Labels: , , ,

CES 2010 is going to be a big event. Shuttle plans to make a tiny splash at the event, by introducing a new all-in-one PC with a touchscreen display and Intel's Pine Trail Atom. We don't know any specs about this PC yet, but they're set to do the big unveiling in January.

Toshiba NB300 Spied At the FCC With Pine Trail and Qualcomm Gobi Chipset

Labels: , , , ,

Well, another Pine Trail-based Atom netbook has just been spotted at the FCC. This one will be named the Toshiba NB300 and will feature a 10.1-inch display, stereo speakers, and the Qualcomm Gobi 2000 wireless chipset (so there's integrated 3G connectivity). Unfortunately, we don't know other specs of this netbook. According to the picture above though, there's enough room for a 6-cell battery without protruding from the back. The FCC filing is here.

WIND Mobile's Pricing Plans Get Leaked, Looking Pretty Scrumptious

Labels:

On HowardForums last night, my friend linked me to the WIND Mobile price plans, and this morning Boy Genius has reported them. The pricing plans are below, and thankfully they have been cleared to launch whenever they are ready. Both Bell and Telus are upset about this and Rogers is welcoming the competition. Ironically enough, Rogers' stock dropped the most yesterday, but I digress. I'm excited for the WIND launch, but I'm hoping that they have more plans available because not everyone wants to pay for unlimited data.

AT&T Releases the HP iPAQ Glisten For $180, Only Available Online For Now

Labels: , , , ,

It looks like AT&T has just released the HP iPAQ Glisten (formerly the iPAQ K3 Obsidian) for $179.99 USD on a 2-year contract. It's available online, at least, but I don't know if they have them in stores at the moment. Check it out on AT&T's website!

Future Shop Now Offering the HTC Hero and the LG BL40 For $50, Throwing In $50 Gift Card Too

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

On Telus both the LG BL40 (as the LG Chocolate) and the HTC Hero are going for $99.99 CAD on a 3-year contract. If you want either phone you should get them at Future Shop though. From now until December 17th, they're offering both handsets for just $49.99 CAD on a 3-year contract and they'll even throw in an extra $50 Gift Card as well! That's a pretty sweet deal for the HTC Hero, in my opinion - and the BL40, of course. "Offer valid in-store only" so get out of your bed.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Launching On January 18th, According to Play.com

Labels: , , , , , ,

We've heard a couple of dates for the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and while this one could be fake I might as well report it on this slow news Saturday. Play.com here now has a listing for the XPERIA X10 for £529.99 ($861 USD), but the more interesting part is "Due for release on 18/01/2010." That's January 18th, 2010. I don't think this date will stick, but oh well. At least you have another price tag for this smartphone.

Fake Apple Tablet Video Spotted Online, Actually Very Nice

Labels: , , ,

A fake video of the Apple tablet in action popped up last night. Yes, it is fake, but it's definitely worth talking about because it's a pretty damn good fake video. A lot of sites are actually wishing it was real, but you can judge for yourself below if you like it or not. I'm in the "WANT" category, but it'll be too expensive for me.

Google Phones (Nexus One) Being Handed Out To Employees, Apparently Beautiful

Labels: , , ,

It's starting to look like those Google phones we've been hearing about for a while now are starting to become real. Some tweeters out there (from Google Program Manager Leslie Hawthorn) stated that "ZOMG we had fireworks and we all got the new Google phone. It's beautiful." The tweet is here, if you're interested. The phone is reportedly made by HTC and is running on Android 2.1.

Another tweet (from this guy) states, "The new Google Phone runs on HTC hardware. I saw it w/ Android 2.1. Homescreen has new visual enhancements like animated desktop wallpaper." This phone will have a scroll ball like the HTC Hero (I was hoping for an optical trackpad to be honest) and hopefully doesn't have that annoying chin. Who else is excited!? Let's wait for an announcement people!

Update: It's really real! Check out Google's Official blog post on Google Mobile here.

Update: According to Gizmodo, the WSJ is naming the Google Phone, the Nexus One. We're hearing that this phone has a "weirdly" large camera sensor on the back. Other specs have been floating, but nothing specific yet. This phone will reportedly hit the market unlocked and will be available online in January 2010. That's all speculation though - I believe - let's hope it's not too expensive.

Motorola Titanium Passes FCC With EV-DO Rev. A, Another Android Handset?

Labels: , , , , , ,

Engadget Mobile has just unearthed a new handset from Motorola, called the Titanium. The FCC filing is here, but not much is revealed. They do find that it'll operate on EV-DO Rev. A connectivity, which will likely mean it'll be destined for either Sprint or Verizon. They're assuming it'll be running Android, but it's not 100% sure right now.

Don't Expect Windows Mobile 7 Until Late 2010, Says Microsoft

Labels: , , ,

It seems like Windows Mobile 7 is never going to come out. Microsoft has just mentioned that WinMo 7 isn't expected to launch until late 2010 at the earliest. They mentioned that it will be out this year, but it has been delayed several times at this point. Let's hope it all works out for Microsoft before they lose all of their trusty WinMo fans.

Acer A1 Liquid To Ship With Android 2.0 In 2010, Probably When Android 2.1 Is Already Out

Labels: , , , ,

So, the Acer A1 Liquid has just been launched in the UK and it has just passed the FCC with 3G bands for North America. The good news here is that Acer has just mentioned that the Liquid will be running Android 2.0 in 2010. It'll be shipping with it, so I don't think right now is a good time to buy one...

I'm assuming that they'll make the current ones upgradeable, but don't quote be on that.
