MTS is kind of slow to the party but it looks like they're almost ready to release the Google Nexus S. The smartphone is said to be launching in a few weeks but the price is unknown right now. With the new wave of Android smartphones - and the next iPhone - on the way, it might be a tough sell unless it's inexpensive.

The BlackBerry Torch 9810 has hit yet another carrier in Canada and this time it's MTS. The smartphone is available on the carrier right now for $149.99 on a 3-year contract and a whopping $629.99 contract-free which is way too much to pay. The handset packs a 1.2GHz CPU, a 5MP camera, a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a slide-up portrait QWERTY keyboard, and OS 7.0. Check it out on MTS.

MTS is set to launch two new handsets in the near future and they're going to be kicking off their "4G" network on March 31st. The two handsets that will be available is the Motorola Spice and the Nokia (6790) Surge. Prices and exact release dates are still unknown but they should be available in the next month or so.

In Canada, MTS should be releasing a new smartphone soon and it'll be the BlackBerry Curve 9300. The most interesting thing about this one is that it'll launch with OS 6.0 on March 31st. The big 3 in Canada already have this smartphone but it launched with OS 5.0 which is RIM's outdated OS. That's good news for MTS! Check it out on MTS.

MTS has just detailed four handsets that they'll be launching soon. This includes the BlackBerry Torch, Bold 9780, and the Nokia C6-00. Yes, they'll also be launching the iPhone 4. MTS in Canada has just officially announced that they're going to be launching a new smartphone "in the coming months" and it'll be the Apple iPhone 4. Of course, we don't know exactly when this will be but it better be soon because "in the coming months" Apple will be announcing the next iPhone. Maybe MTS will be getting their batch of iPhone 4's when the next-gen iPhone is on the way because Apple will need to clear their inventory. Price for this one is unknown right now.

MTS has just released the BlackBerry Style 9670 for $99 if you have access to them in Canada. Of course, at that price you'll be tied down to a lengthy 3-year contract. Other price points are $199.99 on a 2-year contract and $424.99 on a 1-year contract. The smartphone itself has a flip design with a full QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot, WiFi / Bluetooth support, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash, an optical trackpad, and BB OS 6.0 with the new WebKit browser. Canada's MTS has just released yet another handset, the Kyocera Rio. This handset is available right now (here) for free on a 3-year contract, $69.99 on a 2-year contract, and $304.99 contract-free. It's been a while since we've heard about this mid-end handset so I'll recap the specs. It features a 2.8-inch resistive touchscreen display, aGPS, a 1.3MP camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, tri-band CDMA 1x connectivity, a microSD card slot, and the Brew OS.

That's right! A year late, MTS in Canada has released the Motorola Milestone (A854). I wouldn't be surprised if these models are the last shipments or something like that because I doubt that they actually produce these in factories anymore. Over a year late, it looks like the Motorola Milestone (A854) will be hitting MTS in Canada. In case you forgot, this smartphone features a 3.7-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5MP AF camera with a dual-LED flash, a microSD card slot, an ARM A8 600MHz CPU, and Android 2.1. In addition to this news Mobile Syrup has confirmed that this smartphone will be hitting the carrier for $179.99 on a 3-year contract, $279.99 on a 2-year, and $504.99 on a 1-year which is definitely expensive.

If you've been waiting for MTS to release the BlackBerry Bold 9650 then the wait is over. You can now get this smartphone for $149.99 on a 3-year contract, $249.99 on a 2-year contract, $474.99 on a 1-year contract, and $649.99 contract-free. MTS may have launched the Sprint HTC Hero as the HTC 6250 this morning but it looks like they have another handset up their sleeve. The next smartphone they'll be offering is the BlackBerry Bold 9650. The smartphone is being touted as "Coming Soon" but that's all the details we know.

Just because Telus and Bell launched their amazing Android-based handsets doesn't mean that MTS will be left out of the picture. MTS has released their Android handset as well and they're calling it the HTC 6250 which is Sprint USA's HTC Hero. It's been a while since any handset like this has been launched so you'll need a refresher. The HTC 6250 packs a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display with a 320 x 480 resolution, a 5MP AF camera, WiFi b/g / Bluetooth 2.0 support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 512MB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, GPS support, and social networking integration thanks to Android and the Sense UI.

After months of waiting, MTS has released it for $199.99 on a 3-year contract, $299.99 on a 2-year contract, and $524.99 on a 1-year contract. The smartphone has been available in Canada for a while now and it features a 3.25-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2MP AF camera with a flash, WiFi / GPS support, a microSD card slot, and BB OS 5.0. Canada may be getting another version of the HTC Hero, thanks to MTS. On Much Music, the device above was spotted and it's the Sprint HTC Hero that could make its way to Canada sometime in the future. Of course, the handset is pretty outdated at this point but if they slap Android 2.1 on it then it should do for most people.

It's pretty rare for a Sanyo phone to hit North America, but it looks like MTS in Canada managed to scoop one up. The Sanyo 2700 is an entry-level handset and it features a 2.2-inch display, a 1.3MP camera, a non-standard 2.5mm headphone jack, and it's available in pink and blue models.
