T-Mobile Expects To Release Android Handsets From 3 Different Manufacturers This Year

Labels: , , , , , , , , ,

Cole Brodman, T-Mobile's CTO, has mentioned that there will be 3 different manufacturers to launch an Android handset before the end of this year. We know that HTC and Samsung are already releasing their Android handsets before the end of the year, so who could the third "partner" be? Could it be Motorola with their Calgary or could it be that Huawei handset? To me, it doesn't really matter which device it is because they are both awesome in their own way. We'll just have to wait and see what T-Mobile releases later this year. It's really something to get excited about.

HTC Magic / MyTouch 3G Gets A 5MP Camera

Well, that's according to the picture you see here. The very lost phone - naming wise - looks like it is spotted with a 5MP camera in this picture. Since the branding on the phone does say T-Mobile it could be hitting the US as the MyTouch 3G with a 5MP camera. We'll see what happens in the near future. It's only a matter of time for this to be officially announced. It's between a 3.2MP and a 5MP camera, so it's a toss-up. On a side note, I hope us Canadians get the 5MP model, but I have a feeling we won't.

T-Mobile G1 V2 In October For $148 At Your Nearest Wal-Mart

Yes, that is right. And if you don't like the look of the T-Mobile G1 then this could be the phone for you. The T-Mobile G1 v2 aka Bigfoot aka "Morrison" will be available this October for $148 USD at Wal-Mart. As you can see in the picture, the G1 v2 will have an "HTC-style" slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which I'm absolutely loving. Hmm, so it's running Android, has a QWERTY keyboard, and has a touchscreen. Sounds right for me.
