at the Bluetooth SIG, it's the Motorola Milestone. The DROID has been out for a while now (in the US on Verizon) and it's the A855. Well, this Motorola device is the A853 and has support for UMTS-based 3G networks, like Telus' up in Canada. This is great news because this is definitely the best Android device to hit Canada so far. The launch should only be a couple of weeks away.

Motorola Milestone NOT Set To Launch On Telus On January 26th

Labels: , , , , , ,

We already know that the Motorola Milestone is set to launch on Telus early this year but we don't know when. Well, the latest rumour has it that it will launch on January 26th - if everything is "on time". This will definitely be the best Android phone to-date that has hit Canada. Hopefully this rumour turns out to be true, especially since Telus has one of the fastest networks.

Update: That was shortlived. According to a newer Mobile Syrup post the Milestone actually won't be launching on January 26th. It's still scheduled for an early Q1 launch, but the date is still unknown.

Android 2.1 Ready For Release On December 11th?

Labels: , , , , , , , , , ,

Android 2.0 has been out for about a month on the Motorola DROID and it looks like Google is already going to release Android 2.1 in the near future - December 11th to be exact. If the rumour is true, it could be making its way to the DROID, the Droid Eris, and even the HTC Hero - as we saw in the leak the other day. This won't be that big of a change, but it should fix some problems that were found in Android 2.0.
