Motorola Atrix 4G Could Hit AT&T On March 1st, Bell's Sign-Up Page Is Live!

The Motorola Atrix 4G is hitting a few carriers in the next few months. In the US, it's going to AT&T and it's rumoured to be launching on March 1st if you believe the image above which is an internal screenshot. What we do know is that it should be available in a few weeks and will be one of the most powerful handsets on the market. It should be priced at $199 on a 2-year contract. 

Update: According to another Android Central post, it's also going North of the border (we already knew this though), to Canada via Bell. This is actually already up on their website (here) and you can sign up for more information if you want to.



Mid-End Android Samsung Galaxy Mini (S5570) Leaks Before MWC Announcement

Samsung should be unveiling a bunch of high-end devices at MWC in a few weeks but that doesn't mean that they're abandoning the mid-end space. What you see above is dubbed the Galaxy Mini (S5570) and reportedly features a 240 x 320 resolution touchscreen display, Bluetooth 3.0 / WiFi b/g/n support, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.2.1 with the Touchwiz UI. This has actually been certified to launch in China because it just hit their FCC equivalent.

Vodafone UK Lists White BlackBerry Torch As "Coming Soon", Exclusive To the Carrier

If you live in the UK and you've been waiting for the white BlackBerry Torch then you better be able to switch to Vodafone UK. It's up on their website (here) but it's still listed as "Coming Soon". This model will be exclusive to the carrier and ships with OS 6.0 along with the WebKit browser. We don't know exactly when the launch date is, but it should be in the next few weeks.

Alltel Releases the Android-Based LG Axis For $89.99

Alltel in the US has just launched another Android handset. This time it's the LG Axis (called the Apex on other carriers) which sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen display along with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. This is available on the carrier right now for $89.99 on a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate. Other specs include WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 support, a 3.2MP AF camera with an LED flash, a 600MHz CPU, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, 256MB of RAM, aGPS, and Android 2.1. Will you be picking one up?

Nokia X7 With AT&T Logo Leaks Again, Could Launch Soon

Look what has leaked out again, it's the Nokia X7 running Symbian^3 and it definitely has AT&T branding on it. This handset could actually hit AT&T sometime this month but if it doesn't then you can expect it by the end of this quarter - unless things go horribly wrong. The X7 hasn't been officially announced yet but it should during MWC, so maybe the launch will be sometime next month for AT&T.

Specs for this one include a 4-inch display, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash. Maybe it'll be hitting Canada too.

Bell Releases the Mid-End LG Optimus Chic For $249.95 Contract-Free

Right on cue, Bell in Canada has just released the LG Optimus Chic. This handset is available on the carrier right now for free on a 3-year contract and for $249.95 contract-free - as expected. This mid-end Android handset features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with a 320 x 480 resolution, WiFi / Bluetooth 2.1 support, GPS, a 5MP AF camera with a flash, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot (2GB card in the box). BGR Details the BlackBerry Storm 3; 3.7-Inch Display, 5MP HD Recording Cam, and 1.2GHz

BGR is back at it again, this time detailing the BlackBerry Storm 3 from RIM. This handset is said to feature a 1.2GHz CPU, a 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display (480 x 800 resolution), quad-ban GSM/GPRS/EDGE / tri-band UMTS/HSPA connectivity, a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, 8GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR / WiFi b/g/n + UMA, an optical trackpad, a 1,230mAh battery, a magnetometer / accelerometer / proximity sensor, BB OS 6.1, OpenGL ES 2.0, and you'll be able to use it as a 3G mobile hotspot.

This definitely looks like the leaks that we saw a couple of months ago and the specs look pretty good for now. By the time it launches in September of this year, it could be behind though with all of the dual-core CPUs and new innovations from Qualcomm we keep hearing about.

Latest HTC Sync Update Says Another Android Handset Could Be Headed To Verizon

Could this be true? Is what you see above another Android handset from HTC headed to Verizon? Phandroid seems to think so. This device looks similar to the HTC Thunderbolt but it might be a little bit different. You can bet on it having the Sense UI though because it'll definitely be running the Android OS. Who knows if this handset is real right now but maybe it'll be a Honeycomb phone since this handset reportedly doesn't have any buttons. Maybe an MWC announcement?

Next Apple iPad To Launch On April 2nd or 9th?

Coming from MacNotes is word that the next iPad from Apple could be available in early April. Of course, we're expecting the announcement for this tablet in the next few weeks but the launch date - right now - is rumoured to be April 2nd or the 9th. This isn't far-fetched considering Apple's usual yearly scheme of refreshing their products. Rumoured specs so far include dual-cameras, a higher-resolution display, a USB port, a slight design change, and it might not have the 'Home' button that we've all been accustomed to.

Acer Liquid Mini Hits the FCC, Could Hit AT&T In the US

Just announced last week at CES, the Acer Liquid Mini (E310) has just hit the FCC and it has 3G bands capable of running on AT&T in the US and Rogers, Bell, and Telus in Canada (850/1900MHz). Right now we don't know if any of these carriers have agreed to launch this phone yet but let's hope that we find out soon. This handset sports a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 512MB of ROM / RAM, WiFi / Bluetooth support, a 600MHz CPU, a 5MP camera, a microSD card slot, and Android. Check it out at the FCC.
