HTC Tablet / Smartphone To Have 1080p Recording and HSPA+ By Spring 2011

It won't look like the photo above but HTC is prepping an Android tablet for the future. Apparently though, it may actually just be a large smartphone, but it'll reportedly record 1080p video which is truly impressive. This tablet / smartphone will also feature 5.1-channel surround sound output thanks to a Yamaha chipset. HTC smartphones are expected to record 1080p Full HD video by Spring in 2011 and they'll have HSPA+ 14.4Mbps.

White BlackBerry Bold 9700 Hitting T-Mobile USA On May 5th

The white BlackBerry Bold 9700 looks like it'll hit the US, thanks to T-Mobile. The picture states that it'll hit retailers on May 5th and now all we need to know is the price. The black model is going for $129.99 on a 2-year contract so it should launch for the same price.

Ten Devices On Canada's Rogers Gets a Price Drop!!

A couple of phones on Canada's Rogers has just gone through a price drop today. They're all listed below so I won't even bother listing it myself - thanks to Mobile Syrup. All of this great news is accompanied by the ZTE 636 and the Sony Ericsson MD 400 Rocket Sticks which will retail for free on a 1-year contract from now until May 1st, 2010.

Toshiba Set To Launch One Windows 7 Tablet and An Android One As Well

Although it may not look like the photo above, Toshiba is set to launch a couple of tablets. One will be running Windows 7 while the other one will be running Android. The Windows model is supposedly going to have a beefier spec sheet than the Android one and it could feature things like a dual-display. The Android model will be on par with the iPad and it'll feature an inexpensive price tag as well as a 10-inch touchscreen display. These tablets could launch late this year or early in 2011. I still don't find the need for tablets - but that's just me.

US Cellular To Launch the BlackBerry Bold 9650 In the Future

US Cellular looks like they're going to launch the HTC Desire, but it looks like they could be prepping to launch the BlackBerry Bold 9650 as well. This smartphone will pack things like WiFi, the BB OS 5.0, and an optical trackpad. It's a traditional BlackBerry so there's nothing inside that should surprise you. This rebate form is valid from April 16th to July 15th.

LG GT540 To Be Named the Optimus, It'll Be Running Android 2.1

BenQ Unveils Five GL Series Monitors, Boasting 12m:1 (Dynamic) Contrast Ratio

BenQ has just unveiled a monitor with a 12,000,000:1 contrast ratio, but it's dynamic so who really cares. This new monitor is a part of their new GL Series and it consists of various sizes: 18.5 (GL930), 19 (GL931), 20 (GL2030), 21.5 (GL2230), and 22-inch (GL2231). They're all boasting LED-backlit displays, VGA / DVI ports, audio inputs, and two built-in 1W speakers. It's sporting a usual BenQ look and the 20-inch GL2030 should be available really soon. The other models will be launching this July; the prices for every model hasn't been mentioned yet.

Lenovo To Launch "Green" ThinkPad Notebooks On April 22nd

Lenovo looks like they could be launching new ThinkPad notebooks on Earth Day, April 22nd. It's clearly hinting at it in this crossword above with all of the talk of going green. More specifically, these notebooks could be the L400 and the L500 that was on the leaked Lenovo slide that popped up in February. Let's just hope they're sporting some Intel Core 2010 CPU options.

Compal Making a 4-Inch Nokia Smartphone? Set For H2 2011 Launch?

Nokia is reportedly working on a 4-inch smartphone or mini tablet if that's what you want to call it. This smartphone is set to launch with Maemo and it should have support for OpenGL ES 2.0. Compal is reportedly making this handset for Nokia but it won't hit the market until the last half of 2011, which is definitely a long wait. The CPU is said to be part of a Qualcomm 7000-Series chipset and could be the "tablet" that Fishlabs was talking about yesterday. Even though it states that this device will run Maemo it'll probably end up with MeeGo.

LG P950 To Run Android and WVGA Resolution Display

LG is working on a new handset, named the P950, and it looks like it could be running Android with a nice WVGA (480 x 800) resolution display. Obviously, this means it'll be a touchscreen phone, but that's all that was hinted at. Maybe this is the Aloha handset, but we don't know for sure.

