Acer has just unveiled the Ferrari Special Edition of their Liquid E handset at Computex. The spec sheet is the exact same but this one has its own matching Bluetooth headset. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without the unique Ferrari F1 red paint job. In case you forgot, the handset itself has a 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 5MP AF camera, a microSD card slot, a 768MHz underclocked Snapdragon CPU, Android 2.1, and an 8GB card in the box. This hasn't been priced or dated yet.

Two new leaks have trickled out. One is regarding the BlackBerry Pearl 3G (9100) and the other one is about the Android-based Acer Liquid E. As you can see, both of these handsets should be hitting Rogers for $49.99 on a 3-year contract, $324.99 on a 2-year contract, $374.99 on a 1-year contract and $424.99 contract-free. Boy Genius actually got another inventory screenshot that shows that the Pearl 3G will actually be available for $29.99 on a 3-year contract, so we'll just have to wait and see which becomes reality. Both of these handsets should be available over the next couple of days.

Acer Liquid E In Canada's Rogers' Inventory Shows $79.99 Contract Price
Another one of Mobile Syrup's tipsters have just snagged a picture of the Acer Liquid E in Canada's Rogers inventory. Last week we heard that Rogers will be launching the handset for $49.99 on a 3-year contract and today's screenshot shows that it'll be available for $79.99. Let's hope that Rogers decides to go with the cheaper $49.99 price tag, but it'll definitely be below $100. The contract-free $375 price tag seems to be set in stone though.

Acer Liquid E Hitting Canada's Rogers This June For $49.99 On a 3-Year Contract
At this point we already know that Canada's Rogers will be getting the Acer Liquid E which will be running Android 2.1. Yesterday, an inventory screenshot told us that Rogers will be launching it for $374.99 contract-free. Now we know that it's expected to launch in June for $49.99 on a 3-year contract which isn't bad for this pretty amazing handset. Hopefully we can overclock that CPU to 1GHz though - since it is a Snapdragon.

Canada's Rogers To Launch the Acer Liquid E Handset For $374.99 Contract-Free
So Canada's Rogers is going to launch the Android-based Acer Liquid E handset soon. According to this inventory leak, this handset will be retailing for $374.99 contract-free. Not much left to tell you here because the contract prices are still unknown. I doubt it'll be launching for $199.99 on a 3-year contract though because that's a pretty cheap contract-free price. For comparison's sake, the XPERIA X10 is $149.99 on a 3-year contract and it's $549.99 contract-free.

Rogers looks like they managed to snag up another Android exclusivity, this time we're talking about the Acer Liquid e. This handset is extremely similar to their own Liquid handset but it's sporting Android 2.1. It'll feature a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 5MP AF camera with video capabilities, an underclocked 768MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, WiFi / GPS / Bluetooth support, and a microSD card slot. We don't know exactly when Rogers will be launching this handset, but it'll be available sometime in Spring. Check out what Acer had to say here.
