Motorola Motus Pictured Clearly, Headed to AT&T With MOTOBLUR

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

Ahh, he's a crisper photo of the Motorola (MB300) Motus / Backflip / Enzo. This handset looks a bit like the CLIQ and will actually be hitting AT&T to be one of their Android handsets. Motorola has put on their MOTOBLUR skin over top of Android (1.5) on this device, so that's a pretty good thing. At this point we know that this handset features: a 3.1-inch touchscreen display with a 320 x 480 resolution, a Qualcomm MSM7201A 528MHz CPU (yuck!), 512MB of ROM, 256MB of RAM, WiFi / GPS / Bluetooth 2.0 support, and quad-band GSM connectivity. The handset is rocking a "unique" hinge, but we have yet to see it in action.

Update: Apparently, the "unique" part of this is that you'll still be able to use the screen when the screen is "closed." The keyboard will actually be the back of the handset (when closed) and, yes, that is a bit hard to picture (but it's below). In the picture you can clearly see that the 5MP camera is in the bottom left corner of the keyboard.

Dubbed EeeBots, they are "intended to serve as an educational tool for young children to interact with." Unfortunately, these robots aren't scheduled to be in production for another two years so mankind can chill out for now.

Tech Crunch has stated that these Google-branded netbooks will be released in the second half of 2010. The hardware for this netbook will be from a "secret" manufacturer, but we don't know who yet. Nvidia Ion 2 Set For Q1 2010 Release, Big Unveiling At CES 2010

Labels: , , , ,

Obviously, Nvidia's Ion 2 chipset will not be hitting netbooks by the end of this year since there's only 2 weeks left. According to Nvidia themselves, the next Ion will be capable of pushing your netbook to at least 5 hours of battery life and it'll also be "5-10x faster than Pinetrail Atom graphics." Of course, they're comparing it with the integrated graphics, but it's still pretty impressive. Ion 2 will find its way into netbooks near you in Q1 2010, and you'll see some unveiling at CES 2010.

More Samsung Bada Photos; Less Android and S60, More TouchWiz

Labels: ,

GSM Arena Blog leaked the first batch of Samsung Bada photos and they've leaked yet another batch. These two pictures look more TouchWiz-like, whereas the first batch looked to be a bit more Android and S60-like. It doesn't reveal much, but it's definitely exciting to see another open-source OS come out.
