All of these Motorola Android handsets get quite confusing after a while and the company has announced two more devices set for Taiwan. The first one is the Quench MB501, which is the Cliq XT and the other one is the Quench XT3 (XT502). The Cliq XT features a 3.1-inch touchscreen display, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash, and WiFi / aGPS support. The XT3 is a new device and it features a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, a 600MHz Qualcomm CPU, a 3MP camera, WiFi / Bluetooth / GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android 1.6 with a new UI. Rogers has thought that today would be a good day to slash the prices on five of their handsets, four of which are running Android. The Acer Liquid E is now available for $29.99 (down from $49.99), the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is now $99.99 (down from $149.99), the Motorola Quench is $29.99 (down from $49.99), and the Samsung Galaxy Spica is now $9.99 (down from $79.99 and not pictured). The other handset that has gone through a price cut is Rogers' Bada-based handset, the Samsung Wave. It launched a couple of weeks ago for $99.99 and now it's $79.99. Yet another Android-based handset from Motorola has been approved by the FCC (filing here). This is the Motorola XT502 "Greco" that hit the Bluetooth SIG about 5 weeks ago. The FCC referred to this phone as the Quench XT3 / XT5 and it'll definitely be a mid-range Android handset. It's said to pack WiFi / aGPs / Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and 850 / 1900 / 2100MHz 3G bands. This version would be perfect for AT&T in the US and the three major carriers in Canada (Rogers, Bell, Telus).

It looks like Canada can now get their hands-on the Rogers Motorola Quench. This handset, in case you forgot, sports a 3.1-inch touchscreen display with a 320 x 480 resolution, a 5MP AF camera with a flash and video recording capabilities, WiFi / Bluetooth support, GPS, a microSD card slot, and Android 1.5 underneath of MOTOBLUR.

This handset is now available and it's priced at $49.99 on a 3-year contract, $324.99 on a 2-year contract, $374.99 on a 1-year contract, and $424.99 contract-free. Check it out on Rogers' website.

Canada's Rogers are starting to get their share of dummy units of the Motorola Quench that they're about to launch. Mobile Syrup points out that the handset will be officially released sometime next week for $49.99 on a 3-year contract with a $374.99 / $424.99 contract-free price. Look for this Android-based phone with it's MOTOBLUR skin.

Well, so much for that inventory screenshot we saw last week that stated that the contract-free price of the Rogers Motorola Quench would be $374.99. This new leak shows that it'll be available for $49.99 on a 3-year contract and $424.99 contract-free. The other price that seems to be confirmed here is the Acer Liquid E's price on a 3-year contract which is $79.99.

Canada will be getting the Motorola Quench sometime in the future, thanks to Rogers. This handset will, unfortunately, be running on Android 1.5. According to this inventory leak, the handset will be priced at $374.99 contract-free. The other not confirmed price is that it will be available for $49.99 on a 3-year contract.

It looks like Buy is taking pre-orders on a couple of handset right now. You can pre-order three handsets - from each of the three major carriers - for a $50 in-store deposit. I'm talking about Bell's Motorola DEXT, the Rogers Motorola Quench, and the Telus BlackBerry Pearl (9100) 3G. Check them out on Best Buy's website here.

We knew this was coming, Rogers' ad the other day was wrong. The other day, the ad showed the Motorola DEXT - which Bell is launching not Rogers - and now it shows the handset that Rogers will actually be launching. Rogers has unofficially confirmed that they'll be launching the Motorola Quench. We already knew that this would happen by default almost two months ago. Now the real question is when.

It looks like Canada is getting a couple of good Motorola Android-based phones in the first half of this year. Apparently, the include the Motorola DEXT (CLIQ in the US), the Quench (CLIQ XT in the US), and the Backflip. All of these handsets have Motorola's own MOTOBLUR skin (for social integration) over top of Android. Unfortunately, we don't know which carrier will get what handset so we'll have to wait around for that information. Check out Motorola's site here.

It looks like the Motorola Zeppelin has just been announced and it'll be called the CLIQ XT in the US and the Quench in Europe. Unfortunately, they're sticking with the old-school Android 1.5 with a touch of MOTOBLUR on this handset which is upsetting since the CLIQ in the US should get updated to Android 2.1 in March. Anyways, it's got a 3.1-inch touchscreen display with a 320 x 480 resolution, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash, WiFi / aGPS support, and HSDPA connectivity. Oh yeah, no QWERTY keyboard on this one.
