Telus' BlackBerry Tour, HTC Snap / Touch Pro 2 Show Up in Best Buy Mobile Flyer

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

A Best Buy flyer valid from July 3rd to July 30th has just shown up and it leaks out 3 new future Telus handsets: the BlackBerry Tour, HTC Snap, and the HTC Touch Pro 2. It looks like the HTC Touch Pro 2 will definitely be available before Christmas, but I wasn't expecting it so early, since the employee hinted at a Q4 release. Oh well, this is good news then! Although, the picture of the HTC Touch Pro 2 in the flyer doesn't look like it slides up with the angle that it's supposed to.

New iPod Touch 3G Casing Reveals A Camera?

Labels: , ,

According to the above photo, that's what it looks like. Could the next iPod Touch have a camera? I hope so, and it would also fit the rumours we've heard about in the past. It's always a possibility that the 3rd generation iPod Touch could have a camera and it would be pretty awesome. I might just have to scoop one up if this happens. The next iPod Touch is rumoured to be available this Fall, so we'll find out in a couple of months.

Update on July 6: According to Electronista, Apple is ordering cameras for all of their iPods. Yes, that includes the tiny little iPod Shuffle. It's still unconfirmed at this time, but by the end of the year we could see the iPod Touch, iPod Nano, and even the iPod Shuffle with a built-in camera.

HTC Dream / HTC Magic Get a Price Drop in Canada on Rogers, Now $99.99

Labels: , , ,

Rogers has just cut the price of the HTC Dream and the HTC Magic to $99.99 CAD, slashing $50 off of the original price. These 2 smartphones have been on Rogers for just over a month and they've already cut the prices, so what's going on Rogers? Apparently, they want to make it easier for people to pick up this smartphone and because they're just not selling a lot of them. With all the advertisements I see on TV about both of these smartphones, I'm actually a little bit surprised that no one has gone out to buy them. Then again, people up here don't know good products when it's right in front of their faces.

Pictures of the Samsung Glyde 2 Emerge

Labels: , , ,

This pretty much confirms that the Samsung SCH-U960 aka Glyde 2 will be making its way to Verizon Wireless, but we already knew that before. The sad thing is only these pictures surfaced today, so we still don't know the specs of this handset. To be honest, I think it looks pretty damn sexy. The style reminds me a bit of the Samsung B7610 Louvre, but it's not a bad thing. Electronista points out that they added an extra row to the keyboard and that the screen is larger than the original Glyde. With these new pictures surfacing my Q3 September guess could be a little bit off, it could be earlier!

Update: I forgot that some of the specs were outlined back in early April, so you can check them out here! Let's hope the Glyde 2 is much, much better than the original Glyde. I heard the first Glyde had a bunch of problems. I hope Samsung has ironed them out by now.

Update on July 18: The Samsung Glyde 2 has gotten its official name changed to the Samsung Rogue U960 and is rumoured to be available as early as next month - on Verizon. Check it out here.

Update on July 19: According to the latest rumour, this handset is expected to be available next month (August) on Verizon. For more information, check out this link.

Update on July 30: It looks like Verizon will launch this phone on August 15th.
