HTC Merge Shows Up In Best Buy's Systems, Likely Still Delayed

Labels: , , , , , , ,

Yes, an inventory screenshot has just leaked and it's coming from Best Buy (that shouldn't be a surprise considering the number of Nexus S information that leaked today). The Verizon-bound HTC Merge has just popped up which really shouldn't mean much. In case you forgot, this has actually been delayed so that they can cramp in an LTE (4G) radio inside - so that it'll run on the new and upcoming Verizon network.

Samsung's 2011 Flagship Smartphone Leaks; Packs 4.5-Inch Super AMOLED, 1080p Video Recording, and Gingerbread

Labels: , , , , , ,

Oh man! Technology is always expanding and it looks like Samsung's flagship device has just leaked out. This is absolutely insane. Apparently, this will be available in February of next year and will feature the new 4.3 / 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED 2 display, a 1.2GHz CPU, an 8MP AF camera with an LED flash and 1080p HD video recording, 16GB of internal storage, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, 14.4Mbps HSPA connectivity, and Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" (with what looks like Touchwiz). Clearly, it'll be sporting a really thin and "ultra sleek" design. Unfortunately, if the resolution is 480 x 800 then the ppi is pretty low. It looks like this could be the next set of Galaxy phones. Absolutely insane. Engadget points out that this could be making an appearance at MWC 2011.

I can't wait for this so I'll be stuck with my Nexus S whenever it comes out.

Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two Relaunching On Verizon Soon, Without the Data Plans

Labels: , , , ,

Just when you thought the Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two were dead it looks like it'll be making its way to Verizon yet again. The good news here is that you won't need to get those absurd data plans anymore so you can do whatever you want over WiFi. Of course, there are only a few reasons for this. One, because there won't be any CDMA Windows Phone 7 handsets until early 2011 and another reason is because we know Microsoft produced way more phones than they sold so they're just trying to clear inventory. Without the outrageous data plans though, they might actually sell more this time around. The Kin One and Kin Two should be relaunching before the end of this year.

HTC Incredible HD Photo Leaks Running On Verizon's 4G Network

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

I'm kind of bored right now so I've decided to post another photo of the HTC Mecha aka the Incredible HD. We just heard that this smartphone will have LTE (4G) connectivity and that turns out to be true. This one's headed to Verizon, of course, and will also feature the new Sense UI from HTC over top of Android 2.2. From the photo above, I can't really tell if it packs a high-resolution display but we'll just have to wait and see.

Android-Based LG enV Pro Not Cancelled, Just Delayed Until January?

Labels: , , , , ,

Engadget is hearing that the LG enV Pro may not actually be cancelled after all. Apparently, it has just been delayed until January which would be good for the teens because it's an Android phone with a unique design. Hopefully, LG decides to upgrade the OS accordingly but I doubt that it'll actually happen. This will be hitting Verizon, in case you're interested.

Google Nexus S Hits the FCC and WiFi Alliance As the i9020, Leaks In Real Photos; Could Hit Best Buy On November 14th!

Labels: , , , , , ,

Following a bunch of leaks today, the image above is reportedly the first photo of the Google Nexus S. This is definitely real now. Earlier today, another Engadget post also pointed out that this smartphone hit the FCC and the WiFi Alliance as the GT-i9020 (who knows what the i9010 is then). This smartphone features WiFi b/g/n support along with a front-facing camera, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and AWS 3G (perfect for T-Mobile USA and WIND in Canada). Scroll down for just a bit more information!

Update: According to Electronista, the Nexus S could be available at Best Buy in the USA starting on as early as November 14th! Google's changing their approach to the market by having live demo units at various stores across the nation which is great news for everyone!

Update: There are other rumours swirling around that this smartphone actually has the new 4.5-inch AMOLED display from Samsung but I highly doubt it. It doesn't look large enough to feature that type of screen, it's definitely along the lines of 4-inches.

New RIM Entry-Level Slider Rumoured To Be On the Way

Labels: , ,

Apparently, RIM may have yet another slider handset on the way. Specifics aren't known right now besides it being smaller than the Torch but it'll reportedly be cheaper than the Bold line-up and will be an entry-level model. I'm going to assume that it'll be a cross between the Torch and the Pearl - my guess is based off the [fake] mock-up above though so I could definitely be wrong.

Google Nexus Two Aka the Nexus S Briefly Shows Up On Best Buy USA -- First Picture Leaks!

Labels: , , , , , ,

Just in case you thought the Google Nexus Two, aka the Nexus S, was a fake or non-existent smartphone than Best Buy USA has just proved you wrong. A dead pre-order link on their website has mentioned that a "Pure Google" Nexus S will be available exclusively through Best Buy this holiday season. Of course, this isn't exactly confirmation of the smartphone but, of course, I'm crossing my fingers. What's unconfirmed is if this device will still launch later this year, so we'll have to wait around for more information.

Update: Engadget has just caught another slip up by Best Buy. If you take a look at Best Buy Mobile's "In Store" online flier (here) you'll see the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the Dell Streak, headphones, a casing, and an unannounced smartphone that's running stock Android. Engadget points out that this could very well be the first photo of the Google Nexus S! What a scoop!

Labels: , , , , , ,

There's a new rumour going around regarding a new Android tablet from Dell. This MID / tablet is going by the codename "Opus One" for now - similar to the Motorola i1 when we first heard about it but it's hard to get them confused. The Dell "Opus One" will be the successor to the Streak with a 5-inch display and, apparently, a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU along with a display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution. These specs are just rumoured for the time being. It's said that this will hit the market in March 2011, hopefully it's true.
