The BlackBerry Torch 9810 has hit yet another carrier in Canada and this time it's MTS. The smartphone is available on the carrier right now for $149.99 on a 3-year contract and a whopping $629.99 contract-free which is way too much to pay. MTS To Release the Motorola Spice and the Nokia Surge

MTS is set to launch two new handsets in the near future and they're going to be kicking off their "4G" network on March 31st. In Canada, MTS should be releasing a new smartphone soon and it'll be the BlackBerry Curve 9300. The most interesting thing about this one is that it'll launch with OS 6.0 on March 31st. MTS in Canada has just officially announced that they're going to be launching a new smartphone "in the coming months" and it'll be the Apple iPhone 4. Of course, we don't know exactly when this will be but it better be soon because "in the coming months" Apple will be announcing the next iPhone. Maybe MTS will be getting their batch of iPhone 4's when the next-gen iPhone is on the way because Apple will need to clear their inventory. Price for this one is unknown right now.

MTS has just released the BlackBerry Style 9670 for $99 if you have access to them in Canada. Of course, at that price you'll be tied down to a lengthy 3-year contract. Other price points are $199.99 on a 2-year contract and $424.99 on a 1-year contract. Canada's MTS has just released yet another handset, the Kyocera Rio. This handset is available right now (here) for free on a 3-year contract, $69.99 on a 2-year contract, and $304.99 contract-free. It's been a while since we've heard about this mid-end handset so I'll recap the specs. Over a year late, it looks like the Motorola Milestone (A854) will be hitting MTS in Canada. In case you forgot, this smartphone features a 3.7-inch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5MP AF camera with a dual-LED flash, a microSD card slot, an ARM A8 600MHz CPU, and Android 2.1. MTS Releases Sprint's HTC Hero In Canada, Names It the Plain Old HTC 6250

Just because Telus and Bell launched their amazing Android-based handsets doesn't mean that MTS will be left out of the picture. MTS has released their Android handset as well and they're calling it the HTC 6250 which is Sprint USA's HTC Hero. It's been a while since any handset like this has been launched so you'll need a refresher. The HTC 6250 packs a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display with a 320 x 480 resolution, a 5MP AF camera, WiFi b/g / Bluetooth 2.0 support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 512MB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, GPS support, and social networking integration thanks to Android and the Sense UI.

It's pretty rare for a Sanyo phone to hit North America, but it looks like MTS in Canada managed to scoop one up.
