Canada To Get the Samsung Wave Via Bell This Summer?

Labels: , , , , , ,

Mobile Syrup is hearing from their sources that Canada's Bell will be launching the Samsung (S8500) Wave sometime this Summer. This tipster is apparently the same one who gave them the HTC Legend tip as well. For a refresher, this handset sports a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 resolution, a 5MP AF camera with a flash, a 1GHz Samsung CPU, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, and the new Bada OS underneath the Touchwiz UI 3.0 skin. This is great news because Canada seems to be getting some high-end smartphones these days.

The GCF tells us that this Android-based smartphone has quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE / dual-band UMTS/HSDPA (900/2100MHz) connectivity. You should already know that this handset has WiFi b/g/n along with Bluetooth 3.0. The rumours state that this handset will get launched as a part of Samsung's Galaxy line-up.

With all of the other products that are already out, $399 may be a bit high seeing how it's still running last year's Atom CPU. Check it out on their official website here.