TVLogic Shows Off 56-Inch LUM-560W TV With 4K x 2K Resolution At NAB

TVLogic has unveiled yet another HDTV at NAB 2010 and this one's the LUM-560W which sports a 56-inch display with a whopping 3,840 x 2,160 resolution. It also sports a 10-bit panel, a 1,500:1 contrast ratio, a colour calibrator utility, four HDMI ports, four DVI-D ports, and four 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs and outputs. The release date or price isn't mentioned but I can bet my life that it costs a whole lot.

LG KM570 Hitting Europe As the Cookie Music

We heard about it a couple of weeks ago and LG has pretty much made it official. The LG KM570 will be launched as the Cookie Music and it's headed to Europe with Adobe Flash Lite 3.0. This handset packs a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, a 5MP camera, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 support, an FM radio, and the S-Class UI. It should hit the market soon, but the price shouldn't be all that expensive.

Next-Generation iPhone Gets Leaked Out In a Couple of Photos? -- Fake

Apparently, the iPhone 4G or iPhone HD has just popped up today in a couple of new photos. It looks like it's sporting the iPad look, but obviously a lot smaller. None of the pictures show the front of the iPhone, so maybe it's packing a slightly larger display along with a front-facing camera. Keep in mind that these pictures could be fake, but it's sporting a unibody aluminum backing.

Update: According to Mobile Crunch, these photos are actually fake. Oh well.

Fujitsu Japan Unveils Their Coloured E-Book Reader Prototype

In Japan, Fujitsu has just unveiled their latest e-book reader prototype which is sporting an ultra-slim body along with a coloured display. This FLEPia prototype sports a touchscreen, WiFi support, an SD card slot, a USB 2.0 port, and Windows CE with a custom UI. With the WiFi on, the battery life reportedly lasts around 50 hours which is pretty amazing.

Meizu M9 To Run Android 2.1, That's All We Know

Meizu has just unveiled the M9, which is their latest iPhone clone. The specs weren't mentioned but we know that it will run Android 2.1. The rumoured specs popped up in January, but who knows if they'll turn out to be true. If you want to reminisce on that, go and check it out here.

Verizon and HTC Make the DROID Incredible Official; Pre-Orders On April 19, Hitting Shelves April 29

We already know the DROID Incredible's full specification sheet, so I don't really need to go over them. Verizon and HTC has officially announced that the pre-orders for the DROID Incredible will start on April 19th and it'll be available starting on April 29th for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. It's going to cost $599.99 contract-free.

Canada's Rogers Releases the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 For $149.99

It looks like Rogers has just released the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and you can get it in Sensuous Black or Luster White. You can get it for $149.99 (promo) on a 3-year contract, $449.99 on a 2-year contract, $499.99 on a 1-year contract, or for $549.99 contract-free.

This handset is the best to hit Canada - spec-wise - and it packs a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 480 x 854 resolution, an 8.1MP AF camera with an LED flash, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, 1GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, and Android 1.6. Let's hope it gets an upgrade to version 2.1 over the next couple of weeks / months. Check it out on Rogers here.

SK Telecom Releases the LG SU420, First DMB 2.0 Phone

The LG SU420 has just been announced in Korea and it's actually the first DMB 2.0 handset, which means you can watch TV, video on demand, listen to the radio, and surf the web all at the same time. The handset itself packs a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen display, WiFi / DivX support, Dolby Mobile, and Bluetooth. This handset is now available on SK Telecom, so you can get one right now if you want to.

Asus Eee PC 1201PN and Acer Aspire One 532G Netbooks Pop Up On France E-Tailer

It looks like two new netbooks with the next-generation Ion graphics have just surfaced on an online store in France. The Asus Eee PC 1201PN netbook is reportedly set to launch on May 1st, while the Acer Aspire One 532G netbook is set to launch on May 14th. They're looking to retail for €369 ($504 USD) and €499 ($681 USD), respectively.

The 1201PN (here) packs a 12.1-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, 2GB of RAM, an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz CPU, a 320GB HDD, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, an HDMI port, and a 6-cell battery. The 532G (here) packs pretty much the same specs, but has a smaller 10.1-inch LED-backlit display..
