Nokia C2-06 Prototype Leaks In India, Low-End Slider

Labels: , ,

It looks like a prototype of Nokia's upcoming C2-06 handset has just leaked out somewhere in India. The display is said to be sport a resistive touchscreen, so hopefully they change that to capacitive before they release it. Sadly, this one's a low-end slider with no WiFi or 3G support so it should be fairly cheap to get unlocked. However, it does have Bluetooth support but that's just about the only positives for this one. Price is unknown yet but it's running S40 6th Edition.

Nokia C1-01 and C2-02 On Its Way To Orange UK

Labels: , , , ,

Two new phones from Nokia look like they're going to hit Orange UK. It's the C1-01 and the C2-01 and they're low and mid-end handsets, respectively. They're both candybar phones and the C1-01 features a 1.8-inch display, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a VGA camera, and a microSD card slot; unfortunately, it doesn't have 3G support. The C2-01, on the other hand, features a 2-inch QVGA display, Bluetooth 2.1 support, Stereo FM radio, a 3.2MP camera, and a microSD card slot. This one is actually Nokia's cheapest 3G handset and it was announced a few months ago, in November. Release dates are unknown right now but both of them should be fairly cheap. Check them out here and here, respectively.

Nokia Officially Announces the C2-01 and X2-01, Both Cheap and Hitting Europe Soon

Labels: , , ,

Nokia has just introduced two new budget handsets, the C2-01 and the X2-01. First up is the C2-01 (above) which is the company's cheapest 3G handset to date. It has quad-band GSM/EDGE / tri-band connectivity, a 2-inch display (240 x 320 resolution), a 3.2MP camera, an FM radio, and Bluetooth 2.1 support. This one will be available for just €70 ($96 USD), which is a pretty good deal if you're still into the candybar style.

The other handset that the company announced that they're bringing to Europe is pictured below, the X2-01. This one packs a QWERTY keyboard and features a 2.4-inch display, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GSM/EDGE connectivity, a microSD card slot, an FM radio with RDS, and Bluetooth 2.1. The sad part about this one is that it's quite similar to the Nokia C3, but this doesn't have WiFi. This will be available before the end of the year for €80 ($109 USD).

Nokia Unveils Four Low-End Handsets, C1 and C2 To Feature Dual-SIM Card Slots

Labels: , ,

Nokia has just unveiled four new phones as a part of their C-Series line-up and they're all pretty standard phones. The first one (above) is the Nokia C1 (C1-00) which features an FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a flashlight, and a dual-SIM card slot. This will be available in Q3 of this year for just €30 ($39 USD).

Next up is the Nokia C2 (C2-00) which also features a dual-SIM card slot along with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a VGA camera, an FM radio, and a microSD card slot. This handset will reportedly be available late this year for €45 ($55 USD). Sadly, this handset isn't anything like the C2 that everyone was hoping for. On May 1st, we heard that the C2 would have a unique rotating QWERTY keyboard - you can check out that post here. Hopefully that handset lives to see the day of light though.

The handset you see above is the Nokia C1-01 - thanks for making things even more confusing Nokia - and it'll be available in Q4 of this year for €39 ($47 USD). This will come in a bunch of different colours and will not feature dual-SIM card slots.

The last one is the Nokia C1-02 which, again, doesn't feature a dual-SIM card slot. This handset also doesn't have a camera and will be available in Q4 for €35 ($43 USD).

Nokia C2 Shows Its Unique Rotating QWERTY Keyboard In a Better Picture

Labels: ,

These are better pictures of the Nokia C2 which sports the S60 OS along with the unique rotating QWERTY keyboard. It also has a 3.2MP camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and there's a T9 keypad when it's not rotated. Of course, it's not exactly standard since it's got 4 columns but it's a sacrifice you have to make.

Nokia C2 Leaks Out Sporting Unique Rotation Feature To Reveal QWERTY Keyboard

Labels: ,

Apparently, the Nokia C2 has just been leaked on an Italian website (here). This handset is said to pack a 2MP camera, a 240 x 320 resolution display, and a unique rotation feature to unveil the QWERTY keyboard. As you can see, the photo above clearly shows that there's a front-facing camera on the front. I don't know exactly how this handset will work, but maybe we'll find out in the near future.
