Rogers has thought that today would be a good day to slash the prices on five of their handsets, four of which are running Android. The Acer Liquid E is now available for $29.99 (down from $49.99), the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is now $99.99 (down from $149.99), the Motorola Quench is $29.99 (down from $49.99), and the Samsung Galaxy Spica is now $9.99 (down from $79.99 and not pictured). The other handset that has gone through a price cut is Rogers' Bada-based handset, the Samsung Wave. It launched a couple of weeks ago for $99.99 and now it's $79.99. Rogers released it for $99.99 this morning and Bell has released it too. However, Bell has released it for $29.95 on a 3-year contract, $149.95 on a 2-year contract, $249.95 on a 1-year contract, and $299.95 contract-free. At this point it's looking like Bell will be getting the Samsung Wave for $29.95 on a 3-year contract and $299.95 contract-free. If you're on Rogers and was expecting the price to be just about the same then it's a sad day for you. Rogers has just released the Bada-based smartphone for a whopping $99.99 on a 3-year contract and $474.99 contract-free - cosndering Bell's prices. Well, what do we have here? We already know that the Samsung Wave will be hitting Canada via Bell and Rogers and it looks like it has just been priced. According to the picture above, Bell will be launching it for $29.95 on a 3-year contract and $299.95 contract-free. This Bada-based handset is definitely priced lower than I expected it to be. I think it's a great deal, so look out for it soon.

There's really not much to tell you but the picture above is apparently a dummy unit of the Samsung Wave headed to Rogers. As expected, Canada will absolutely be getting the Samsung Wave, thanks to Bell. The specs of the smartphone have been known for a while but in case you forgot, it has a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED WVGA (480 x 800 resolution) resolution, a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, a 1GHz CPU, and the Bada OS with a hint of Touchwiz 3.0. The handset will be hitting the carrier on July 8th and looks like it could be available for $199.95 - $299.95 before a $100 mail-in rebate.

Mobile Syrup heard that Bell was going to be releasing the Bada-based Samsung Wave handset last month and another one of their reliable tipsters has mentioned that it could be hitting another Canadian carrier as well. If you read the title then I already ruined it and told you that Rogers will be getting it. This handset has already been confirmed to have a CPU inside of it which is extremely similar to the one found in the iPhone 4 but that's not really important. The most important part of this is how user-friendly the Bada OS is.

As expected, the Bada-based Samsung Wave is now shipping to its customers if you ordered yours on Vodafone UK (here). This handset sports a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, a 1GHz CPU, a 5MP camera, Bluetooth 3.0 support, WiFi n, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. You can, of course, get this handset for free on select contracts.

So the Bada-based Samsung Wave has just hit a couple of places in Europe, well there's some good news. The Samsung SCH-F859 is going to be a Samsung Wave as well, but this one will have CDMA (EVDO Rev. A) connectivity. All of the other specs, of course, stay the same so you won't be missing out on anything. This model is expected to hit China Telecom in the future but who knows exactly when.

If you live in Europe and you're waiting for the Bada-based Samsung Wave then there's some good news for you: it's now available - in Germany, France, and the UK. This handset packs a pretty good specs sheet with its 3.3-inch Super AMOLED display, a 5MP camera with HD video recording, a 1GHz CPU, Bluetooth 3.0 / WiFi n support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, DivX / XviD support, and the Touchwiz 3.0 UI.

Don't forget that this handset will be hitting Vodafone UK on June 1st and Samsung also whispered that the Bada SDK 1.0.0 should be available "shortly."

Vodafone is now taking pre-orders for the Bada based Samsung Wave. The handset itself will be available on June 1st. You can get this handset for free on a 2-year contract where you'll have to pay £25 ($36 USD) monthly.

Well, Samsung has finally released their first Bada handset, the Samsung (S8500) Wave. It's being reported that you'll be able to find this handset for €429 ($545 USD) unlocked somewhere in Germany. If you live in Italy, you can also pre-order the handset (here) for slightly cheaper at €399 ($506 USD). This handset is sporting a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display (480 x 800 resolution), a 1GHz CPU, WiFi b/g/n / aGPS support, Bluetooth 3.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash, and HSDPA / HSUPA connectivity.

Mobile Syrup is hearing from their sources that Canada's Bell will be launching the Samsung (S8500) Wave sometime this Summer. This tipster is apparently the same one who gave them the HTC Legend tip as well. For a refresher, this handset sports a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 resolution, a 5MP AF camera with a flash, a 1GHz Samsung CPU, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, and the new Bada OS underneath the Touchwiz UI 3.0 skin. This is great news because Canada seems to be getting some high-end smartphones these days.

Two phones seem to be headed to the UK, thanks to Vodafone. It's the Samsung Wave running on their Bada OS and the Android-based Samsung Galaxy S which will be one of the handsets to hit the market. You can actually check them both out on Vodafone's "Coming Soon" page here or you can get the Samsung Wave unlocked on Amazon here for £349.99 ($517 USD) but it's just pre-orders for now. Either way, you should look out for these two in the near future.

Update: According to Unwired View, the Coming Soon page also shows that Vodafone has confirmed that they'll be launching the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini in the future. We just don't know when yet so you can look out for this one as well.

We already know that the Samsung (S8500) Wave will be hitting Europe in the near future, but what about us in North America. The good news is that the handset could be hitting our region in the future as well, seeing how the Bluetooth SIG has just approved the GT-S8500R and the GT-S8500M which mentions that it'll get launched in North America. Now we play the waiting game.

Samsung's first Bada handset, the Samsung Wave, looks like it'll be hitting Europe since it's just been spotted at the GCF with dual-band 900/2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA connectivity. We don't know which carrier will get it right now, so we'll have to wait for that. Carphone Warehouse will likely be getting it in the future seeing how they already have a page dedicated for this phone.

The first Bada phone from Samsung has just been priced thanks to Amazon Germany and, yes, I'm talking about the Samsung Wave. This handset packs a pretty nice spec sheet that rivals Google's Nexus One. It's priced at around €429, which is about $579 USD, unlocked.
