Samsung (r330) Stride Hits US Cellular For $29.95

US Cellular has just released the Samsung (r330) Stride for just $29.95 on a 2-year contract. This handset is clearly a flip phone and it packs some entry-level specs, such as: a 1.3MP webcam, Bluetooth support, and 55MB of internal storage. Check it out on US Cellular's website here.

MSI Showing Off a Bunch of Tablets At Computex, Android and Windows 7 Variants

Computex this June is definitely something to keep your eye out for. MSI will be debuting a bunch of their upcoming tablets that will come in both 8.9 and 10-inch sizes. These are expected to hit the market in Q3 of this year and they'll be running either Android or Windows 7. The more exciting news is that the dual-screen tablet of theirs is geared up for a Q4 launch and they're working on improving the battery life for it. It's running a Menlow CPU right now but it's only getting three hours of battery life which is definitely not enough.

LG GW990 Looks Like It Won't Be Hitting the Market, Was Just a Proof Of Concept

Sad, sad news for those of you waiting for the LG GW990 "smartphone". It won't be hitting the market since it was intended that it was just a proof of concept. That means that it won't be released in the second half of this year. The handset was running Moblin, but we already know that it will continue on to become MeeGo. Inside of this smartphone was an Intel Moorestown Atom CPU that might find its way into some smartbooks / netbooks / MIDs.

7-Inch Sony Dash Tablet Now Available For $199

We already knew this was on the way and now the Sony Dash is actually available for you to purchase. This tablet is going for $199 and it's sporting a 7-inch touchscreen display and would be your perfect bedside companion. It has access to the Internet (obviously) and has widgets for CBS, Netflix, Pandora, etc. You can order this on their website (here) if you're interested.

Acer Set To Unveil A Whole Family of MIDs Next Month

It looks like Acer will start to unveil a part of their upcoming "full line" of MIDs sometime next month (May). The patent photo above was filed in January 2009 so this is a long time coming. There aren't any specification rumours right now but these MIDs will be running on Acer's own Shell UI 4.0, which is likely based on Windows Mobile. You can bet on a bunch of them being at Computex this June.

Nokia Unveils the X2 Music Phone With 5MP Camera For Cheap

Nokia has just unveiled their latest inexpensive music phone, the X2. This handset is packing a 5MP fixed-focus camera with video recording so it's a good phone for starters. It also has a 2.2-inch QVGA display, social integration, stereo speakers, music keys, an FM radio with RDS, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSDHC card slot. This handset is expected to launch in June for just €85 ($113 USD) and it'll be available in the two colours you see above.

HTC DROID Incredible Sells Out In Two Hours, New Orders Shipping May 4th

If you're looking to get the HTC DROID Incredible that's available on Verizon's site right now then there's some bad news. It's actually sold out right now. The new orders will begin to ship on May 4th so it's only about a week delay. Apparently, when the DROID Incredible went live this morning it sold out in around 2 hours.

Update: According to the commenter below (thanks Ariana), if you call Verizon they'll actually still offer you one. This deal may not last long so call in if you have the time!

LG (GS290) Cookie Fresh Hitting the UK Soon

It looks like LG (GS290) Cookie Fresh will be hitting people in the UK thanks to Vodafone, Virgin, Phones4u, and Tesco. This handset packs a WQVGA touchscreen display, Bluetooth 2.1 support, an FM tuner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 2MP camera, and a microSD card slot. The price wasn't mentioned, but it should be inexpensive. It should be available really soon.

Asus Eee PC 1218 Netbook Wins a Red Dot Design Award, Sporting Thin Aluminum Body

Although we know just about nothing about it we know that Asus has an Eee PC 1218 netbook up their sleeve. It hasn't been officially unveiled yet but it has somehow just won a Red Dot Design award. It definitely looks like a pretty sleek netbook with its aluminum body which is quite thin. Specs are still unknown but I'm thinking that they'll leak out before Computex in June.

iPhone (4G / HD) To Get 5MP Camera Sensors From LG Innotek

So, the iPhone 3GS packs a 3.2MP camera, so it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone if the next-gen iPhone (4G / HD) has a 5MP sensor. Of course, it should also pack a front-facing camera but that's not what we're talking about. The 5MP sensor on the back is supposedly being supplied by LG Innotek according to a couple of sources. We'll find out more in June at Apple's WWDC.

Samsung N150 Netbook Gets Spotted With Verizon 3G Capabilities

On Samsung's own US site (here) a new model has just been spotted for their N150 netbook. The new model sports 3G connectivity that's capable of running on Verizon's network. Does this mean that Verizon will be launching it in the future subsidized? We're not sure, so we'll have to wait and see.
