It looks like WIND Mobile's phone line-up is about to expand with a Nokia phone running the obsolete Symbian^3 OS. It's going to be the Nokia C7 which sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a 360 x 640 resolution display, an 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash, WiFi / Bluetooth support, and a microSD card slot. The price hasn't been leaked yet but Mobile Syrup has mentioned that it could be $350 contract-free.

Asus U30S Notebook Spotted With Intel "Sandy Bridge" CPUs

Labels: , , , , ,

A new notebook from Asus has just been spotted in Europe and it looks like it's the U30S. This notebook is said to be sporting Intel Core i5-2410M (Sandy Bridge) CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, Nvidia's GeForce GT520M GPU, Optimus tech, an 8-cell battery, and Windows 7. The notebook should be pretty great when it actually gets released - whenever that is. Joanna Stern from Engadget has mentioned that it looks exactly like the U30Jc that she reviewed. Pretty awesome stuff, let's hope the price is right!

Alienware M14x and M18x Leak, Sporting "Sandy Bridge" and Top-Of-the-Line GPUs

Labels: , , , ,

Alienware is looking like they're almost set to launch M14x and M18x notebooks to various parts of the world. Notebook Italia got these photos and they look traditional Alienware style. Specs aren't confirmed right now but they'll, of course, be sporting 14 and 18-inch displays, respectively. Both of them should have options for Intel "Sandy Bridge" CPUs along with powerful GPUs for some hardcore gaming. The larger behemoth model is said to sport a 1080p (Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 resolution) display along with two AMD Radeon HD 6870M GPUs in CrossFire or dual GeForce GTX 460M GPUs in SLI. Beastly stuff. The smaller model should have options for AMD Radeon HD 6730M / 6770M GPUs along with GeForce GT 555M. Prices and release dates are still TBA.

Staples Leak Shows A Bunch of Tablets Coming This Year; 8.9-Inch Samsung, 10-Inch HTC, 7-Inch HP, and More!

Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Wow, another huge Staples leak has just been spotted and it's coming from their training guide - the one below is coming from a "major retailer" as well, but it could also be Staples. If this isn't the year of the tablets then I don't know what is. The leak shows several tablets that'll be launching this year. We'll just go in order starting with the Motorola XOOM which could be launching this week (March 17th) for $649; it's looking like this one will be the WiFi-only model. Next up is RIM's BlackBerry Playbook which could be launching on March 27th for $499 (16GB), $599 (32GB), and $699 (64GB). Keep in mind that this date might have moved to April. There's also word on the 7-inch Dell Streak 7 which will be launching in late March / April as well; price for that one should be $449 as well - it's already available on T-Mobile.

Now, for the coming soon tablets we have a bunch of them running on Android "Honeycomb" which is great news. We have the 8.9-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab which should be announced next week, the Dell Streak 10, a 10-inch Acer, and a 10-inch Toshiba. It's unknown what the 10-inch Acer tablet will be but it could be the Eee Pad EP101TC, which is a complete guess. The 10-inch Toshiba has been teased by them since January but they have yet to make it official. There's also word on a 10-inch HTC Android "Honeycomb" tablet that's on the way. This one hasn't been announced yet but I'm definitely looking forward to it!

Last, but definitely not least there's word on the 10-inch HP Touchpad running on the next version of webOS along with an unannounced 7-inch model. This will likely get announced at the company's next event which is in a few weeks. Amazing stuff!

Labels: , , , , ,

Sprint has just announced that it'll be releasing the Kyocera Echo and its dual-display madness on April 17th for $199.99 on a 2-year contract. Yeah, that's a bit much to pay but for two screens that seems like a good enough price. The handset itself packs two 3.5-inch WVGA displays, a 5MP camera, a microSD card slot (8GB card included), and Android 2.2 with a custom UI. Pre-orders kick off of March 26th if you're willing to pay up early.

Motorola i1x / i1q Hits the FCC, On Its Way To Nextel

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

A not-so-new Motorola handset has been spotted lounging around at the FCC HQ and it's the i1x / i1q. We've already seen this handset in the wild before, sporting a QWERTY keyboard, and it was sporting Nextel branding so that's where it's headed. Of course, it could hit other carriers as well but that's one of them. It's similar to the company's DROID Pro, this one's just a bit lower end. Check it out at the FCC.

Samsung Infuse 4G Hits the FCC, On Its Way To AT&T and Possibly Rogers

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

A new and large Samsung smartphone has just hit the FCC and it's the HSPA+ capable Infuse 4G which is rocking the SGH-i997 model number. Let's hope it gets announced by AT&T soon because we already know that it's headed there. It could also hit the North of the border as well - possibly Rogers. The Infuse 4G packs a 1.2GHz CPU, a microSD card slot, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, an 8MP AF camera with an LED flash and Full HD 1080p video recording, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and Android with the Touchwiz UI. Keep in mind that Engadget heard that the Infuse would actually be sporting a 4.3-inch display - down from 4.5-inches - because the display might not be ready for mainstream yet. Check it out at the FCC.
