Nokia X2 On Its Way To Fido In Canada

Labels: , , ,

Fido looks like they're set to release another Nokia device. Mobile Syrup has mentioned that the Nokia X2 is headed to the carrier in the future. This handset is said to pack a 2.4-inch display, a 2MP camera, a QWERTY keyboard, and the Symbian OS. It could be launching next week for around $100 contract-free so it's a cheap one.

Rogers To Release the Nokia X2, HTC Salsa Headed To Canada Too

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

We heard about it just a few days ago and now we know that the QWERTY-packing Nokia X2-01 will be hitting Rogers. The Canadian carrier should be launching it soon but the price is still unknown. It could be on their prepaid line-up but that's unconfirmed right now.

Yet another handset is headed North of the border and it'll be the HTC Salsa. This handset was officially announced earlier this year and has Facebook integration along with the Android OS. The handset features a 3.4-inch display, a microSD card slot, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash, a front-facing camera, an 800MHz CPU, and Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" with the Sense UI. It's unknown which carrier will be getting this one right now.

T-Mobile To Release the Pre-Paid Nokia X2 On February 16th

Labels: , , ,

TMoNews has just gotten new information regarding a new Nokia device headed to, well, T-Mobile USA. It's going to be the Nokia X2 (X2-01) which will be available starting on February 16th on their pre-paid line-up. This one features a 2.4-inch display, a QWERTY keyboard, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 support, a VGA camera, Stereo FM radio with RDS, and the Symbian OS. Sadly, this pre-paid device is missing both WiFi and 3G support so it's an EDGE-only device. Price is still unknown right now but it should be leaked or officially announced soon.

Nokia X2-01 Could Be Hitting North America, Says Bluetooth SIG

Labels: , , , ,

It looks like the Nokia X2-01 has a shot of hitting North America according to some Bluetooth SIG and FCC filings. The first one is the RM-709 (here) and the second one is the RM-717 (here) which could be the North American model. This should be a cheap one since the FCC filing (here) has quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity but does not have support for 3G. Specs for this handset include a 2.4-inch display, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 (no WiFi) support, a VGA camera, an FM radio with RDS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Nokia Officially Announces the C2-01 and X2-01, Both Cheap and Hitting Europe Soon

Labels: , , ,

Nokia has just introduced two new budget handsets, the C2-01 and the X2-01. First up is the C2-01 (above) which is the company's cheapest 3G handset to date. It has quad-band GSM/EDGE / tri-band connectivity, a 2-inch display (240 x 320 resolution), a 3.2MP camera, an FM radio, and Bluetooth 2.1 support. This one will be available for just €70 ($96 USD), which is a pretty good deal if you're still into the candybar style.

The other handset that the company announced that they're bringing to Europe is pictured below, the X2-01. This one packs a QWERTY keyboard and features a 2.4-inch display, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GSM/EDGE connectivity, a microSD card slot, an FM radio with RDS, and Bluetooth 2.1. The sad part about this one is that it's quite similar to the Nokia C3, but this doesn't have WiFi. This will be available before the end of the year for €80 ($109 USD).

Nokia X2-01 Is Another Entry-Level QWERTY Handset From the Company

Labels: ,

Yet another QWERTY handset from Nokia is on the way and it's the X2-01. This handset is sporting a QVGA display, Bluetooth support, an FM radio, and a microSD card slot. This is quite similar to the Nokia C3 but should be cheaper since it's missing a few key components. Compared to the Nokia C3, the X2-01 has no WiFi support and a 3MP camera (the C3 has a 2MP camera). Release date is unknown right now but it should be quite affordable.

Nokia X2 Hits the FCC, Perfect For North America

Labels: , , ,

The Nokia X2 seems to have been spotted at the FCC (filing here). This model seems to be perfect for AT&T in the US and Bell, Rogers, and Telus in Canada since it has GSM / EDGE connectivity. The specs aren't surprising since we already know them. In case you forgot, it has a 2.2-inch QVGA display, Stereo Bluetooth support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an FM radio, a 5MP camera with an LED flash, a microSD card slot, the Opera Mini browser, and the S40 UI.

In related news, this handset will be available in India this June for €85 ($110 USD).

Possible Picture Of the Nokia X9 Leaks, Probably Not -- CEO Hints at Snapdragon Phone

Labels: , ,

This concept picture appears to be making the rounds and the latest rumour states that this is the Nokia X9 - which I don't believe in the slightest. The rumour states that this handset will be packing a 3.7-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, a 12MP camera with an LED flash and 720p video recording capabilities, an HDMI port, 32GB of internal storage, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU, social integration, and Symbian^4. I don't believe that this will be what the X9 looks like - if there's a such thing - but whatever.

Update: According to Gizmodo, Nokia's own CEO hinted at a Snapdragon phone, which isn't surprising since we've heard about this before.

Update: According to Unwired View, the Nokia X2 is coming soon as well. The X2 is going to be a low-end handset that will feature Bluetooth and quad-band GSM connectivity. Nokia hasn't officially announced this handset yet.
