Finally, Archos has spilled the beans on its Windows 7 tablet, the Archos 9. The 80GB and 160GB model will be sold for £449.99 ($735 USD) and £499.99 ($816 USD), respectively. According to Stuff.tv, this tablet will be available this September, even though the official release of Windows 7 is not until October 22nd. Sony Ericsson "Kiki" Handset Looks Awkward

Labels: , ,

Sony Ericsson didn't stop with the new "Rachael" XPERIA. A new leak (above) shows off an awkward looking Sony Ericsson "Kiki" handset. According to Engadget, "the screen is made of glass, with am image seemingly rear-projected onto it (teleprompter style), while the keys are, um, scarce. Mobil was able to offer few hints as to how this works or what it all does, and it seems like it falls far short of the functionality of a feature phone." Kind of weird looking, but hit up this Mobil link for more information. It seems kind of weird...

Android-Based Sony Ericsson XPERIA "Rachael" Revealed?

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

What? Could this really be Sony Ericsson's first Android handset? If so, I really should stop making fun of them because this looks amazing - to say the least. This Android-based Sony Ericsson XPERIA codenamed "Rachael" is said to have some juicy specs as well, such as: a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, HSPA connectivity, an 8MP camera, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Unfortunately, the size of the touchscreen display is unknown (and it doesn't specify whether it's resistive / capacitive) and it doesn't look like it has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard anywhere. So much for all XPERIA's running WinMo, eh? Could this be a newer model of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X5? So many questions, but we're just going to have to wait!!

Amazing job Sony Ericsson, but please pull through on this handset. I'll never make fun of them again if this hits the shelves. Don't die yet Sony Ericsson! You still have to make this Android handset and that rumoured PSP Phone.

5-Inch Android-Based Archos MID Expected to Launch on September 15

Labels: , , , , ,

Big news today! Remember that Android-based 5-inch Archos 5 MID / tablet? Well, a recent leak points to Archos releasing this MID on September 15. This is pretty big news, seeing how just 2 days ago, they announced the Archos 2 / 3 / 9. We'll see how this MID / tablet fares out, but it looks quite promising with a rumoured 5-inch touchscreen display and 500GB of onboard storage. It's also been said that it will be just 10mm thick aka 1cm. Hopefully, Archos will officially announce this MID / tablet soon because I want to know more about this.
