Bell and Virgin To Release the HTC Wildfire S In Canada

Labels: , , , , , ,

We already know that Bell will be releasing the HTC Wildfire S soon and it looks like Mobile Syrup has just heard just how much it'll cost you. They mention that it'll be available for $249.95 contract-free and it could launch on June 1st, but that's unconfirmed right now. The Wildfire S is a pretty good mid-end handset which features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 5MP camera with an LED flash, a 600MHz CPU, WiFi support and hotspot capabilities, and Android 2.3 with the Sense UI.

Update: Another Mobile Syrup post has just mentioned that Virgin Mobile will release this one as well.

Sony Refreshes VAIO S and F Notebooks With Core i7 CPUs

Labels: , , ,

Sony has just refreshed their VAIO S and F Series notebooks and they're definitely packing some fine horsepower now. Both notebooks can now house an Intel Core i7 CPU which should be enough for your gaming sessions. The VAIO S features a 13.3-inch display with a 1,600 x 900 resolution, an AMD Radeon HD 6630 GPU, an optional SSD, and up to 15 hours of battery life if you choose the "slice" battery. You can pre-order this one right now and it starts at $1,350.

The VAIO F, on the other hand, features a 16.4-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) display, a Nvidia GeForce GT 540M GPU, up to 750GB of storage, a backlit keyboard, USB 3.0 ports, an HD webcam, and S-Force Front Surround 3D tech with Dolby Home Theater v3 support. This notebook starts at $1,100 which isn't too bad and it's cheaper than the VAIO S.
